Not worth it- 01.22.10
Quick Take: doesnt last long
I have been told that I have a sallow undertone to my complexion and this just made it worse. It also darkened my skin tone, even though I used very little. I gave it 3 tries and each time, my face was no longer matte after 30 minutes, and I had to keep reapplying powder.

FABuLOUS!!- 01.15.10
Quick Take: lotion-like
I have combination/mostly oily skin. I'm black with a medium skin tone and this product if absolutely flawless. It works perfectly keeping the "shine" at bay. I use it with and without make up, and you only need the size of a pea to cover/treat you whole face! Price wise, it's extremely affordable!

I have very oily skin and this product didn't seem to aleviate the problem whatsoever. I only gave it two stars for its smooth, silky texture that helped my foundation glide on a little bit. I also experienced some separation of product in the tube. Also FYI the product has a bit of a tint to it.

Helps reduce oil a little, but not for long- 12.29.09

I have oily skin in the t-zone, and this seems to help the shine for a while, but doesn't seem to last very long. I am shiny again in an hour. You can re-apply this on top of makeup which is nice, but you can do the same thing with powder. I like the texture of this product, just wished it was more effective, especially for the price.

Love it and hate it- 12.17.09
My friend let me borrow her Bluray Mattifier before I bought a tube myself. I loved the way it looked and felt on my skin so purchashing it was a no brainer. I have been using this product for several months. At first this product didn't affect my skin and it looked beautiful. Over time this product has made my face break out. I stopped using the product and my skin has cleared up nicely. I do have sensitive skin so perhaps it is just my skin overrecating to an ingredient in this product. This mattifier does make your skin look flawless (as long as you don't have blemishes already) and is the perfect base for foundation. I used this in conjunction with Cargo's Bluray powder and blush - it looked amazing! I have gone back to my Smashbox Photofinish light primer and my skin is much improved. Great product but not worth the breakouts. I would not recommend this product for those with sensitive or very dry skin.

Cargo Mattifier- 12.08.09
Quick Take: portable, non-cakey
Of all the mattifiers I have tried this is the best. I love the way the silicone polymers feel on my skin, and the way that it seems to smooth out imperfections as well as keep my face matte all day. The packaging is also great, it makes it easy to make sure you are using each and every last drop. I would recommend this to anyone that want's to look their best all day, and stay matte and polished.

A fan of their HD line- 12.04.09
Quick Take: portable, silky
I think I'm on my 3rd tube of this. Unless they've recently changed the formula- mine have all been tinted and it looks like the swatch online is clear? Also, I wouldn't necessarily call this product mattifying as the product name suggest. If you're looking ot cut down on oil production try Cosmedicine's lotion. Nevertheless, this product is a great primer. The consistency is similar to Sephora brand and Smashbox- a silky cream. It's thicker than NARS primer. Avoid putting on too much because it will flake off in "rolls". Used correctly, it sets powders and foundations nicely. Make sure you give it a minute or two to dry before makeup application.

I like this product a lot but I gave it three stars because I would have liked a bigger tube for the price you pay. It's good and you only need a little, but the tube doesn't last very long.

I have combination skin & needed something to control the oil in my t-zone. This does make my make-up last longer than not using primer, but as far as "mattifying"-- didn't happen. A little does go a long way, but still not worth the price.

I have tried every brand out there and Clinique's T-Zone Mattifier was always the one I went back to......until now. I have been using Blu Ray for about 3 weeks and it prevents shine much better than Clinique. I have very oily skin and it lasts all day. Love it!

not great for oily skin. this stuff slicked off my powder makeup within hours. put one alone, it does mattify, but I found it hard to work with anything else , moisturizers, concealer, powder foundation all proved to be problematic. sorry sephora, but its coming back.

I have super oily skin and i put this product to the ultimate test. On my day off I put this product on half of my face and went about my day. After 12 hours one side of my face was a greasy mess and the other had a smidge of a shine that blotting with a paper towel immediately took care of. I highly recommend this product!
