Staple in My Makeup Bag

I have been using Guerlain Kiss Kiss Liplift for a couple of years and it is the best I have found to help with feathering around the lips. I do use lipliner and it seems to hold it in place much better. Always looking for something better, though.

Works Great!!

Quick Take: does what it claims
I bought the older version of this a couple of years ago and when I used every last bit of my old one, I went to the store to get a new one and saw that the color was a little lighter and different I was panicked. I walked out of the store without purchasing it. And seeing that some people had complained about the new formula online made me really hesitant to purchase, but I did go back to my local Sephora store and purchased it and love it. Yes, it may seem a slightest gritty (a bit of an overstatement) at first but it doesn't stay that way, and it is excellent at holding the lipstick. I really can't say enough and its totally worth the price!!

Quick Take: hydrating
It is one of best I've tried, works well I give the staying power a 5 out of 5, but the packaging I give it a 1 out of 5, when you spend $40.00+x you want it go go back down when you put it up :( for some reason it just wont go back down the tester worked

Not worth the price
-01.04.13
I was so excited when I ordered this product and was greatly disappointed. It does keep your lipstick in place, but it is very sticky and does not apply easily. I was hoping it filled in the lines on my lips as promised, but found that it was simply cakey and non-moisturizing. I wish it had delivered, but i certainly will not buy it again.

I tried this based on the reviews online and found it to be a little sticky. It wasn't bad just wasn't for me.

Best lip color primer!

Quick Take: guerlain kiss kiss liplift
I have tried just about every lip primer, but Guerlain Kiss Kiss is the best. Very pricey, but I have no feathering around lips.

I used this product before, and then switched to Urban decay lip primer. Kiss kiss is more moisturizing.

Not as moisturizing as it claims
-11.27.12
Quick Take: expensive
While my lipstick stayed put, after using Liplift I felt like my lips were better off without it - so dry and strangely gummy! However, I have extremely dry lips and do not need a priming function as much as a moisturizing one, so perhaps people who are more worried about edge feathering, etc. will benefit.

Does not work
-11.20.12
Quick Take: scented, thick and pasty feeling on the lips
Unfortunately, this product did not deliver on what it is supposed to do. It does not plump the lips nor does it fill in the lines in your lips. I was very disappointed and it is not worth the price. I will have to keep looking for another plumping product. Not worth the money.

Another disappointment!

Thought this one might do what it claims becasue of the brand - wrong. Smooth and creamy lip treat but that's about it - not even a good primer.

Exactly what I needed! I am a lipgloss junkie and needed a smooth, semi-muted lip to give my lip glosses a place to show off their color! my lips are extrememly pigmented, which I like, but when applying lipgloss and lipstick it doesnt allow for their true color to show through. this product is the perfect canvas, Kiss Kiss Liplift rocks!

IT WORKS!
-10.20.12
Quick Take: does what it is supposed to do
Have tried everything to keep lipstick on and in place without creeping into lines. This was a recommendation from reading reviews on this site. Hesitantly tried it but know that Guerlain is superior to other products. Very pleased to let any of you reading this with my same issues with lipstick...it really works. Keeps lipstick in place. I also use MakeUpForEver lipliner in clear. Just purchased my second tube.

Great product/no negative issues
-10.10.12
Quick Take: hydrating
This I feel the same about the ombre eclat eye shadow primer, in terms of the complainte people have. I always to my lips last because they have to have several different layers. First, before you even put your moisturizer on, use a very sheer, non-goopy lip balm. I use Effol Lipbalm, Sun Protective Factor 20. I use very little. after I've gotten to the step where I've done my foundation, then I add the Guerlain Liplift not by sweepin, but rather by dabbing it back and forth on my lips. I do not put it in the corners. I don't put anything but the lipbalm in the corners because you can get those little stringy things in your mouth and in betweent top and bottom lip. Once I've dabbed it on, then I put my lips together and let them do the smoothing, like when you want to transfer lipstick. You need to let this procduct dry and it's how I finish my makeup. Once I'm done with EVERYTHING else. But before applying the lipstick, I use my pencil, and instead of outlining the lip, I outline and then gently color in the entire lip. You can use this to rb your lips together to smooth and tranfer as well. I wait about one minute, add my lipstick, which I used to do with a brush and now I just use the stick itself, and not rub them together to transfer. But if you feel like you've got the little stringys in the corners of your lips, take a paper towel like youa re going to blot but only get the corners. Do not blot the whole lip. I never use a gloss over my lipstick and I wait at least thiryt minutes before eating or drinking anything to make sure theat my lipstick has settled. If you allpy gloos over your lipstick, that's fine for a photoshoot where you can fix and fix and fix it again, but if you do it over lipstick, it moistens the lipstick so it just rubs off on everything. This is an excellent product and does 100% what it claims if you ahve the patience to use it correctly. If you do things in a certain order, thre is no wait time while you are putting your make-up on, you just do the lips in steps in between doing everything else. lstly, it gives a nice, colorless base for your lipstick, so it actually looks exactly like the color it is supposed to look like.
