Pretty pricey, but seems to be working so far. I haven't seen any major differences but my family does. It sometimes makes my forehead itchy or kind of burns on open pimples

Quick Take: hydrating
This lightener is everything. My dark spots are fading away without excessive flaking or peeling. I am so happy that I decided to try it. This is a must have for anyone with dark spots that need fading. Buy. Buy. Buy!

This works really good on the redness around my nose and the newer acne spots. I've only been using it for about 2 weeks though. My old acne spots have faded oh so slightly so I hope they'll be gone in a couple of months. It's hard to use it in the summer because the rest of my skin is getting tan and my face is still pale. I've been wearing sunscreen since I bought this (btw I really recommend shisedo sunscreen) so I don't know what it does to the skin when you don't have sunscreen. As for the product itself, I like how one pump of the product covers my whole face. The smell doesn't bother me at all and it wears off very fast. You have to let it dry before putting a lotion on top of it too. I only use it at night too I wouldn't recommend using it in the day because it can be a little sticky. I really like this product and I think it's worth the money but maybe you should buy it after summer so your face can get tan.

I have been in search for a product for my acne scars, I have a bunch on my chin area. After reading the reviews of this I was excited to purchase. When I first received this it seemed to work a bit at first in lightening the scars, but then it stopped there. I feel I had too high of hopes for this product. Maybe my scars are too dark, who knows. I do know I will be returning this.

Quick Take: disappointing
I was so excited to try this after reading all the reviews but I was disappointed that it didn't work as great as I thought it would. It did work to get rid of lighter acne scars, just not for the rest. I would recommend this for people who have lighter acne scars but not for more sever ones.

I have tried many dark spot correctors and this one is honestly my favorite. At one point I had so many dark spots on my back that I looked like a dalmation and this was the only thing that got rid of them all. I also use this on my arms, chest, etc. It works great and lasts a long time as a little goes a long way. I always keep a bottle of this around so that If I ever do get a breakout I can go ahead and use this to make sure I dont develop any very dark spots on my skin. This is also gentle on sensitive skin.

Quick Take: exfoliating, moisturizing
for the result, i will buy the producy again. It takes a while until you see big results. I've bought it for 3 months now and even my darkest spots acnes left me are gone. By gone, i mean COMPLETELY gone. I was disappoint at the product the first week or so, but now I am completely satisfied. It's just a small portion of how much a lazer treatment will charge you. Even you go through lazer treatment you'll need to use a sun screen afterwards too.

This stuff really works, within a week you'll notice improvement and lightening of scars or dark spots. It even seems like it's healing my acne a bit too. The smell is not so great, very chemically and you should DEFINITELY beware of the sun and use a strong SPF before you go out. Don't use it for a while after using for a few weeks so you don't over-do it.

Quick Take: effective, good as a spot treatment
I loved the results I got from this serum. It helped lessen my breakouts and I saw a drastic difference in the evenness of my skin. Here are the cons: It uses Hydroquinone, which is hazardous to health if overly used. It’s also expensive, how much it costs, how little you actually get, and how fast you use it up. In the end, this is a fantastic treatment because it does EXACTLY what it said it would do, but I didn’t repurchase it simply because I don’t want to use Hydroquinone too often. On top of many negative long-term effects, Hydroquinone also makes your skin extra sensitive to everything that could irritate and damage your skin (especially the sun). Although 2% is technically “safe”, it is still something to think about before buying.

