Quick Take: sheer coverage
I don't really know how, but the compact broke after I had it for a week or two. I didn't think I was unusually rough on it, so that's kind of annoying, I have to hold it together with a rubber band. However, it's good enough that I still use it, much as the compact annoys me. It's pretty light coverage, as it says in the description, but perfect for me, I have some acne so I hate putting heavy stuff on my face. It's perfect for balancing the tone of my skin.
I didn't like this product. I bought the warm golden beige in the summer and it matched my skin perfectly. But, I had a tan.When my tan wore off, my face looked orange! But Then I started using a foundation brush instead of the included sponge, and.. VOILA! i was beautiful. I love this product! (:

I always use the matifying compact powder from sephora. I´m happy with the results, looks very natural. I recommend it! it´s also the best price.
I was looking for a matte powder that really works without being too heavy. I'm on my second compact and I plan to continue purchasing this product. I have acne prone, oily skin (age 45) and so far it is the best product I can use. I still have to reapply throughout the day but not as often. I cannot use mineral makeup as it makes me break out.

Most powders are so heavy, you can almost feel the layer of make up you are wearing, I was amazed and so happy with this powder. I never tried Sephora brand before, was I missing out!
Goes on smooth, you can't tell its there because its so light, yet it provides beyond perfect coverage

Well at the beginning when I first started using this, it was a good product until later on as I kept using it, it started creating acne and blocking my pores. I ended up returning it.

I'm a black woman. I'm not really a make-up wearer, but decided to try. I use philosophy skin products and wanted to "kick it up a notch". I love this powder. I use warm mocha, it goes on smooth and even. It matches my skin tone exactly and covers the little imperfections perfectly. I do have to reapply during the day, but that's fine. I do wish that it would keep the shine away a little longer.

Quick Take: sheer coverage
I have used this product for about a year now. It goes on easily and can be applied with a makeup sponge for moderate coverage or with a powder brush for more sheer coverage.
I like the finish and that I was able to find a good shade for my skin which is sometimes a challenge. But I have to agree with other reviewers who've said that shine comes through a lot sooner than I'd like. I have combination skin and my chin and nose are shiny within 2 hours of when I apply this.
I think I would absolutely love this product if I had more balanced skin because I love everything else about it.

So I really like this powder. It gives a good smooth even finish. It does exactly what the description says but I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it lasted a little longer. I have combination/normal skin and notice shine quicker than I'd like to wearing powder.

This is like putting absolutely nothing on your skin. Reduce shine? - no. The shade/color? - nothing. I've never returned anything to Sephora but I'm going to see about returning this.

It's okay. I'm not blown away, not entirely un-impressed. It's done its job as far as a basic powder goes, but doesn't really give that stellar of coverage. I bought it as a traveler, because I usually use loose powder. I won't be buying another one, but I'll keep it around as a purse powder.

I'm a little disappointed with this. I got it because my foundation has a shine and needs a powder. Since it says shine-reducing in the description I bought it. It does take a little bit of the shine away but not enough.
