Quick Take: buildable coverage, illuminating
I had Stila foundation years ago, and decided to re-try it after a fest of skin changes due to Coeliac and Being over 30. Most happily, it was just as wonderful as I remember it. The subtle shimmer is amazing, it evens out my skin tone, looks natural, and gives me a subtle glow. I even got a shade too summer-skin for me, and it was still wonderful. Amazing!

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing, luminous, great base for bronzer, flawless
Very build-able, and blend-able. If you find this foundation to be too luminous, it is excellent mixed with other foundations. Makes your skin looks flawless. It also serves as a great base for bronzer, especially if you like to contour your cheek bones or other facial features. I always get compliments on my skin when I wear this!

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing, oil-free, natural finish, light weight
Fully lives up to my expectations! Goes on ultra smooth, gives just the right coverage, and has a nice dewy, natural finish. And, super light weight (nobody likes a goopy, heavy feel). I was so impressed, because a lot of foundations leave me with dry patches and look chalky/cakey. Not this miraculous little number :) I've found the foundation I wanna spend the rest of my life with!

Quick Take: perfect coverage, illuminating, a must-have
I had been using this foundation for about 10 years. Recently, my local Sephora stopped selling it. I was in a pinch & after working w/ a store specialist, I bought another brand (Urban Decay). MISTAKE. Stila's Illuminating Liquid Foundation is simply the best. The coverage is perfect for me- never heavy but evens my tone out. The luminosity is amazing- I constantly get compliments when I wear it. Also, I have sensitive skin, and am allergic to SPF. I have ZERO problems w/ this product. As a final note: I am of mixed ethnicity, which has always made finding the right color difficult. This is THE ONLY product which simply melts into my skin and gives me the perfect match.

Quick Take: dewy look, lightweight
I've been looking for a lightweight foundation that will give me a dewy look and the Stila Illuminating Foundation definitely does the trick! This is the effect that I wish BB creams had-- light, glowing, and radiant. Instead of covering you up with heavy cakey stuff, this evens out your color and blurs your imperfections. You do still need a concealer for more serious imperfections like pimples and dark spots. The range of shades is perfect and I was able to find one that matched me (not an easy feat for a pale girl who gets really pink at times!). I would have given it five stars except it has a subtle but kinda funky smell and it's very runny. I wish it was a more luxurious texture, but I suppose that's the tradeoff for the lightweight properties.

My glowing secret

Quick Take: glowy, gorgeous
I have to admit it, when I first brought this home, I hated it. It sat there in my collection for a few months without any use (I'm bad at returning things). Then, I decided to give it another go because I had forgotten what it was I didn't like about it. I applied it with my fingers, really massaging it into my dry skin, and loved how it gave me a glow. The problem I realized was that I need more coverage. Sooo, I tried it with a Shisedo foundation layered over it, and voila! The best-looking skin base I have ever had. I hardly need concealer, and strangely, I don't look over-done. It looks like skin, but a fabulous, glowy, slightly blurred-version of it. I haven't touched any of my other foundations since (and I have quite a few of them).
Yes, I know many people would be turned off by using two foundations, but I'm treating this foundation like a glowy face primer, and I'm loving the results.

I have been wearing this sheet illuminating foundation for a couple of years now. It's color matches perfectly to my skin! The coverage is perfect and does well for my fine lines. It's not overly shiny or shimmery! Just the right amount of sparkle!

I so wanted to love this foundation. The finish was amazing. Blendable, buildable, lovely. I was excited when I tried the sample. But within an hour, I could feel the breakout happening. Very disappointing.

Third repurchase for me. I am using 30 watt. Its amedium light ochre beige. I'm 50 n a few weeks. I'm also a guy with a neatly groomed goatee. I have nice skin, but some sundamage. I'm also Asian/Polynesian and white mix. So I have a lot of problems getting a realistic shade. Well, this is awesome. It doesn't cake, sit in lines, nor look like "makeup face" which is really important to me. It's not matte or shiny, its not sparkley. Alll I see is great skin.
I blot it, set it with mineral veil and use a little synthetic kabuki to brush in matte bronzer on the perimeter of my face to prevent a flat look. Incredibley natural. I am a former cosmetologist and I am always looking for perfect products to use on friends, and I was so impressed with Stila Illuminating Makeup, I had to use it myself. You will not be dissatisfied. It is a quality product.

Excellent for mature skin

Now that I am 50, I really have to be picky about my foundation. It is so easy to look older after applying makeup than before. But this product is amazing. More like a mousse than a liquid. Absolutely does not settle in my lines. My skin looks dewey and radient. Several people have complimented me on my complexion since a friend told me to buy it. It is very light coverage so if you are looking for medium to full, this is not your product. The coverage is similar to tinted moisturizer. I am a light to medium and the 40 watt is perfect. Please Stilla, never stop making this!

I used to use Stila's oil free foundation which has been discontinued. I decided to try this foundation as a replacement because my skin is sensitive to different brands of makeup. This was not a good match. It did not provide the same coverage and it left my face a little shiny. It was a far cry from my other foundation because it was enough for my coworkers to notice that I was using something different on my face! I returned this. It may work for someone else but not for me.

I've been using Tarte's ReCreate foundation and had to find a suitable substitute once it was discontinued. I thought I liked this product in the store where the make up consultants were so helpful! Unfortunately, I HATE IT. It feels weird the longer its on my skin, and I cannot blend it in as nicely as Tarte. :( so so so so so disappointed.

I love Stila's foundation and this illuminating liquid one is fantastic. My skin looked 10x brighter and I didn't need any type of bronzer/powder that had a shimmer in it. However, it was a bit thick and heavy. I noticed it was harder to blend because of that. My skin is typically oily in the winter time and the heaviness of this product didn't help.. It may be different on my drier skin in the summer. Still worth it just MAKE SURE to match your skin tone exactly to avoid blotchiness.

i've used several products in the past but this is by far the best foundation. it's light but still provides enough coverage, it has just the right amount of luminescence, and is a good natural/tan color. when i went to buy it last weekend, they did not have it at my local sephora so i hope they're not discontinuing it.

Quick Take: long wearing, natural
I used this foundation two bottles ago (Make Up Forever then Nars). I think this one is by far the best. I've been looking at pictures of me from when I wore this particular foundation and my skin looks a lot better than with the other two. I will definitely purchase this again.