I am african american with combination skin prone to acne. About two years ago I had a bout with adult acne (prior to this I had perfect skin), which included cystic bumps. Against the better advice of others, I picked, popped, and squeezed the pimples and cysts causing acne scars to form. I am a deep caramel skin tone, similar to the actress Megan Good (Nars Macao) but I scar VERY dark. The scars were particularly bad on my left cheek and a few on the right cheek. Luckily, I had no scars anywhere else. I was so ashamed of my skin that I rarely left the house without foundation or at least concealer and powder and even then some of the marks were visible under the makeup. I received two samples of this that lasted about a month and it seemed to work so went ahead and bought the whole bottle for $60. I just hoped it didn't make my skin uneven. It was totally worth it. One pump covers my whole face and I still have half the bottle, maybe more left! I started using this on 10/12/2012 and by the end of December I could see major improvements, most of the new scars were fading and I could see it working on my old ones as well. At this time, I stopped wearing makeup to let my skin breathe and to prevent anymore breakouts and scars. The recommended usage is twice a day, for 3 months, then take 3 months off due to the hydroquinone. I was only using it at night since I as worried about the sun damage if I used it in the am and I still saw results. Also, the sales lady said to only put in on your spots and not your whole face to prevent uneven skin tone. I did that at first but then I just started applying it to my whole face. I’m still the same color, the only thing that as lightened is the acne scars. I should also mention that this did not cause me to break out. I stopped using it in early January and by February I noticed that the scars were STILL fading and my entire left cheek is now scar free. They key to using this product is SPF 30 or higher. Do not skimp on this! If you fail to use the correct SPF, the sun damage will actually make your scars darker and you will have wasted your money. Even though I had stopped using this product for a few months, I still continued to use the SPF 30 moisturizer every morning and I think this is what helped majorly as well. I just started using it again to finish off the right cheek and other miscellaneous marks that might have been caused by the acne, but there's not many. I actually get compliments on my skin now and today my coworkers asked me what I use on my skin. I felt ecstatic, lol. I will say I was expecting it work like in a month and I was not happy when I realized it would take some time. Results vary from person to person and severity of scars but I would say you need to give this at least three months of CONSISTENT use before coming to any conclusion on it’s effectiveness. I started seeing results around 2 months and now 5 months later my skin in almost perfect again. Also, I wanted to mention that this particular gel really only works for acne scarring or other types of scars. For those of you trying to use this for age spots, freckles or other naturally occurring skin marks, this isn't going to work, sorry. So any negative reviews given because it didn't get rid of the aforementioned, really isn't reliable. All im all, im happy i bought this, it worked for me!

Love this product! I've been using it for about 4 weeks and the acne dark spot is almost completely gone. Usually it takes months for my dark spots to fade & with this product it took less than a month. My skin looks brighter & I've also noticed that the freckles caused by sun are also starting fade.

This product is a must buy! It has been almost two weeks and my acne spots are almost fading. It really has transformed my face. This is my first review but I had to share how effective to product is. The price is not so good but you get what you pay for!

I have found that this product works very well on lightening age spots, and overall brightening of my facial skin. I really like this product thus far. I have extremely sensitive skin, and was wary of this product, but I am so pleasantly pleased! I dont use it every day yet, but hope to get there soon. With such sensitive skin, I have learned to take it slowly. I cannot wait to see how well my face looks once it has adapted to being used daily. Right now I use it every two days, and sometimes back to back. I have no post acne spots, but age spots, and it works very well. The first time I used it my biggest age spot lightened by 50%!! I have yet to find an age spot corrector that works as well as this one, and have used Laura Mercier 2 step bottles, and Peter Thomas Roth hydrating acid, and this works far better! (farr less expensive as well!!)

I got a sample of this at Sephora a couple months ago. The lady told me that it would take a month or so to see results so she gave me enough for a month. However, once I was out I had to purchase the full size. This has made such a difference in the appearance of my skin. When I take of my makeup, I don't see all the dark spots and little red marks every where. Now realize this won't happen overnight. It takes a little bit of time but it's completely worth it. I feel more confident without foundation on and that's all I could ask for. Good job, Murad!

I had really high hopes with this!! I started getting acne in my 30s and I had really hoped it would help... it hasn't done a thing over a month. I'll keep going but the other reviews said they saw a difference immediately....definately doesn't do anything at all.

Quick Take: takes about a week but well worth it!
I've been getting acne scars and it really does suck since I'm light skinned! After trying so many products to get rid of acne scars, I've decided to spend a good $60 to see what DR. MURAD can bring. To my surpise, in a week, my skin started lookin brighter and much more clear. I've received plenty compliments from co workers as well! Although I didn't notice the change because I guess my expectations were high for the money I've spent, others have noticed the change! A little goes a long way too! I haven't even used half of the bottle yet and this product continues to do it's job well!
