Love the Brush Set- 12.24.09

I was hesitant to purchase these brushes because of the cost. However, I decided to spurge after considering the set for about six months. They are great brushes and the belt is a good way to keep them. Initially, I was concerned because the hairs from a couple of the brushes came off onto my face. However, I asked a Sephora store clerk about this and he suggested washing the brushes to remove loose hairs. Once I did this, I have not had any other problems. I am glad I made this purchase. They travel great via the belt.

i am satisfied with this purchase (note i said satisfied & not ecstatic). bought this using a 20 percent off coupon (total came out to $220 which is less than $15 per brush) so i made out like a bandit :D wish the pouch was of a better quality though & the hair on some of the brushes weren't bent. i expected better quality for this "deluxe" kit.
pros: + a collection of quality brushes that are really useful for any makeup fanatic + room in the pouch to add a few more of your other brushes
cons: + some of the hairs on some of the brushes weren't all straight due to the plastic brush protector (minor peeve of mine) + pouch had a funky smell to it. makes my bathroom smell like mothballs :/ + the velcro strap looks tacky when the pouch is closed + pouch itself looks very cheap

I find this a very good deal for what you get. However, like all of Sephora's brush belts, I find that it's not the best quality in the world. I use M.A.C's brush belt, not to be bias because I'm a M.A.C girl.
I've tried all of the brush belts before I purchased the belt (you need to be a Pro Member to get it, and at the time I wasn't yet). However, for the average consumer this is great, the brushes are nice, the brush belt is good (yet not professional quality, it's not bad quality either).
I don't recommend this product for people who wish to be in the makeup artistry field, but for anyone else, this is a great set at a great price.

This is such a bargain, the brushes are of such high quality and unlike the previous reviewer I have washed these many times with actual brush cleaner and they have held up very well. This is the best brush kit I've come across. It has absolutely everything you need and it has the belt so you can do makeup on someone with limited space. Sephora brushes are VERY high quality, and last a long time. When I use these brushes on clients they always talk about how soft they are, but they aren't too soft to be effective. This is the perfect set and a great price! Brushes really make or break your makeup application, and if you want to be successful in the industry (or just having well applied makeup) you NEED quality brushes, and as a makeup artist I need multiple brushes that are similar so I can apply different colors quickly when I don't have time to clean. I can't say enough good things about these! If you are not a makeup artist and don't want to spend this kind of money I would still suggest another Sephora brand brush set that is smaller, this is really designed for makeup artists.

At first the price literally shocked me, but I am a professional artist and I know that brushes make the diffence in good art and okay art. So this must hold true for makeup as well. So I purchased it and fell in love, my makeup has never looked better! The quality of these brushes are something you have to feel for your self. I couldn't choose a favorite, but i have deciede that the stippling brush is my new go to brush for flawless foundation. The belt also holds all my other brushes, adn really wows my friends when I roll it out, they think I am a professional!
