Quick Take: smelly, creamy, not the best out there

This product smells pretty bad, the color is ok but it's difficult to blend properly. The texture is nice, but there are much better (and cheaper) products out there. Would not buy again.

Great Tanner - 02.15.10

I have only used this product once but I love it so far. It does give a natural golden glow and does not look orange as I was worried due to my fair complexion. It also moisturized my dry winter skin and got rid of the rough dry patches without additional moisturizer. Smell is light and not too bad. Only gave it a 4 star due to price.

Healthy Glow - 02.10.10

I've been using the Self-Tanning Gel formula from Clarins for years now - mostly in the winter when I want to look a little more healthy, a little less pale. This Christmas, I was given a sample of this new formula to try out. I love how it has some color to it - makes application much easier. And it definitely still gives that healthy boost I need in the colder months. Two warnings only: 1) don't use this more than once or twice a week, unless you're going for the Jersey Shore look - I think this is much better to use for healthy glow than all out tan, and 2) there is a bit of a sun lotion scent to it, so I usually try to use it the day before an important event so I don't have that scent fighting whatever perfume I want to wear.

Quick Take: worth the money

I have a olive tone complexion and felt like i need some color to my skin, so I decided to try this product out. The smell is bad, very bad, but it did give me a nice golden color. I suggest using a moisturizer right after applying for a more even natural look.

Pretty good - 01.29.10

The color is pretty natural looking and not streaky. However, I found it to have that typical self tanner stink. My husband thinks it smells gross. I wouldn't go out without showering first.

Quick Take: bad- smelling

The product was alright. The woman at Sephora told me she liked it out of all the self tanners they sold. It was nice because the color took a few hours to develop, and the color looked great on me. The woman said I could put it on daily to get the desired color. I put it on the day after applying it the first, and once the color developed, I looked fake and orange, and it took forever to get it off. I was so embarrassed! Also, I noticed that everytime I put it on, the horrible tanning smell lingers until you take a shower. No not like a good coconut tanning spa smell, just that nasty fake tan smell, the one where other people know you put fake tanning stuff on. I'm still looking for something that smells better (at least) and doesn't look orange.

This product is awesome. I used to always spray tan but this is just as good. It looks really natural both on your body and face.

Clarins tanning cream - 10.18.09

Quick Take: luxury

This cream was fabulous. No streaking, quickly dried and it didn't have that awful odor so many other tanners have.
