This is a great powder i love the color though it might seem orange its not. I put this on before i went to school and by the time i got home (about 8 hours) i had a matte look not oil its great!

For me to buy a beauty product for the second time is a miracle! I am a former cosmetologist and have a ton of beauty products, but I really like the way that the mineral finishing powder blends with my foundation to give a nice flawless look.

I love this powder and I've gone through quite a few. I wear it over my tinted moisturizer or with the LM mineral powder. Sets it but isn't too much. Absorbs oil to make my skin smooth and healthy in the summer. I have normal to oily skin.

I don't like the over made up look so I put this on over my sunscreen (basically, I use it as a faux-foundation). It works well for my needs: reduce shine without looking too powdery, does not look clumpy after a few hours, does not have talc, does not make my skin lighter/ghostly or looking like I am an orange 'oompa-loompa'.

Best loose powder for shine control- 07.20.09

I've tried various types of loose setting powders, and none of them stands up to 95 degrees with 50% humidity as well as this brand. I dust it on in the morning, and I don't even have to touch-up mid-day with pressed powder: it's that good at controlling oil and shine! It has a wonderful texture, provides flawless coverage, and isn't chalky.

This is the 1st poweder that I use which really claims what it does - abosrbs oil,keep shine at bay. The only problem ---it's so fine that it settles into my pores, creating a "pokka dot" look on my nose! How do I resolve this problem?

This product has been nothing short of a godsend for my extremely oily skin. I apply it with a velour puff after my Laura Mercier mineral foundation and my makeup stays put for hours. Before I found this powder, I used to have to blot once an hour. Now I can go four or five hours without reapplying.

Nice, lightweight finishing powder that does not go on cakey. I use it with the velour pad and dab it on as directed. I am in a hot climate where my makeup doesn't hold up well. This helps to keep it set a little longer and gives my skin a nice soft feel.

So far, I like it but don't necessaryly love it. It does give a nice finish but is very sheer and light. Can't tell if it helps with shine, if it does, it is only a bit which is not enough for a very oily person like me. Overall it is ok.

I am a ethnic mixture of Black and Filipino and for anyone of color it can be hard finding the right product. Especially for a 'translucent' powder. Worst case scenario is an ashy gray result.
This is the first mineral product I have tried and it has become a staple in my bag of goods because ....
1) The consistency of the powder is light and does not clog my acne prone skin.
2) It sets my makeup well and provides a clean palette for the rest of my makeup
However, I would strongly suggest that you moisturize well prior to foundation application - give your foundation time to dry, and then apply the powder.
It does absorbs oil, but if you have oily skin like I do - it's just oily do matter what. The only thing you can do about it is blotting or retouching.

I just love it! I am huge fan of mineral makeup (my skin is very sensitive) and I started using Laura Mercier a year ago... I am addicted to it since then! The finishing powder gives a nice mat finish and because it is slightly tinted, it gives me a nice bronzy complexion.
