SEPHORA COLLECTION Classic Powder Brush #48

What it is:This brush applies all types of powders evenly across your face while airbrush-blending the makeup beneath it.What it does:The tightly packed goat-hair bristles grab and distribute powders evenly for maximum control. Its rounded shape works equally well across the forehead, nose, chin, and jawline. The short handle makes it incredibly easy to use (it's great for beginners!). It's also prime for dusting off excess makeup.

Sheds
-05.08.13
This brush is nice and soft, but it sheds bristles like crazy. I'd take it back, but it's the only one from Sephora that fits into my small makeup bag... so efficiency over quality this time.

It's alright
-02.23.13
Quick Take: goat hair
I wanted to try this out because I needed a powder brush and this was my first choice. After several uses, the bristles of the brush were falling already. Some were sticking to my face as I use it. Although it does pick up a lot of a product so that's a good part about it.
To sum it up, this brush is so so. I expected a lot because it does come from the Sephora collection.

just no
-02.07.13
I bought this brush to use for loose powder. The powder did not stick to the bristles at all, making it useless. On top of that, it sheds everywhere. Returned right away...no thanks.

Misleading and disappointing results
-09.06.12
This brush seemed so good at the store when I tried it. Then I got home and that was not true at all. More than a dozen bristles fell out as I was applying my powder blush. I couldnt believe it, this was the first time I used it! So disappointing. The only redeeming quality was the smoothness of the application.

Brushes are expensive, so I'm glad this one turned out to be great! Powder goes on really sheer and even.

Love it! Soft!
-06.10.12
Well, it does shed, but not that much with me. Average, my case, 1 - 2 hair each 3 uses. I am totally fine with it because I had worse brush that shed like crazy.
Love its softness. The price was really out of my budget as a student, but I wanted to treat myself. The thickness of the hair is feels so good. It feels so nice on my cheeks. So, I only wore makeup for occasions, but this brush made me want to wear some powder everyday.
I bought it first, then I went to some other stores and compred their brushes. The others felt so hard with their hair, so I am reallly happy with my expensive choice.

Not so good
-03.10.12
Quick Take: soft bristles
This brush is soft and is great for powders and blushes, but like other reviewers have said, it sheds all over! The day after I bought it, the bristles started falling out - about 3-4 of them every time I use it. At this rate, it will be totally bald in a few months!

compared to the other sephora brushes i have bought i am unimpressed with this one. it does shed a little and is not as soft as other sephora brushes in the same line. the professional line is definitely worth the extra few dollars.

Quick Take: soft bristles, does not shed
Very soft bristles that feel wonderful on your skin. Perfect for applying powder, blushes and bronzer - love it! Does not shed either, which is a problem I run into with a lot of face brushes.

Quick Take: perfect shape of brush
I have used plenty of powder brushes, but most disappoint me. This one was amazing because it was gentle to the skin (although it needs to be used a few times or else you'l feel slight itchiness from the tips poking your skin). Overall, it's perfect on the go.

Quick Take: soft bristles
Mine is a couple years old and it barely ever sheds, although I washed it a number of times with water and soap. I don’t know if the quality of newer brushes is worse but I don’t have any problems with my brush. I use it to apply loose powder and it works just fine. It is also the right size for me: it’s big enough to apply powder on my face in a few sweeps but small enough to keep it in my bag as I need touchups during the day. The bristles are soft and don’t pick up too much loose powder.

Disappointed
-12.22.11
I purchased the Classic Powder Brush # 48 thinking I was getting a great product. I wanted to splurge and find a quality brush so I broke down and spent $30 bucks on this. Every time I use the brush the brush hairs break and are left all over my face and neck. I am so disappointed, I should have stuck with my inexpensive brush purchased from the drug store.

Loose bristles
-08.03.11
It's a nice looking and feeling brush BUT bristles were on my face after the use. I even exchanged it for another one to be sure mine wasn't defective. Nope... It happened again.
