not that easy for short hair

Quick Take: tricky for short hair
This seems to be a very well made product, but I find it very difficult to do the shorter layers at the back of my head. I feel like I need a third hand, or better yet, a second person. The how-to video shows a model with long tresses styling her own hair... not very helpful.

Excellent styler

Excellent styler for short hair. It heats almost instantly and turns off if left unattended for 1/2 hour. It leaves hair very straight after one pass. May also create volume and curls. The downside is it is very expensive. I had a gift card which I used to purchase. Even though it is expensive it is an excellent iron. I think better than Chi or T3 both of which I have used. It is also sturdy.

I don't know how I went so long without this flat iron. It takes seconds to heat up and minutes to get through straightening all of my hair. I have naturally curly hair but by the time I'm done it is perfectly straight and will stay that way for 2 days. I wouldn't ever go back to using any other flat iron.

The best and even great for shoulder length hair..

Quick Take: easy to use compact
This is my third flat iron and I have to say it is the BEST. I'm black with shoulder length relaxed hair and I find that the mini styler allows me to get as close as possible to the roots and easy access to hair at the nape. A regular one inch flat iron cannot do that. Also, I love that the barrel has a rounded edge so there are no crease marks in the hair when styling hair in a straight sleek style. Also, I love that it does not make my hair smelled burned. This is a winner...don't be fooled by any imitations or any other brands! I'd definitely recommend this flat iron to anyone who's looking for a professional iron to deliver consistent results.

I had purchased the regular iron and my daughter loved it so much, I gave it to her. The mini for myself is perfect. I have medium hair and colored so I need something that will not fry my hair. This works great! The best thing is that it stays straight. With other irons it would start out straight and since I have wave in my hair, gradually get wavy. Not with the ghd iron. Worth every penny!

I have short hair and do like the size of this. It's easy to maneuver and use. There is no knob for heat control and I don't feel like it gets hot enough. Maybe I'm wrong? I've only had it for a couple weeks and haven't been home long enough to watch the DVD. That will probably shed much light on things for me!

GHD's mini styler is the perfect sleek design for carrying on vacations or trips for work. It works just as well as the hot pink styler, just in a sleeker, more compact design. It's easy to hold on to and cools down quickly. This is a great styler.

Good for Short Hair

Quick Take: travel sized
I suppose this product would be nice for shorter or thinner hair. I bought this by accident because for some reason, someone replaced the outer cover box with the GHD Styler which is the normal sized straightener. When I took it out of the box, it was tiny! Surprised, I went online to find that I had bought the wrong one. I tried it out anyway but since I have such thick hair, it took way longer than my normal straightener. This is definitely a great purchase if your someone who's always on the road since the size is so convenient, but if your someone with long, thick hair, you should probably go with the regular GHD Styler.

i love the ghd mini styler! i have very tightly coiled hair and have tried almost every straightener there is out there. it does not dry out my hair like many other flat irons. and it leaves it with so much shine. it is the best flat iron that i have ever tried!

Quick Take: a fabulous addition to my travel kit
This is an excellent Hair Strentener/crimper for travel. It heats up quickl/efficiently and is great for those who forget to turn it off. Its only drawback is its size - but you're buying a mini so just keep that in mind if you have a lot of hair.

Pros:
-Heats up in 30 seconds!!
-Temprature auto-adjusts to your specific hair type (great for novice flat iron users)
-Softens hair and actually flattens it unlike many other irons that just straighten but still manages to leave it puffy and frizzy.
-Since it is a small plate, it feels easier to do the back of the head, create flips, and soft waves
-The iron itself feels durable, and I like the matte black look of the flat iron.
Will turn off after 30 min.- ease of mind.
Cons:
-Costs - but GHD is a top of the line brand - so you get what you pay for.
Auto-Temp (Expert users don't have the ease of adjusting the temp. to their liking) I don't mind personally.

I have short, very curly hair and this Flat Iron is great for people who have short hair. Its a 1/2" thick which is perfect. It leaves my hair soft.
the con's though are that it only has one heat setting but for someone like myself its a plus so that it doesnt ruin my hair that much.
Over all....I say its totally worth the money if you are able to spend it.
