The BEST primer out there!- 11.20.09
Quick Take: lightweight, fast-absorbing
Kind of expensive, but you hardly need any per use, so this will last a looong time. I have super oily skin, and I have tried MANY products like this, and honestly, this is the only one that really does a great job mattifying your skin before you put on any makeup or powder. There's no caking of your makeup or powder after you apply this, either, which is a huge problem with a lot of the other products like this on the market. Not to mention, this one lasts the longest -- I don't have to touch up an oily T-zone for at least 4 hours.

I like to use this on my sponge before putting on foundation because I feel like my foundation goes on a lot smoother and looks less dry when I use this primer. I really think it does its job!

I had heard how fabulous Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer was, but I didn't believe it, until I tried it, and now I am a loyal fan to this product. It is by far my most beloved make up product. Why? Oh my! Let me list the reason:
1. It feels like you have put on a layer of silk over your skin. It is so soft to the touch and it feels lovely.
2. I have sensitive skin, and no reaction, no redness, no breakout, just smooth, silky glorious skin.
3. I had put away a powered foundation compact, as it always looked caked on in dry spots on my face, and the touch ups were constant. NOW, no caked on looking make up and no touch ups required.
4. Did I tell you that my skin actually looks airbrushed in the flesh now. I don't know what this product does exactly, but my skin looks flawless.
5. The only reason why any one would assume I have make up is because any one who knows me have never seen my skin look so supple and smooth.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light is my Messiah in the land of make-up. I don't know how I managed life before without it. Worth every cent and this product should get six stars, not just five.

Sorry, but I returned this product, because it makes my skin very dry, but I think I choose wrong product as for my 35-44 ages, I don't have to oily skin type any more and I have to jump to product for more dry type.

I really loved this as a sample but then bought the full size and by wearing it more often realize it lasts only a short while and makes my skin pretty shiny after a few hours...doesn't even out or prevent shine like it says

Pump Keeps Breaking- 11.12.09
Great product but the pump breaks after a few days. I returned it several times with the same issue. The sales associate told me that there is design flaw that Smashbox has been aware for a couple of years. She said that it's returned more often than not, and she thinks the only reason others don't return it is because they can't be bothered.
She told me that she would tell the Smashbox sales rep, but not to "hold my breath", because they are very well aware of the problems.
It's a great product, but I will never buy Smashbox again- it seems that they are quite lax with their QA.
I don't like to wear foundation, concealer, or anything too heavy on my face, but I love this primer. It goes on so light, it doesn't even feel like you have anything on your face. I have acne scars on my cheeks and I didn't like to wear blush because it would make my scars more noticeable. But, this primer really helps smooth out my skin, and my make-up to last. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it's not that oil-absorbing.

I love this primer. It's light and minimizes my shine, and it has never caused me to break out, even with my oily acne-prone skin. I use it under Bare Minerals foundation and I love how the duo look together. I stock up on this stuff because I often find it's out of stock. I never forget to use this primer, because once you find something that definitely works, you don't go without it!

I recently got a sample of this to try. This product goes on beautifully and dries quickly. It helps keep makeup in place and looking matte. It does a really good job but it's still not quite as good as my Boscia skin perfecting primer so I am sticking with my fave for now.

By far my favorite beauty secret. I have rosacea and breakout prone skin and this is gentle enough that I can use it everyday with out a problem. In fact, this product allows me to wear foundations that used to irritate my skin because it acts as a protective layer in between. I love to wear this under laura merier tinted moisturizer for a great natural look. I have treid other primers and this is by FAR the best for my Very sensitive skin- I could not live without it!

While this formula does not have the same feel/texture as the original PhotoFinish, it does provide a great, primed and poreless canvas for liquid foundation. Much lighter, more liquid but all around a great product for oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin like mine. Highly recommend!

I love this product. The first time I ever used this is when my sister-in- law did my make-up for my wedding on October 16, 2009. I have very unen skin tone and I really stopped wearing make-up, because I only could afford the cheap make-up and I never really seen any difference. When I lost my job escpeccially there ws no way I could get anything like this for myself, but after seeing what my face looked like after she used this I told my new husband I really wanted to have this product, so even though we are behind on bills from losing my job and we needed the money that we received as wedding gifts, my husband agreed on the difference and he seen the confidence I had in myself that he told me to buy it if I wanted to. To me to actually have alittle bit of money to invest in a good product make-up was like winning the lottery. Now every day I get up and put make-up on. I feel so much better about myslf and my husband likes it also.

I got this has a sample with a prior Sephora purchase. At first I used it with liquid foundation and it was HORRIBLE. It made the foundation impossible to blend because the foundation rolled up into little balls and just stuck to my face. I then used it with BE mineral make up and it looked flawless. I have been trying to fine a new foundation to replace BE because it was beginning to look dull on my complection, but now that I have found this I again love my BE make up. I'm not really sure how anyone could use it with liquid foundation though.
