I know everyone else swears by the Smashbox primers. However, as someone who's tried Smashbox and found it lacking, I can honestly say that I think Welcome Matte from Laura Geller is a far superior product.

I first tried Welcome Matte as a tester I received from a Sephora.com online order. I loved it immediately - it's not greasy, and it takes care of the shine I sometimes get on my nose and forehead. I was pleasantly surprised last time I was in a store and saw that it was on sale for 50% off! So I happily grabbed my full sized tube and went on my merry way.

Welcome Matte is better than any primer I have ever used. It is better than Laura's Spackle. I am never without Welcome Matte. Could you double the size of the tube? That would be great. Margo

I used this first as a sample and was really impressed with how it minimized/covered the pores in my nose area, which nothing has been able to do before. I do not use it to tackle oil and shine primarily, but I can say that my nose is never shiny when I use it. It would be nice if this product was available in a larger size. A little does go a long way, but it would be more convenient in terms of restocking!

i don't like laura geller spackle at ALL. i first got this product as a sample, and really love it. a little goes a long way, it does what it says it will, and it's invisible, plus you can reapply as much as you like with no weirdness.

We live in area where it can get humid and I get alot of shine on my face 2-3 hours after applying makeup. Tried this product with hope it would help. Worked great on a trip to part of US without humidity. But at home, don't see great results.

Poreless wonder!!!

This is the first and ONLY pore minimizing product that has worked for me. I have very large pores and this does the trick.
The beauty is, that you can put this on under your make up for a shine free look AND THEN..... apply it on top of your makeup for a poreless matte airbrush look to your skin.

It would be even better if it came in a bigger size for about the same price.. this little thing works well with my oily summer skin. Leaves a nice soft finish and I will continue using until I find something better!

Perfect oil-absorber for stubbornly oily skin. A little goes a long way so this will last a long time even when applying daily. Can be used under makeup or over for middle of the day touch-ups. It goes on smoothly and finishes sort of like a powder.

I use this product in combination with the smashbox anti-shine antibrilliance neutral primer and it helps to control my oily skin. The product goes on smooth and you should only use a very small amount of the smashbox primer because the smashbox has a tendency to get cakey. My skin is very oily and the 2 products are great together!! This is my second purchase.
