Beautiful almost instantly!

Quick Take: miracle, clearing, gentle
This treatment REALLY improved the look of a few areas my daughter had discoloring after a bad breakout. The areas were so dark, and just wouldn't go away (even after the breakout cleared the marks were there for weeks). Just after a few days of using this product, the marks were visibly fading. After a week or so, her skin was back to it's normal beautiful self. Highly recommend this wonderful product!!!

This product is okay. I give it four stars for consistency. Always the same results everytime. I think this is meant to be used with another product but not as a main method of getting rid of dark spots. Bottom line- you are getting what you pay for. Use this everyday and you will gradually see results, just do not expect a dramatic change.

As someone who suffers from discoloration left behind from old acne marks, some of them lasting for months, I really had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately, it didn't do much of anything. By the time I used up the entire product, my dark spots were still just the same as ever. I must say, however, that this product hydrated the spots, which can get dry and flaky - but that's something a good moisturizer can do as well.
On the plus side, the product was not irritating whatsoever. I wasn't a fan of the packaging - it was quite fidely and cheap. I hope this works better for other people - it personally didn't do anything for me.

Quick Take: moisturizing, gentle, slow acting
I like this product because it is much gentler than the hydroquinone I had been using earlier for my blemishes. After hearing how bad hydroquinone is for the skin, I decided to purchase this and I'm glad I did.
I have been using this product for my post-acne marks for about 3 weeks now and I've seen a reduction in the redness of my marks. It's definitely not a dramatic change and I'm sure that exfoliating my skin with my papaya enzyme peel weekly has accelerated the fading process. However, I will most likely buy this product again because it is such a gentle formula and it works, if you give it time! If you want a quick change in the appearance of your post-acne marks, then use hydroquinone. But if you want a gentler product and are willing to wait it out, then definitely get this product. :)

Don't bother

I have used this, as directed, for a two week period and I saw no change. However, being that I have sensitive skin, I will say it didn't cause any problems. it just didn't make my post blemish red spot disappear at all. Bummer. I will be returning it.

Quick Take: gentle formula, natural, good as a spot treatment
I've been using this for over a year, and just noticed the bad reviews. I rarely leave reviews at all, but wanted to on this. I agree the people who have given it bad reviews may not be using it properly. I don't have much acne, but when I do, I get scars on my chin - I use this in the mornings after washing my face, before moisturizer, and it fades the scars much faster. I did switch to the more expensive version of this that Clinique has, the Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector, and hated it. I returned it and exchanged for another tube of this. I don't think it runs out fast, but as mentioned, I only use it in the mornings and in very small areas. I tend to notice that I don't see a difference in the scar daily, but one day they seem like they are almost gone completely...I usually stop using this at that point until I have another scar to work on. My only negative aside from I wish it worked a bit faster, is that it isn't available in the store by me - I have to order it online or get it somewhere else.

For the price of this product, I will have to say that it ok. I cant see drastic changes but I do feel as though it has slowly faded out some red areas of mine due to acne. This product runs out quickly. I would say using it morning and night it would last 2 weeks depending on the amount of area you are treating. I have already bought another product, yes it is costly but you get what you pay for.

Quick Take: gentle formula
I was still hopeful about this product, despite the reviews. I know this isn't a spot treatment and I bought it specifically to make my acne scars fade - I have tan skin and the acne scars are even darker. I've been using the product every day for two weeks and I don't think it's made much more of a difference than had I continued to use my usual clean and clear acne treatment. However, I think I'd rather use this clinique product than the C&C (as a wayward splatter of that has bleached my carpet - yikes). I'm not sure how long this product is supposed to take if I use it as directed! I would change my review if I knew that it was working faster/slower. For now, I'll say it's been two weeks and I've seen minimal fading - it works, but it doesn't work as fast as I had hoped.

I agree that the negative reviews on here may be due to people not using it as directed. This formula is not for acne, but for the little red marks acne leaves behind once it's cleared up. These marks fade naturally on their own (albeit very, very slowly) and this product helps to speed up the process. I use it twice a day after washing my face and there are marks that I've had for a while that have shrunk in half! The results keep getting better when you use it consistently. Love it!

I have cystic acne and I have a lot of scarring. I have one in particular from Christmas eve that left a scar about the size of a dime. I received this on 1/23 and used it that night and the following morning and night. As of this morning (1/25) I have noticed a significant lightening in the dark spot I was trying to fade. I'm sure most dark spots from blemishes fade on their own but I know this is what caused the fading of mine. I will continue to use!

Honestly, I can't tell a difference between the amount of time it takes a blemish spot to fade naturally as opposed to when I used the product on it. I'm going to finish the stick, but probably won't purchase this again.

Like other reviewers - am surprised this is rated low. It works really well, but you do need to use it consistently and be patient to see the results! My dark acne spots do clear up when using this, and I did see older scars fade with continued use. Great product and very good price.

I just have to say, even though it is supposed to be put on blemishes just after theyve healed up and have left a scar, i've been using this for about 3 days, twice a day, and an acne scar from about 4 months ago is fading already. This is a really good product, and a really good price!

I was surprised to see this rated so low. Then, I realized that many users are not using the product as intended. It is not for active acne blemishes, nor long-existing acne scars. Instead, it is intended for use on recently healed/healing blemishes. As soon as they are in the part of their cycle where they are starting to heal/dry up/go away, using this product will grealy reduce the time for the red mark to heal/fade away and prevent future scarring. I am very fair skinned and get few blemishes. But, when I do, they are big, they are painful, and when they are gone, when left untreated, they will leave a red mark on my face for weeks and weeks after the blemish is gone. Clinique had temporarily discontinued this product and I was so disappointed. I bought up what I could find on Ebay, since it is the only "spot treatment" that works on greatly speeding up the fading and healing of POST breakout marks. I finally used up my supply and was looking for a replacement. But, I was so happy to see that tihs product was being made again. I hope they keep this product in their lineup indefinitely!!
