Quick Take: travel size
My mom bought this for me and i was very excited as this was my first brush set. I have had this for over 2 years and have found myself only using the eyeliner brush and shader brush on rare occations. The smudge brush is too dense and unprecise and the other two are just alright. All of these brushes seem to be very sratchy and may be irritating to sensitive eyes. I would recomend purchasing a different brush set that you will actually get good use out of rather than one you will seldom use. For me this product was okay.

Quick Take: good value
With all my eye brushes starting to fall apart from years of use I decided to give this mix a try. It is a good assortment, covers most of your bases. My only complaint is that the liner brush sucks. It is too thin and flimsy, especially for a smokey dramatic look. So I'm not really sure what the thought was there. Something a bit fuller, preferably angled would have been more useful. But over all a good set for the money.

This has almost everything I like to use for a smoky eye at a great value. My favorite brush is the smudge brush, but I like all of them. The kit is great for travel. I use it for all kinds of eye looks, not just smoky.

WOW. I've been looking into buying Sephora's brushes for a long time now, and found this set. If you love smoky eyes (or any type of eye makeup for that matter) this is the way to go. Good quality brushes and portable as well. The mascara is good as well but not my personal favorite. Sephora makes great brushes and if you need any, this is for you! Anyone looking for a sexy smoky eye needs this!

I already had face brushes so this was the perfect brush set for eyes only. It also comes with a nice mascara but I substituted my regular mascara in the kit. The brushes are really nice and the brush set folds up like a wallet with an invisible magnetic closure so it is super convenient to carry in my purse and also looks attractive.

I used to where make up a lot and I recently started picking it back up and realized that some of my old supplies needed some updating. I purchased these brushes because when I went in to your store with my sister in law I realized how out of date my applicators where! Lol I decided to purchase these brushes and been really enjoying how easy the brushes allow for the eye shadow to blend! I will never go back to my old eye shadow sponge applicators! The mascara in the set really makes my eye lashes stand out but makes them a little stiffer than I like other than that I do like this set and would recommend it to anyone that I didn’t know was not using them before.

Great first brush set for anyone.

Quick Take: full set, good value, easy to clean
This was the first eyeshadow brush set I have ever owned. I received it on xmas of '06 (I was 16 and now I'm 21) and it is still in good shape after 5 years!! The step-by-step instructions for the smokey eye are great for kids (or adults!) who are just starting out with more complex eye makeup and are ready to get rid of those cheap spongy applicators from the drug store. The liner brush is fantastic and is still in great shape and the smudger brush is excellent, especially in the crease and outer corner. The bag it comes in is super shiny and the magnet REALLY helps keep your brushes secure. This brush set helped my learn some great smokey eyes but if you want to start doing more intricate make I would reccomend purchasing a more professional brush set or buying individual high-grade brushes.

Bought this for my mom for watching my son. She loves it. If you need a set of brushes for the eyes, this is a nice set and it's great to have it all in one spot in a nice little case. I kind of want one for myself now!

These brushes are great. They blend colors well, and they don't leave hairs behind. The case keeps them compact, so I can put them in my travel bag and not have to worry about them taking up too much space. The mascara is great, It builds and separates lashes.

I already had brushes for my eye but i wanted extra and now i only use these ones. The bristel are soft and picks up pigment And blends it all very well. The eye llner brush is excelent to apply eyeliner the britels are sturdy. And the mascara is light but its shows veru good. Plus the bag is nice too.

I purchased this set as a Christmas present for my niece and while on vacation recently, asked her to try it on me. Wow! It is amazing the results one can get from using the right tools! My eyes had the perfect amount of shadow and did not look like raccoon eyes! I had to purchase another one for myself and now my twin sister wants a set, too! One thing though, I wish the set had a smudging tool (like a little cushion pad that can be found at the end of a Dior pencil).

HELPS CREATE SMOKEY EYES WITH EASE

Quick Take: full set, makes a great gift
I've had my set of The Smokey Eye Brush Set for about a year and a half. It helps me to create the perfect smokey eye. I found this set of brushes made a difference in the look I was able to create. With experience, I got much better at creating the look with different brushes, but this set was perfect for a specific purpose. There are five brushes, mascara, and instructions, packed in a nice carrying case. The brushes have performed admirably, which is why I'm giving a set to a friend's daughter, who is just starting to use makeup all the time. Of course, the brushes can be used to create other looks, as well. They're all excellent quality. The smokey and smudged eye looks are always in style so having a brush set specifically made for these styles is not a bad idea. I've been happy with my set for quite some time, and have experienced no bristle loss. I've had a lot of experience with brushes but found this set extremely helpful to me which is why I think it will make a great gift to someone who has few brushes.

Quick Take: good value, not a waste
This brush set is wonderful for beginners. If your more a expert i would not recommend. My reason for this is because if you are a beginner in cosmetology you wont exactly know what kinds of brushes to use for different purposes. and it comes with a walk-through or a "instruction panel". I do not recommend this for pros because if your a pro your gonna want a bigger variety of brushes. The brushes in this set were wonderful they are soft except for they were to big for my eye. (so not sephora's fault) The mascara in this set is suprisingly ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I had low hopes for it but it gave me full extended unclumpy lashes. absolutely wonderful.

I have had this for a few weeks and I really like it! I had stopped wearing make-up for a few years and have just started again recently; this set has all the brushes I need for eye make-up and I use it every time I put any on - even if I am just smudging a bit of shadow over liner. (LOVE the smudge brush!)

Quick Take: good value
This is a nice set of brushes, but didn't include what I would've loved to see. For example, I needed a smudger for my eyes and I think that should've been included. The mascara that comes with the kit is pretty decent, but not the best in the world, but definitely OK - especially with two coats!
