Love the color revive
-06.21.12
Quick Take: long wearing
When you put on the color REVIVE it's actually a very deep reddish color. It has a long lasting effect. I put two layers of it on this morning and it was still on until after lunch time. Also, if you order it online you get a dry vitamin juice mix which is cool too.

not what I hoped for
-06.13.12
Color was not a flattering shade, the description said it was flattering to most complexions, however I found it to be more of a fuschia/neon pink! Only applied once, but it was not as moisturizing as I had hoped, I returned this lipstick.

I love the color of this and how smooth it is. The packaging is horrible though, the lipstick was pushed into the lid when i got it and the packaging broke after i opened it.

Not a deal if I won't use it!
-01.07.12
I'd seen this on sale for so long, I finally thought, Why not? The color seemed to be the color I usually wear - a dusty rose. Wrong! It's way pink! Like a weird dark reddish pink.
Plus, the tube was broken and the lipstick had been pressed against the top inside of the tube.
I am usually so happy with my Sephora purchases it bums me out when one goes wrong.

Quick Take: moisturizing, long wearing
I don't like fussy steps to looking good, and this is my godsent answer. It moisturizes and tints my (brown-skinned) lips perfectly so I don't have to worry about texture or intensity. It gives me a lovely brown-rose, perfectly natural, perfectly pink. Love.

Great lipstick
-11.01.11
Quick Take: creamy
The gloss core in this lipstick makes a pre-application balm unnecessary (usually a must for me). The color is not bold, but it's perfect for reapplying without a mirror and lends a pretty pink shade.

Love the concept more than the execution...
-10.15.11
Loved this idea (vitamin balmy-core and color!!), but it is a bit too matte to use out at night. It's a good everyday lipstick to wear, but I prefer something a little more dramatic and glossier for nights.

This is a fantastic, moisturizing lipstick in a very flattering color- but it needs lip liner and doesn't have a lot of staying power,

Don't let this one scare you away from Tarte lips!
-09.22.11
Quick Take: moisturizing, creamy, rejuvenating, natural
I fell in love with Tarte lipsticks a while back and this formulation is just as wonderful, although the "vitamin core" does make the color apply lighter than the same color in another formulation. Smooth application leaves lips feeling amazing... BUT BEWARE THE PACKAGING ON THIS ONE!
Keep it for the benefit of the product alone....the packaging is flimsy and I wouldn't dare keep it in my purse. Half of the time I can't even get the one tube I have to twist the product up for application! I mostly apply while still at home, sometimes with a lip brush. As good as any lip repair balm I've used. At $8 it's a good deal but not at full price.

I really like the smooth texture of this lipstick but you must be careful when opening it. The "green" packaging is cheap & flimsy. Full price = no purchase; sale price = a winning deal!

The color changes after an hour of wear. The lipstick broke at the bas after two uses. Great price but I've found better at the drugstore.

Not what I expected
-06.22.11
Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing
I expected a bright red from the picture, but I got a lighter, berry-pink color. It is moisturizing and probably good for my lips, but not high pigment.

It's OK
-06.21.11
Quick Take: moisturizing, long wearing
I bought this lipstick mainly because of the excellent price. When I first opened the lipstick, the lipstick flew out of the package and I lost half the lipstick due to it falling on the floor and crushing. However, the color is nice and it is really moisturizing. But you need to be careful opening it and for that reason I would not spend $22 on it.

Disappointing
-06.20.11
Quick Take: long wearing
I was not impressed with anything about this lipstick. I bought it because it was only $8, so I'm glad I didn't waste much money, but it really fell short of its description. I bought this in sweet dreams, which appeared to be a light brownish-pink. On me, however, it's a horrid shade of bright pink unless I apply it very lightly. It also doesn't coat lips evenly and even though it's a bit more moisturizing than most lipsticks, I still feel dry after 30 minutes or so. It does last for quite some time, but I think that is only because the product settles into the creases of my lips.
As others have noted, the packaging is terrible. The lipstick isn't well-connected to the base, so every time I use it, it wiggles around. When it's in my purse the point rubs against the cap, leaving an indentation. I suppose that if I continue using it, the vitamins and antioxidants might improve the look of my lips, but I'm not sure that I want to use it every day.

Aweful
-06.17.11
The cheapest packaging ever... when i opened it, the very tip of the lipstick had smudged into the cap.. the lipstick wobbles as you apply it.. and the color pay off is HORRIBLE, hardly any pigmentation. This is just a lip balm

Nice color, but needs better packaging.
-06.17.11
Quick Take: moisturizing, cheap packaging, sheer
Pros: I got this in Zen (pink-brown) and was unpleasantly surprised when I opened it because the color is very dark in the tube. The vitamin core lightens it though when applied. I've got medium-light skin and naturally darkish lips, so Zen provided a nice color boost. A slightly pinker "my lips but better" effect. Color lasts about 1-2 hours depending on if I'm drinking something and after it fades my lips feel softer.
Cons: This lipstick is fairly matte, so I need to layer gloss over it (just a personal preference, though). It also feels thick/waxy, instead of smooth after about 30 minutes. Packaging is pretty cheap--I need to hold the silver part in place to prevent the lipstick from sinking back in while applying it. The stick also smushes against the top of the cap, even when fully spun down. Glad I only paid $8 for this.

Horrid Lipstick

Color does not match. Lipstick does not stay on or color your lips. Broke after 1st use. Hate it.
