Quick Take: soft bristles, great beauty investment
I know this brush might seem expensive, but think of it as an investment of your beauty. It is SO soft and just close your eyes and make circular motions on your cheeks. Not only does it blend, it relaxes you and believe it or not, makes you feel and look beautiful while blending your blush.

Quick Take: soft bristles
I use this brush with my Hourglass Cheek Stain. After dotting on the cheek stain, i use this brush to spread the color evenly on my cheeks. It's soft and makes the stain look really natural.

A rep for Hourglass used this brush to apply all the makeup she tried on me, and I immediately fell in love with it. It literally felt like heaven on my face! Soft as can be and amazing to apply primer, foundation and blush. I use this brush daily and when traveling, it's the only face brush I bring along. It;s the most expensive single brush I own; however, it is also by far the best. Definitely worth the investment.

I adore this brush. This is the brush I pretty much do my entire complexion with -- I apply my primer, foundation, powder, blush, and highlighter with this brush. It's luxuriously soft, never sheds, works beautifully with cream, liquids, or powders, cleans effortlessly, and is my best friend. Yes, it's pricey and definitely and investment, but it's not a brush you'll ever regret getting. I spot clean my brush with 70% alcohol daily after using since I'm very acne-prone so I know my brush is clean and once a week will deep clean it. I've had mine for over 2 years without it looking worn at all.

My local salon/spa sells Hourglass products and I was curious about their brushes so I picked up this one and the #2. I now think I need them ALL. This brush manages to make my beloved Burberry beauty brush feel scratchy, and that brush is ultra soft and high quality.
It's dense enough and firm enough to apply product easily without making a mess, but it's so soft it's like a cloud on your skin. No lie, I was playing with it earlier just to feel it on my skin. The handle fits well in my hand and it's comfortable to use. I've only tried it with powder and highlighter so far but I can see myself using this for anything.
Yes, it's expensive, but in this case you really get what you pay for.

Quick Take: versitile, cleans easily, durable
I now have two of these. I use one for application of serums and moisturizers. The other for primer, liquid foundations and sunscreens. I get perfect applications every time.

WORTH.EVERY.PENNY. I was using another brush for powder and it would cake in spots (one of the sephora packs of brushes) it never spread evenly, this THIS... is amazing. It feathers on gently and spreads evenly. But the bullet, get this brush - it will last you and replace all other face/blush brushes.

Yes, I know what you are thinking: It is EXPENSIVE.
But it's also WORTH IT.
But it's also WORTH IT.
Calling this a "finishing" or "powder" brush is really underselling its strengths. This brush has streamlined my morning routine because it replaces so many other brushes. I use it for my liquid foundation, with contouring cream, bronzer, blush, and powder.... all in a row. It's like nothing sticks to this thing. Then I buff it all to a natural, airbrushed finish.
I previously tried the Sephora Pro #56 Airbrush Foundation brush... and there isn't even a comparison. Get the Hourglass one.
This kabuki is smaller and feels a little lighter than I expected, but now I think it's the perfect size. Big enough to buff, small enough to have control. Its bristles are heavenly soft... and wipe clean easily. After using synthetic brushes like this, I won't be going back to natural. It feels well-made, and I can tell I'll have it for years to come. Really makes my foundation go a lot further. (And I'll take whatever helps me stomach the cost!)
After getting this bad boy, I intend to purchase more Hourglass brushes in the future!

Tis is a perfect brush, big enough for perfect coverage without the length that can make it hard to pack in a small makeup bag. The bristles are soft, but packed tightly enough to maintain their shape to pick up you fav powder foundation.

I love this brush. I got the #2 brush first and just loved it so I got this Finishing brush. I use the #2 brush now for the Veil Mineral Primer and blushes and I use the Finishing Brush to apply by Veil Fluid Makeup. I get an air brush finish without an air brush. I wish the carried more of the Hourglass brushes. I plan on ordering more form Hourglass.

It's obvious that the Hourglass Finishing Brush was an expensive gift. It's an excellent brush. It's well made, and feels really comfortable in the hand. It's a full brush, well packed with soft synthetic bristles. It's probably once of the nicest brushes I'll have, because I don't spend this much money on a single brush. The nice thing about this brush is that it feels good when it's brushed over the face. It does a great job applying any powder. As always, all brushes should be shampooed frequently. I clean my brushes each time I use them. I have not seen a single bristle lost. This is an awesome brush and made a wonderful and unexpected luxurious gift.

For an airbrushed finish

I use this #7 Hourglass brush for foundation. For an airbrushed look, I dab foundation on the back of my hand, pick it up with the brush, then apply to face and buff to a flawless finish. For everday, I usually just dab a dot of foundation under each eye, on my nose, forehead and chin, blend with fingers, then go over with this brush, blending outwards from the center of the face for a more natural look. This is a very high quality brush, hasn't shed a bristle in 6 months. I expect it to last a long time and highly recommend it to others.

Creates an Airbrushed Look

I used this brush with the Hourglass primer and Hourglass liquid foundation and it gave me a really nice airbrushed look. My only complaint was the size was larger so it soaked up a lot of foundation. I exchaged it for the foundation sized Hourglass brush and got the same look without it soaking up as much product. Highly recommend the Hourglass brushes!
