CREAMY ROSE - PERFECT LIPSTICK IN A GLOSS- 03.02.10

I have been trying to find a signature color lip product for a few months since my friends determined that I needed to balance my eye makeup out a little more with a more prominent lip color for my lips. I've never been really big on lip products, using only some minimal glosses and balms, but I do understand what they're saying. One feature is supposed to be more prominent, but leaving my lips relatively unmake up almost looks as if they've been forgotten. So my friends conspired to change my ways, and before the holidays presented me with a huge basket of different lip products. They figured there would be something in there that I'd fall in love with. I'm still working my way through the basket.
Dior's Crème de Gloss in Creamy Rose was in the basket. (The color looks quite different in actuality than what I'm seeing on my monitor. It's much nicer). It's a gloss but a color, too. It's actually stayed on my lips without feeling heavy, like a lot of more intense colors do. It fills in the fine lines on my lips, and is very hydrating. Although I'm not terribly experienced with lip products, in performance, this seems to act more like a really nice lipstick to me than a gloss. It's easy to apply, and it has an okay fragrance (unlike some other brands I've been "forced" to try during my learning experience). My husband says it looks nice and it passes our kissing test. My long hair doesn't get stuck in it, which is a definite plus. There seem to be a variety of colors to choose from, so if one color isn't to your liking you can always pick something more appropriate. This is a really nice lip product. I like how it performs. It lasts a long time, and when the gloss part is gone, there's still a little color remaining evenly on my lips. I highly recommend this. Next time, when I buy one for myself, I think I'll try one of the other beautiful colors.

DIOR CREME DE GLOSS IN FIG NECTAR~BEAUTIFUL!- 02.27.10
This lip gloss is just fabulous--highly pigmented, smooth as glass, thick and rich, stays put. The fig nectar is a very pretty pale red/beige color, nice by itself or over a lipstick.

I got this in Red Venetian Satin and I love the formula,not the color. It doesn't dry out lips and lasts quite a while. It is creamy and not sticky at all. I do hate Sephoras color swatches however. They really are not helpful. Even though I like the color I recieved, it does not match the swatch. This shade is a red with a slight brown base underneath and I thought it would have a blue or cool tone, which is what I was looking for.

Good rich texture, Bad Color- 02.19.10
I bought this in Beige Elixer because from the swatch I thought it would be a shimmery nude. It wound up being a very frosted bronze color which was horrible with my fair features.
The texture of this product was very nice, though, rich and deeply pigmented, truly a cream lipstick. I can't speak to its lasting power or moisturizing properties, though, since I didn't wear mine that long before wiping it off and returning it.

I've been searching for the Red (not orange, not pink, the true classy red!) lipstick quite some time. Finally, I found the right one....Rouge Nectar 845. It is a vibrant red but not too light. It has a bit of gold but not orangy.
I was also very pleased by how high the pigments are. I used many glosses they claimed 'high pigment' 'creamy' etc. but they never live up to their names . But this truly is a 'cream gloss.'
And most of all, this is not sticky! It is wonderful that I don't need to worry about my long hair stick to my gloss anymore! Good quality. Highly recommended.

BURGUNDY 735~SMOOTH, SILKY COVERAGE- 01.31.10

I already reviewed this product in a different color, Beige Elixir 611. The other color I got it in is Burgundy 735. It's a beautiful color, but I would not call it burgundy. It's a sort of soft, shimmery, saturated watermelon color. This lip gloss is really, really nice and, IMHO, the luxurious packaging alone is worth the price!

This stuff glides on like silk, and the color is just gorgeous, a soft but saturated shiny dark beige. I don't think it is as long-lasting as long-wear lipsticks, but it stays on pretty well for a gloss. A beautiful, luxurious goodie to have in your purse.

I was looking for a true red lip stick that was shiny and when I read the reviews on this Creme De Gloss someone said it was a true red (it's the Rouge Nectar) so I thought I would try it. It is fantastic and the perfect color and shine I was looking for. It is not sticky and really moisturizes your lips. I love it!
