SEPHORA COLLECTION Classic The Complexion Brush #53

What it is:This brush expertly sweeps all types of powders pressed, loose, translucent, blush, or bronzer across the entire face and sculpts features beautifully. What it does:While the domed top applies color evenly, the tapered, chisled head is designed to fit the contours and crevices of your face for when you need more control. It's your all around go-to for dusting, sweeping, and setting. Made of goat hair, its bristles are coarse and thick to easily control how much pigment is applied.

Great brush!

Quick Take: soft bristles, natural hair
I just purchased another one of these brushes. When I got the first one I didn't know quite what to do with it at first but I eventually discovered it was awesome for my more pigmented blushes. It deposits just the right amount of color. Now I have two for when one is dirty. I wash it with shampoo and them rub in a little--very little--leave- in conditioner. This softens this natural bristle brush quite nicely. I have noticed no shedding. Another plus. Very nice quality brush for the price.

Soft bristles, smaller than appears
-04.24.13
I was expecting a fluffier brush for powder. This seems to be more like a blush brush to me. It is soft. I have noticed some loose bristles/fibers on my face. It's not expensive though as far as brushes go.

What is this brush good for?
-04.16.13
Quick Take: useless
Seemed like it was gonna be a lot bigger than it was online but it was too small to be anything useful really. Too big for foundation, too small for blush (if that makes sense)...I was looking for a foundation brush and I ended up returning this thing. No wonder it was on sale!

Quick Take: soft bristles
I was concerned after reading the reviews about the brush falling apart all over my face. But I've been very happy using this on a day-to-day basis. I don't think I've had any noticeable bristle breaks. The brush is soft and evenly applies my blush. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Very soft but this brush sheds way too much. I would not recommend it.

Has its flaws
-03.14.13
The brush was great when I first got it but after a few weeks it was a knotty mess. Even after using brush cleaners on it I can't keep it from getting matted up.

Falling apart
-01.17.13
I love everything that has Sephora's name on it. This brush isn't what I expected it to be. Bristles fall constantly. The brush is already falling apart.

Good enough for me!
-11.10.12
For the first time I purchased a loose mineral powder foundation and needed a brush for application. I wanted something reasonable priced that would get the job done. A sales rep actually helped me pick it out. I've been using it for months now and have no complaints.

Very versatile
-11.07.12
Quick Take: versatile, loose hair, even application
Love this brush! I use it to apply Tarte translucent powder. It is loose enough that the powder doesn't concentrate.

Works well but...
-10.20.12
The bristles fall out with every use. Owned it 2 days and I'm plucking bristles off of my face with every use. I use it to apply translucent setting powder.
