Quick Take: great finishing coverage
I've tried about 3-4 different types of setting powders/sprays and I've got to say this one has been the most efficient. I always wander off to try a different one just to see if there's a better one out there but I always end up returning to this one because its a guarantee that I will get a good finish on my makeup. No oiliness and no clumpiness.

I was so excited to order this but it was HUGE waste of money. I got this before my wedding because I thought it would add a nice, shimmery glow to my face. It's like putting baby powder on your face. There's absolutely NO shimmer or brightening factor. It just makes your face look weird and your skin very dry. I have normal-oily skin so I can't imagine how it would make someone with dry skin look. I love all other Laura Mercier products but this is terrible.

This one is not my fav. I was looking for a loose setting powder, the translucent was horrible the mineral is OK, but I have to stick to my fav by Lancome...the setting powder. This one appears more chalky or powdery, giving it that look like you ARE wearing powder. I like the "real" sheer powder that provides that finishing touch. I will keep it anyway as a second go to maybe it will appear diff in the summer, but deff not my every day fav.
Maybe the compact offers a different type of coverage.

I have dry skin and originaly purchased the reg LM loose setting powder that dried out my skin even more. SA advised to try the mineral and it has worked great. No flaky looking skin or patches that are completely incalled for w make up. My only concern is how well this will work in the summer w a tan and darker foundation since the color does look light eventhough said to be sheer and tends to lighten skin from its original color. Works great for now,,if needed will switch to color mineral powder for summer.

I'm super exigent with face powders; This is the best i've tried, I tried it as a replacement of the mineral veil from BE which I have found was not the same any more (looking dry and making pores appear bigger). This totally erases my pores, evens out my skin tone and helps me to stay fresh and shine free almost the whole day. If I go out in the afternoon, I just swipe a little bit again. I use it over korres mineral foundation. You don't need that much, you can only apply it on your problem areas, if you find it very light (which it is) you can use bronzer over it. Best of all, It's mineral! better for skin that other kind of formulas, i've been using it for over a month and my skin is clear and calm.

I used this over different foundations (Guerlain, Chantecaille etc.) just to see with which one it would give me the best look. Nope... sadly I got the same look each time. Chalky and dry, aged look. Yes, it reduces shine, but it induced my acne. Maybe this is not the right product for oily acne prone skin like mine. Overall, not happy would not recommend...

I had high hopes for this powder but wasn't impressed. I think I like the translucent powder better.
I use with liquid foundation and found that it didn't give the nice sheen that the translucent powder did. I think it probably helps control oil better though.
I don't like that a TON of it comes out with one little tap- you tend to waste a lot that way.
I'll finish it but won't buy again.

This is by far the best mineral powder I've used. The powder is so fine that even if you mistakenly put too much on your face, it won't end up looking chalky. It definitely does a good job in setting the foundation. The price is reasonable for the quality that you are paying for. Highly recommend this product.

Where has this been all my life? This powder really is invisible, makes my skin feel like silk and stay matte even in the summer heat, and makes make-up stay put. I had trouble choosing between Laura Mercier and repurchasing BareMinerals because the latter is cheaper, but Laura Mercier is a definite winner.

I really like this powder. It provides a very nice, flawless finish. I have some acne scarring and it diffuses the light very well and provides GREAT coverage but not so much that I look like a matte face. I use Dior foundation and love it and then I throw this on top. Best finishing powder I've found yet.

I was very excited to try this product every consultant in the store said it was great. Unfortunately it was extremely drying to my skin. I have the mist n fix from Make Up Forever and ended up spraying in on my face 5 times a day. Needless to say it went back.

I was worried when I saw how light this was considering that I am a light brown skin tone. . granted light, but brown nonetheless. And when you shake it out the powder is white. But alas , it set make up wonderfully and adds a light to your face that has made people look twice, YAY!
