Quick Take: soothing, scented, smooth, rich, nongreasy, luxurious
This shaving cream is like nothing else on the market. My husband has a dark beard and after shaving with this product his skin is as smooth as a baby's behind. He does not have any discoloration or redness and when he gets home in the evening he still looks clean shaven. The smell is wonderful too. The after shave balm is not greasy like others on the market. My husband used to hate to shave but he sort of enjoys it now after using these products. It is worth the money and a little goes a long way.

My husband received a gift of Acqua di Palma Colonia Collezione Barbiere Shaving Cream from the Collezione Barbiere Shaving Collection. This is a wonderfully citrus smelling shaving cream, which is luxurious and allows him to get a very nice smooth shave. He has heavy beard growth and has issues with four o'clock shadow, so it's nice that this helps him to get a closer shave than some other brands. Had this not been a gift, he would not have tried this (he's used the Colonia products previously) because it's too expensive for everyday use. It's a great shaving cream, and leaves his skin soft and moisturized, but it's financially out of range for everyday use. If it were half the price, or on sale, he could justify the cost, but not for everyday, so this has become a special occasion product. This would have gotten ten stars, if not for the price. Otherwise, it's excellent.

Bought this for my homie a couple of Christmases ago, and he was immediately hooked. In my imagination, old Hollywood does smell something like this. A very tiny bit goes a long way too, with the addition of a shave brush (which lends to the sophisticated nature of the product... hehe). The packaging is luxe and heavy too, in thick smoky glass. My boo suggested that you get the best results by using a very, very small amount and spending the time to work it into a nice lather. Softest shave ever, and no ingrown hairs even when he's lazy and shaving with a dull razor for a few weeks. Excellent quality (and they will remind you through your $$$). The scent has kind of a Caswell-Massey vibe, but like Caswell Massey x10. Works out fine since his other favorite was Caswell Massey No. 6 (I believe only because it was supposedly George Washington's cologne).

I bought this for my boyfriend last christmas and now its the only product he'll use. I have to keep refilling throughout the year. Highly recommend gift. A badger brush compliments this set.
