Not worth the money
-02.08.13
I love LM products so I was sure I would love this brush. It is not worth the money. It left little black hairs all over my face time after time. I took great care of the brush but it never stopped shedding. I've had much better experiences with the Sephora brushes at half the price.

Love this brush
-01.15.13
I moved away from the kabuki some time ago but was really pleased when I started using this brush. It applies make up perfectly and is soft.

Perfect portable purse brush
-12.16.12
I use this brush with my pressed mineral powder for a lighter effect on my face vs. the sponge it comes with. I like a little bit lighter coverage. This would work great with the loose powder as well. It is very soft and has a great little satin carrying bag. Fits perfectly in my purse. Doesn't seem to leave behind many bristles on my face either. Kind of spendy but the nicer brushes are!

Nice brush
-06.15.12
I love the shape of the brush, but I don't like the short handle. I love all my Laura Mercier brushes, but the short handle doesn't work for me.

Best kabuki I've used so far.
-04.19.12
Quick Take: natural hair, soft bristles
My first kabuki brushes were from BE and I found them to be harsh, stiff and irritating to my skin. I would always break out after using them even though they were washed daily. Then, I decided to go with a very popular retractable kabuki brush from the drug store...which was $6-8. It wasn't working for me...Even though the brushes were soft as can be, I got a streaky, unnatural finish and needed to work hard for coverage. Then, I decided to be spoiled and buy this very expensive brush. Much better. Fast/full/natural coverage, soft bristles for sensitive skin, natural bristles that dry well with hair dryer in a pinch...I guess sometimes you have to go expensive. The only thing is that the black washes out and can smear on you if the brush isn't totally dry. And it needs something to keep the bristles together while it dries...one of those net things.

love it!
-04.06.12
Quick Take: not sure what kind of hair, it blends powder on my face like magic, the best face brush i've ever used!
what can I say? As all of LM's brushes, this is a winner! However, I'd like one with a longer handle to keep at home and this shorty to keep in my purse. I have one but gna get another so I don't forget and leave home without it.

LAURA MERCIER VS. BARE ESSENTIALS KABUKI
-01.21.12
Quick Take: soft bristles, natural hair
I like the shape of the Laura Mercier brush. It is easier to use and covers better than the Bare Essentials kabuki.

Love the shape
-10.24.11
Quick Take: natural hair
The first time I bought this brush was about 6 months ago and I totally loved it. However, I lost it during my trip to NYC and was totally bummed out. Then, I replaced it with a cheaper kabuki brush from another brand but after a month, I decided to go to Sephora and buy this brush again. That's how much I love this brush! I feel that this brush gives my face a more natural finish and it's just so easy to blend loose powder on my face.

Another brush? Really?
-06.26.11
Quick Take: soft bristles, natural hair, ladylike touch of the orient.
I say yes. This stumpy, mushroom shaped brush is fantastic. It is thick with natural hairs, goat hairs to be specific, and cut on a slant. No long handle, you use this brush right on to your face in the way some people used powder puffs, Nothing applies a more well balanced, light dusting of powder, which keeps a lady looking fresh all evening

Face brush not worth the money
-01.05.11
I did not particularly care for this face brush as it was not soft and the hair bristles kept falling off and into my face.

Laura Mercier kabuki brush
-11.19.10
The brush is ok. Hair does fall off in the first few uses. But overall it's a decent brush, soft and easy to swirl.

Disappointing
-08.31.10
Quick Take: i believe synthetic-not soft
This brush was not soft and left black hairs all over my face every time I used it. Not flattering! I expected much more from this name. Needless to say, I returned it.
