I have very fair skin, and never would have tried this in Spotlight but I got it as an insider sample and fell in love. It adds a beautiful subtle glow, and does not look weirdly shimmery or glittery at all. It looks equally beautiful in natural, fluorescent, and incandescent light. Often for a natural look I will use this as eyeshadow and put a little on my cupid's bow, but it works best when i use it over a matte powder to being a little life to my face and chest. I also blend it with a bronzing powder to make it a bit more subtle and luminous. This is a fantastic product, and I always have it in my purse. I get a lot of compliments on "glowing skin" which a look and a comment I love. I would absolutely recommend this product if you want a subtle golden glow rather than something glistening or twinkling.

Quick Take: pearly glow
I have searched and researched every brand of luminizing product. At Sephora, I looked at every single brand, and believe it or not, this was the last. It is perfect. Not glittery. People noticed it right away, but could not figure out what was different on my face. It is beautiful as an eyeshadow, too. Do not use too much product. I bought the lightest shade. Will never buy another brand as long as this is around.

Quick Take: natural glow
This product was recommended to be by a Sephora makeup artist and I have loved it. The powder gives you a light-as-air, glowing effect minus the glittery look you can get with other luminizing products.

Quick Take: sheer coverage
When I looked at the color in the compact, I thought it was terrible, a strange yellow/gold. When applied to the skin, it becomes a translucent, sheer. glow. No glitter, just a pearlescent glow .. I use over foundation and really like the product. Definitely oil free but does not leave my skin with a powdery, caked look. Best powder I have found!!

Lovely pop of something to add a glow to your makeup.
It was a toss up with this and the balm s version...I'm ecstatic with my decision..I went with the luminous..I have fair to medium skin, and when used right, it imparts a dewy glow. Not shiny/Oily/glittery. I dab it on my cupids bow, & dust it with powder brush down bridge of nose, & over cheekbones..I use a small eyeshadow brush lightly under my eyes, & to highlight my browbones...GORGEOUS. Twilight...- 12.14.09

Bought this after reading an article on Allure.com quoting products makeup artists are using to re-create a Twilight type glow. Glow it does...I think this is too much shimmer for me, butI may just need to experiment further with a much, much lighter dusting of this powder.

I liked this product when I tried on my friend's so I decided to get it myself. It was okay. It's very subtle and doesn't last for a while. I personally do not think it was worth the price and I'm planning to return it soon. I would rather get this in the liquid version Lorac has.

I absolutely love this powder! When I'm in a rush in the mornings and don't have time to do full makeup or use foundation, I quickly brush this on and it keeps my skin looking fresh with a bit of a glow. I get compliments all the time. For sure worth the money - lasts a long time!
This is a really great shimmer powder for people who want highlighting without obvious flakes of glitter. Plus it comes in three shades so you're not locked in to something super light just because you want highlighting. I use it on high part of my cheekbones, forehead, chin, browbone. User friendly, hard to overdo.

Don't just pat on a small area to try...- 09.04.09
I liked the Luminizing Powder in-store but when I applied it at home all over my face it really didn't look nice. It actually gave me a 'dirty', as in dirt on my face, look. Maybe the shade I bought was too dark? I should remember to always try products on in-store the same way I would use them at home and to walk outside to see how they look in daylight.
I give it 2 stars because it does make a lovely eye shadow!

I like how this one doesn't come out overly glittery or too frosty. It gives a nice luminous glow but it doesn't over power at all. Some of the highlighters I've used come out way too frosty looking. This one is definitely on the more natural side. I like that it's oil free so that it doesn't clog pores. What I also notice about this one is that it doesn't enlarge my pores. I noticed that some other highlighters will do that.
