Perfect color and easy application

Quick Take: natural-looking
I am on my second jar of this tanning cream and I am so pleased with this product. The color is natural and I've gotten compliments when I use it. I am generally on the paler side, but I tan easily in the summer; this particular tanning lotion EXACTLY mimics my summer tan color. (For reference I would say my skin has warm undertones)
It smells nice, but I recommend exfoliating and applying it at night a little bit before bed and then showering in the morning. I usually use this a few times in the days leading up to a party or other event.
If I use it on my face, I mix a small amount with moisturizer; otherwise I find it's too heavy for my face and has caused breakouts. Also, they're serious about waiting for it to dry. It will stain.
I recommend this to people often and, although it's expensive, I find the fact that it's easy to apply and fairly mistake-proof to be worth the price. Also, I see good results after the first use and pretty deep results after the second.

At first I loved this cream. It contained no petroleum or sulfates, gave me a nice color and moisturized at the same time. But after a while I developed blackheads on my forehead. I'll not be using it anymore.

I love a nice tan look...so I tried Clarins self tanning...beautiful color, moisturizing but smelly.. so if you can put up with the smell for a day or so this is the product for you

I wanted to try something new for my face. Must be more careful around hairline than i did with other tanners. I agree that it comes off pretty easy in the first 3-4 hours. A decent golden tan. Didnt get any streaks of any kind after 3 uses now. Smell, is pretty subtle. I still have to say the lancome for the face is better. I like the St. Tropez for the mouse the best for the body.

This cream is really nice when you first put it on. The slight tint gives an instant glow and then gets tanner after several hours. The downside is that tint comes off on your clothes, bedding and towels. I made the mistake of wearing white shorts the same day I applied it. Smell is not too bad for a self tanner.

I have fair skin & red hair and this is my favorite self-tanner. I intended to get the whip, but accidentally ordered the cream. I like both. Nice fragrance. Make sure to wash your hands after application! I read that it doesn't have a long shelf life so I will have to hustle to use all of it.

I'm fair skinned and have tried almost every self tanner out there. This one is the absolute best. Not crazy expensive but the tan is natural and lasts a few weeks after just one application. LOVE it!

I am a verrrrrrry fair skinned redhead. This is the best self-tanner I have ever used, and believe me I have used plenty. Everything, from a professional spray tan to the drugstore brand. First I use a brown sugar scrub then apply the tanner to the places I want tan. It leaves your skin soft and the smell is wonderfull.....none of that chemical smell you get with other tanners. I apply the product before I go to bed and wake up with a beautifull natural brown color to my skin.

Quick Take: dexy glow, even application
This is a great product. Just make sure that you are exfoliated and moisturized before you apply it. This smells absolutely divine, like chocolate and does not turn you orange. I don't know if things can get any better than that. It'll give you a nice, slightly bronzed look (depending on how heavy your application is that is). It looks even better on tan skin because you already have a good base on which to build a layer to 2 of the self tanner. It will leave you looking golden-bronzed. Very beautiful.
The only bad thing about this is that it does not keep well. If you do plan to get it, make sure you finish it within the first 3-4 months.

I have used many self tanners over the years. No self tanner is perfect and this one is no different, but it is the best I have tried. There can still be some blotchiness in some areas . The cream can be used on face and body and leaves a nice color and leaves skin soft. The smell is somewhat strong, but I find it pleasant. I like that the package also comes in a jar, but of course it would be nice if the price was lower or jar included an extra couple of ounces.

This product gives a very natural looking tan. I started using it as an enhancement to a tan I got on vacation, but now use it every couple of days to have a hint of natural looking color. Goes on easily and is not greasy. Love it!

Having dry skin I love the cream formula. It does tan well but requires a 3-6 applications before a suitable tan developes. Given the price, it runs out quickly for that amount of money. I would recommend fake bake which is better and tans quicker. I am very pale and works beautifully.

Quick Take: effective but stains the bedsheets
I love other Clarins self tanners-- both the gel and the white mousse, and I always recommend them to my friends because I love the natural color I get. But this product caused a horrendous transfer to the bedsheets-- unfortunate since I was in a rental home with white sheets. While it gave me the same great tan as the other Clarins products, I will never use this tinted product again.

I have tried everyyyyy sunless tanning product on the planet and this stuff is by far the BEST I have ever used!! While it does have a slight sunless tanner smell, it is very light and doesn't bother me. I just put it on at night and then shower it off when I wake up in the morning. The color it delivers would best be described as a light bronze glow. It is not orange, streaky or un-natural looking! After I use it people ask me where I just returned from because they think I must have taken a trip to achieve such a healthy, natural glow! I've always been a tanning bed addict but as I'm getting older I'm becoming more afraid of wrinkling so this product is a godsend, it allows me to stay bronze year round without the wrinkles and skin cancer!

I'm a very, very pale girl who has tried numerous self tanners. I don't have any intention to look like a sungoddess, instead I just want to get of enough of a glow where I wont look weak and tired all the time. I love this stuff. It's expensive, but for all the money I've wasted on cheaper self tanners it is certainly worth it. First, it gives off a very nice natural glow (especially for pale skin) that isn't orangey or too muddy. Second, and what I like most of all, is it simply fades away. With previous self tanners I've been left with blotchy patches that I need to scrub at. Self tanner pathces would get so bad around my neck that my boyfriend asked me if I had a skin condition! I'm so pleased that I can just apply this stuff and watch it fade. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because despite the large container you still need big globs of it to cover your whole body. It also doesn't last too too long, maybe 3 days before it fades, but hey, most self tanners only last that long. Anyway, I love the product and I'm excited to have it for this winter so I can maintain a healthy glow during the holidays.

I really just don't like this stuff. To me, it smells horrible. Like cocoa mixed with loads of chemicals -- and the smell doesn't go away! I constantly felt like people could smell my legs! And it's very orange and very streaky...

I have fair skin and this is best self tanner I've used (and I've tried quite a few). It's easy to apply and never streaks or looks orange-y, and it smells pretty good too. It might seems a bit expensive but it's so worth the money!
