Quick Take: lightweight, absorbs quickly
I've tried samples of other moisturizers and I keep coming back to Clinique's moisture surge. It is perfect for my combination skin and does not feel oily or heavy on my skin, yet it keeps my skin moisturized even during the cold winter months in New York City. I love it.

I love Clinique's moisture surge. I only use it at night but I apply it on my face, neck and decollette. Helps fight that tight dry feeling, and I swear I can see a difference after a few days if I forget it!

I live in a very dry climate. This winter was extremly had on my skin. I received this as a sample and loved it. I have adult acne and this didn't make me break out! That a lone makes me happy.

I really like this moisture cream. It's especially nice in the summer because it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. It absorbs super fast and it's a very nice cooling feeling as you put it on.

It really didn't do anything for my skin. I used it during spring and summer as a light moisturizer. It really does cool my skin which is why it gets 3 stars but otherwise it did nothing.

this is super-hydrating gel cream with aloe so it is great for sunburnt or stressed skin such as after a masque treatment. i love it and recently purchased a larger size:)

Perfect hydration, even with acne-prone skin

I used to have oily skin with cystic acne that I couldn't get rid of, no matter what. After being prescribed Retin-A, my skin turned a lot drier and became inflamed from practically anything.I'm still acne prone when faced with certain ingredients, though, so I went to the Sephora store and was recommended this. I love it. Using Moisture Surge makes my face feel fresh and hydrated, and I have not found that it makes me break out. Score! I would most recommend this for combination skin, dry skin, or skin going through treatments that change its consistency like mine is.
Safe for finnicky, sensitive, acne-prone skin.
I put it on 20 minutes after applying Retin-A at night, and around 15-20 minutes after I get out of the shower (where I wash my face with Ren Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk.)

This product delivers exactly what it claims. It is cool and refreshing on my skin, making it super soft but never greasy. I also have very sensitive skin, and this product does not make me break out at all. Highly recommend!

Works well with my facial eczema

Was introduced to this product 10 years ago when I was getting a free make-over at Clinique. The gal noticed that I had some eczema on my combination (but mostly oily) face.
She recommended and used the Moisture Surge on my face. She could see I was hesitant because I had already told her what I used (or the long list of what I didn't use) for my face and eczema alone. I instantly noticed how much better and relieved my skin had felt when she applied it.
Out of all the products she had used to make me a beautiful gal (free make-over was for prom, haha), this was THE product I remembered her using. My eczema flare ups came and went; and whenever they did, I would use this product to help ease the dryness, tightness, and overall health of my skin.
To this day, I swear by this product.
It did help with eczema flare ups, but I do find that I use it more frequently during the dry winter months (I live in Chicago, so the winters are harsh) than in the summer.

I was using Estee' Lauder Advanced Timewise gel before using this product. While I still love the Timewise this product provides the additional moisture my skin needs to keep fine lines from being so noticeable and prominent. I wear this product daily under my make-up. In the past when trying to wear a lightweight moisturizer my foundation wanted to "slide" or "sit" on my skin. This wonderful lightweight gel provides a moisturized canvas for a beautiful foundation. I use the mask in this line at night and the gel during the day. I live in very high humidity and this product does not make my skin breakout nor does it promote excessive oiliness in the daily heat and humidity.

Leaves a weird feel /dry

I wanted to like this but unfortunately it was horrible. It left such a weird feel to my face. It didn't sink into my skin like normal moisturizer. Instead it sat on top like a sticky reside. I have it time to dry and my skin felt slightly less sticky but still dry. This is really weird stuff. If feels good going on but didn't finish we'll at all. I'm disappointed.

I love this stuff. It is worth the price, as it will last you a very long time. A little goes a long way! It glides on like silk and soothes your face. It feels so hydrating and it's oil free! I use it as my moisturizer day, night and I apply before make up and before Clinique CC cream. Over make up and it refreshes it. A definite must have.

I've used other moisturizers but keep coming back to this one. I love that I can put a thick layer on dry spots before bed, and my skin absorbs it overnight. I use a thinner layer in the morning before applying my primer and makeup.

First, its wrong that people said that it is NOT moisturizing at all.... It is a moisturize BOOSTER not a plain moisturizer! Please read the instructions before your use anything... It is supposed to use AFTER your moisturizer as a booster! It locks the moisture (so if u don't have any moisture, obviously there's nothing for it to lock....) So, I have a dry combination skin, dry cheeks and slightly oily t-zone (due to lack of water)~ I put my moisturizer on and use this thirst relief right after. I usually use it as a night mask and when I wake up in the morning, I found my skin so soft and moisturized. AND NO oil on my face! cause my skin type is like lack of water and if I dont moisturize my skin enough, I will have oil on my face~ It is a really good product to keep you face moisturized for the whole day!

This is a GREAT moisturizer during the winter. I use this each day and each night during dry winter months when my skin needs that extra quench of moisture. A little goes a long way!! Also, I tend to get normal breakouts and this helps with my acne treatment that tends to dry out my skin even more.

I discovered this moisturizer through the 100 point bonus in 2012 and since then have not used anything else on my face. it is perfect in summer and winter and seems to be able to balance skin from getting dry or oily.
