Got hair quickly pancake flat (too flat, something I didn't think possible on my hair), but I found it too hot and drying even though I usually use irons on the higher settings on my wavy thick hair. Fried the ends. No way to turn down heat setting. Returned.

Quick Take: amazing!
This isn't just a purchase that will last for a year and you will need to splurge again. It is a purchase that will last for years and years. It doesn't have a heat setting which I was worried about on my fine hair, but it pulses the heat through, so it is doesn't damage your hair with the hot, hot heat. It left my hair soft and smooth and ever my friends with thick and curly hair loved how it works. It also curls AMAZING! The curls last forever. The great thing about sephora is that you can alway return the product if you are unhappy with it, but trust me when I say you won't be! Another great feature for a person rushed in the morning is the automatic turn off feature which allows you to go about your day not worrying if you left the straightning iron on at home. I would recommend this product to anyone and plan on buying one for my sister for Chistmas!

I debated buying this one. It was pricey and I have problem hair so I was scared if it didn't work, like most straighteners, that it wouldve been a huge waste of money. This is the best straightener I have ever used. I have very thick curly hair and once straightened, which takes less than 20 minutes to do perfectly, it stays straight all day, all night, and into the morning. worth the price.

I liked the GHD iron but thought there was too much hype and too big of a price for it. After testing it out I realized that I might as well pay less and get another CHI iron because the difference in price was really just for features I don't need (like heating plates that turn off after 20/30 minutes). And although I found the GHD iron broke off less hair, with thick hair like mine, I appreciate that my old CHI iron had better friction for straightening and curling my hair.

Love this product. It is absolutely worth the higher sticker price. It has cut down on my styling time. The plates are smooth and they make full contact at all points. I've never used a better iron.

It heats up very quickly, it doesnt burn your hair, it works so well on wavy or really curly hair and doesnt take long to use at all, i would definitely recommend this! I would also recommend using the ghd heat protecting spray with it it actually works so well, it makes your hair so much shinier than if you dont use it.

Quick Take: great, durable, pretty, heats up quickly
Usually, it takes me 45 minutes to straighten my long hair and around 30 to straighten my hair when it's an inch below my shoulders. This straightener was so hot and smooth that it took me 15 minutes to go through my hair, which is normally one big puffball. It left my straight hair feeling smooth and shiny. Also, it comes in the best color out there - hot pink!

I've been a hairstylist for almost a decade. When I started there wasn't a flat iron around that was worth a darn. Then 3 years ago after being a loyal follower of the HAI brand (selling them like crazy to clients, family and friends) I tried a GHD at a hair show. After feeling defeated for so long thinking there aren't really any products or tools to maximize my beauty, i was so wrong. I like to straighten my hair a lot because i have wavy hair and i used to have a low-end hairdryer and hair straightener. Well, i got what i paid for - junky hair. After watching and reading reviews, this seemed to worked wonders and i figured i really needed the best for my hair to look and be healthy. This product heats up in about 30 seconds, silkens and straightens my hair in one or two swipes. it is fantastic. it's worth every penny and i'll never again compromise quality for price. if you get it at sephora, you can return anything so i felt safe investing in this expensive tool. believe me.....it's NEVER going back.

I wanted to find an iron to replace the "chi" I have been using for the last 10 years. I love this iron. It heats up immediately and it is a professional iron that my stylist uses. I have dry, curly, course hair and wouldn't bother straightening it without it.

Don't get me wrong, this straightened my hair so fast and made it so shiny and sleek, but my hair felt noticibly more fried after just one use. And I have straightened my hair everyday for the past 3 years. I kept it for two weeks and now my hair is so damaged. Needless to say, I returned it. Very dissappointing.

Best Hair Straightener Out There!!!- 08.31.09
I have VERY thick, long hair - which is naturally wavy and very frizzy! This straightener cuts down on time and agrovation! It makes my hair silky smooth and straight, it is also easy to curl or wave your hair! Finally if you travel to Europe this product works over there as well!! I have had it for 1.5 years and it is still going strong!
