Not really a stain, more like a matte gloss

Quick Take: not a stain
The color is nice, but it sure doesn't work like a stain. It comes off just as easily as any lipstick or gloss. I really wanted something with more staying power. I'm going to return it :(

i have 2 of the stains-shy pink and a reddish color-dont know name right off. i have used them both as a lip AND cheek stain. the 2 colors are completely different and give 2 different looks but both are very nice. worth the money...little goes a long way and does last a fair amount of time.

I bought this product to add to my roster of Urban Decay lip stains. I love the Urban Decay product but they only have two colors of lip stains available. I thought that maybe this product would be similar - I was wrong. It is more like a "normal" lipstick than a stain.

I was so excited to try this product. I think the pink is a bit TOO shy. Wears more like a lipstick than a stain. Perhaps the darker shades will present better results and can't rule out trying one of those. The pink is just too light and does not stain - it just wears of. However this product does not dry my lips.

Quick Take: rich in color
its half stain half lip stick in a pot. the color is beautiful, a nice augmented natural. very rosy. but the staying power i am afraid to say is not there, lorac's sheer wash is a much more sure thing, which i also purchase. I just really, really like this color! Apply with a lip brush.

I like the concept of a lipstain, but this color didn't go well with me as I tried it for a while. I tried mulberry-with fair skin. I'm in pursuit of a good lipstain and I'll just try another color, it went back btw. I did find it to be a bit too dry.

This is really nice! It's matte and the Shy Pink is my favorite color, the other 3 colors are pretty extreme and literal and definitely not subtle!
This is more of a long lasting lipstick then a lipstain. I would say it lasts a few hours.

I love this lip stain. It is creamy and yet does not bleed into lip lines, and it has stay power. The color is great. Reminds me of a retro red from old Hollywood. Everyone at work noticed.

I have this in Mulberry. It gives a nice bitten look and you don't need much. It would be even more awesome if was a bit more conditioning, although my lips don't feel dry when I use it. I doesn't come off right away, which is good. It's not exactly glossy, but it has a slight sheen. It's pretty good though.

i love this stuff, i never write reviews but i read a million on stains before i bought one and this is the ish. just a lil gives ur lips that extra mmph. it lasts! i always use a peppermint oil and sugar exfoliator before dabbing with my finger on and its perrfect

Can be a little drying and can feather. I recommend you use a lip pencil to lightly line your lips before using. I have "Mulberry" and it's a very pretty berry.

It is a nice stain! It is thicker than most stains and less sheer. It is matte, to be sure. No shine (which is fine for me because I did not want shine!). I have fair skin and the mulberry is a bit dark. Nonetheless I use it and I like it! I also put some on my cheeks when I want to look 'bright.'
