Quick Take: top of the line
This liner is the color that you would expect "bare" to be. I 've had many lipliners that are supposed to be bare and end of being darker than my lips. This outlines my lips with just the perfect color and my dry lips love it.

I've been avoiding using concealer/foundation as a primer for my lips for lipcolour to show its true shade. I'm so glad I found this lipliner. I use Bare to line and fill in my lips. Usually I love the look of bare, clean, nude lips, but when I'm going for a dramatic look I just apply a rich shade on top of my lined/filled in lips. This is just gorgeous. Even the associate at the Chanel counter complimented the way it looks on my lips! I highly recommend it.

I received this liner use it once. I bought reveal. It wore good and was a great color. However I could tell the mechanism in the pencil was rickety. I go to use it a second time, turn the mechanism and the pencil got stuck inside and the whole thing came out all smooshed. I MEAN THE WHOLE THING. Not worth it especially for the price!

I love this pencil. Very moist and glides on perfectly. However, I've been to 3 Sephoras in N.Y. City, and I cannot buy the replacement cartridge. I find that very inconvenient and for that reason only, I give it a 3 rating

Hourglass Trace Lip Liner wasn't a holiday gift I was expecting. Bare isn't as bare as I would have wanted. It doesn't apply smoothly and then broke at the tip. Additionally, the liner seems to have a tendency to come loose from its mechanisms, so this isn't for me. I was surprised to see the price, because it's certainly not worth it. This is a disappointing lip pencil.

It is not easy to use at all! You have to keep running it on your lips in order for it show...and when it does, its a slight slight tint. Oh! And when I closed it..the ENTIRE pencil got stuck to the lid and came off! It was just an awful awful experience that was not worth the 30-some dollars. Would not recommend.

I got this for the lip brush, not the liner - - - the liner shade is 'BARE' but on me it's orange, so of no use. The lip brush is nice, full and flexible, but I've not used it long enough to tell how it will hold up.

I was told when I purchased this expensive pencil that refills would be available, so I didn't mind the high price since the packaging was beautiful. The pencil color is lovely (secret) would have purchased again if it wasn't so expensive.

The best that I have tried in a long time. The colour is true and the 'pencil' glides on perfectly---at the end of the day there is not a trace of bleeding no chalky flaking and absolutely blend friendly.

Upside---I love this cool product--lip colour- Secret --I wanted a really natural look -- Secret looks dark but its secret is that it blends into a rich gorgeous sexy lip colour--I have thin lips and use it to go slightly over the edge and you really can't tell --this trick works only with this product--
I was promised by the Sephora consultant that the refills were only available by Sephora online---but here I am and no refills in sight

The liner has a nice texture and it stays on well but I find it totally dries out my lips. The brush is pretty much useless as it is not stiff enough for any precision. They should take out the brush and lower the price.

I got this in Bare and sadly the color is way off. Bare is a dark reddish brown, not at all a light nude. The liner itsself is fine and the container is really nice, its just not worth them crazy amount of money they charge for it. I think it would be great if shephora sold the refills.

This is one of the few lip liners in the red/pink nuance that this Sephora carried. Although I didn't have many choices if I have to buy a lipliner again I would definetely go for the same one. It is just so convenient, it is mechanical so you don't have to ever sharpen it (this you don't loose any of the filling) and it has brush on the other hand. The lip brush itself would cost you between $12-$18.If you are an online shopper and you need to make up your mind, I quarantee you'll love this product
