at first it seemed to work for me: zits were disappearing fast, but now I have too many hardened pimples that sitting deep under the skin not coming out and not going away either - not sure what it is. Certainly never had it before

Quick Take: too good to be truth
if it sounds too good to be truth....mostl likely is not good! It does not do anything of what it promises! I used it severeal times and I did not see improvemetns or any healing process.

My product of the year, AMAZING!!- 12.27.09
Quick Take: life saving
Ive accepted that zits are just a part of my life. But it got to be too embarrassing walking into a business meeting with zits, so I got this out of desperation, and did not expect ANYTHING. That being said: I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.
It really does get rid of a pimple in less than a day. I zap a zit in the morning and at night, and the next morning its barely noticeable. Normally it will take a full week for a pimple to cycle through, but this take ONE DAY, and a total of 4 seconds a day to fix. I can't describe the relief I get from it, knowing I have some control over my face.
As stated in other comments, there is one con- the battery life is just a bit low- but this is why I gave it a 5 star review. The initial batteries lasted me about 3 weeks, and the lower the batteries got the more it stung on my face when "zapping". However, I went out and bought the lithium -ion batteries and they last much much longer. In addition to that batteries are the only thing you need to replace on this product. No replacement heads (clarisonic!), and parts to buy, no chargers to mess with. So the price of the occasional battery is fine by me, and totally worth it.

Works but will burn on high & hurts!!- 12.23.09
Quick Take: good
This does seem to work on my blemishes but I decided to try the high setting for a blemish on my shoulder. Man, not only did it hurt enough to make me yell but it also burned my skin & left a scar!!! Thank goodness I didn't use it on my face on high! I will keep it because I can use it on low.

i was really excited when the price of this dropped during the sale and bought it right away - i was even really excited the first time i used it as it seemed to take care of the pimple that happened to start emerging so i wasted no time trying it out. it dried out the pimple and definitely set it in its place! it left a little dry spot with some skin flaking, but in exchange for no pimple coming out - i was quite ecstatic.
however. This thing is either a battery drainer or was severely defective as i was only able to use it the one day (5-10 charges?) and it didn't work again after that. it gave me the 4 beep signal that my batteries were useless and had to change them out. maybe i should have removed the batteries?! i tried 2 new sets of batteries that i knew worked for other things - but they both didn't work for this and i still got the 4 beep signal. i did not go out to buy the same super-quality duracells that this came with to test it out but seeing that it only lasts one night there's really no point. that's probably just as expensive if not more so than the zeno tips.
ironically i put it in the box last night to return and shipped it out this morning. it seemed to work but unfortunately it didn't seem like it was quality. i guess i will stick to dabbing on a little of my clay mask overnight to keep pimples from popping out in the morning.

Quick Take: effective, helpful
This device really works, don't except a miracle tool though. After reading al the reviews, I wasn't sure if it was going to work on my skin, but it really does what it says. It helps shrink the acne, or at least bring the whitehead to the surface so the pore's unclogged. Stins a little, but not a big deal. Read the instructions, don't use it on skin that's healing!

Don't buy- 12.01.09
I can't comment on this product, however the company that makes this item filed for Chapter 7 in August. I was thinking of buying it, so asked Sephora for an update on the maker. But they simply said to call them. I don't want to buy a product that you will get no warranty from. The chapter 7 was reported in numerous business journals.
So before I plunk down money to buy this, I need to know what is going on.

Helps with my zits- 12.01.09
Quick Take: effective, helpful, quick, easy to use
I don't have all over break-outs, but when I get a zit it is awful and usually lasts for weeks. I bought this because at the store the sales girl told me it was really good for that. She was right. I felt a zit coming on, so I zapped it once in the morning and once at night, and the zit never fully developed. It disappeared in just 3 days! During that time it stayed very minor. Also left no scarring, which my zits usually do. The zap hurts a little at first but if you've every waxed/ tweezed your eyebrows, you can tolerate it.

this is not going to help people with really bad acne. i have very mild acne -and it is perfect for those pimples that i can just barely feel forming. i use it two times and it is gone by the next morning. if the pimple has already formed, it speeds up the healing process. it has been a lifesaver. thank you thermaclear. my only gripe is that i bought it at fullprice. :(

Not 100% a miracle but VERY effective!- 11.26.09
Quick Take: effective, little bit painful, takes time but works
i bought this for my bf last year because he had pretty intense acne. it didn't seem to work right away but in a few weeks, there was definitely a decrease in pimples. not only that, it did seem to help reduce some of the scarring. not 100% but with the help of a few products (like persa-gel from clean & clear), his skin is almost CLEAR and all of his scars are fading.
i don't have acne but i do get the occasional pimple and sometimes when i use it, the pimple goes away within 2 days and sometimes it doesn't, meaning it works the best on certain types of pimples. it also works amazing on pimples that are about to form.
it DOES hurt but not so much that you can't use it on your face. it does take some time getting used to but its definitely worth it.
since its half price now, i definitely recommend getting it. just give your skin some time to get used to it. since my bf's skin was clearing up, he got lazy and didn't do it for a few days and guess what - a lot of pimples suddenly formed! so definitely try this product out. =)

It works well. Best on the acne that's just beginning to form. Sometimes they won't even form, and dissolve. Sometimes they will still form, but a lot faster, and heal faster. Bottom line: less time spent with acne on your face. Delightful.

Worth it- 11.20.09
I am pretty happy with this device. It does hurt a little but it's quick so it's not tha big of a deal. I think the key is to find the pimples when they are just little bumps under the skin and then zap them 3 times a day. I have had pretty good luck with this tool.

So Disapppointed- 10.29.09
I was really excited to get this product and begin using it, convinced that this was going to be just the thing that would finally clear up my acne. However, I saw absolutely no improvement in my skin. In fact, I actually think that the blemishes were slower to heal and were more difficult to conceal than before treatment. I am sending this product back.

Quick Take: awesome!
let me just start, if you don't have at least a moderate to high tolerance of pain, this may not be the product for you because it hurts! (for a fraction of a second only).. besides that, i think the pain and expense is worth the results. i use it everyday, even during period and it works on everything from small to large. i even used it on big ones and white ones and popped ones (which it advises you not to) and it works within a day, at most 5 days for the bad ones. use it right when you feel a pimple coming and you'll never see it.

Quick Take: fast, easy to use, gets rid of pimples, recommended
I used to use the Zeno device, which worked, but I rarely used it because it took so long to use! Thermaclear is so fast and seems to work even better! I have fair, sensitive skin that gets red easily, but I have little to no red marks after using this. Also I don't have to replace the head! yay!

had to return item as it did not work for me. it did bring some pimples to the surface but did not rid of them the way i wanted. i mean who wants pimples on the surface anyway? the device may have raised them earlier than anticipated but in the end i still ended up with a blemish and a post acne mark that takes forever to leave. two stars since it did not hurt and the cost was good .

not a miracle worker- 10.15.09
i bought this about 3 months ago, and used it for a bit over a month religiously, it seemed to help a little, but not much. i then stopped for a few days to see if it would get worse and it didn't. i'm still using it every day right now, but i'm still getting acne in the same areas..i'll probably return it soon to see if there's anything that works better.
