Fantastic Cleanser

This is such a foamy, refreshing cleanser; makes me look forward to washing my face (something I don't particularly enjoy). It cleanses well, doesn't strip my skin, and literally feels luxurious to use. I thought I'd never switch from Philosophy's Purity, but I love this too much! It's expensive, but Ole's products are soo good for you, work so well, and are cruelty-free, too! I bought the small bottle to try, and it's lasting well. It said to use two pumps per washing, but I find that one does the job...removes my makeup very well, and leaves my skin clean and so soft! And it smells fantastic. Makes the mundane facial ritual much more enjoyable!

Perfect for Sensitive Skin

Quick Take: foamy
My skin reacts to everything from my dogs brushing up against my cheek to a new SPF. This is the only cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin. It also leaves it feeling clean - not dried out or cause my skin to get oily by mid-day. It is expensive, but absolutely worth it.

I like this cleanser so much because it makes my skin feel nice and moist. It's gentle and didn't dry my skin. However, i do have acne prone skin so it really didn't benefit me in that aspect.

I will start off by saying that I am returning the product to Sephora but only because its not great for my very sensitive skin. It is a foamy, pleasant smelling cleanser that easily removes dirt and makeup. Not eye makeup though. I liked it at first, but then I realized that it didn't do anything for my redness and even dried out my already sensitive skin.

Smell is good and it is very soft. BUT it always does not work when you used half of them. This is my third one and it can not come out when I used half. The design of this bottle is so bad.

I love this cleanser. i feel very clean, but not tight after. The smell is fantastic especially in the morning. I wear heavy makeup so I use a makeup remover 1st, but this does a really nice job of actually cleaning my face gently.

I am on my second bottle of this amazing cleanser and will continue to repurchase for as long as I can. It smells like fresh citrus and does not dry out my skin . I can count on this cleanser to take off any left over makeup which is awesome! I also feel it helps maintain my skins clarity overall. Love Ole!

Foamy, yes. Creamy, luxuriant? Decidedly not. And as another reviewer said, this stuff leaves skin feeling stripped and dry. Nice clean scent. And a little goes a long way. But it's pricey and doesn't hold a lather with my Clarisonic. Too bad this bottle will last a long time. Can't wait to try something else

I have very sensitive skin and this natural cleanser works wonderfully on my skin! It cleans my skin without stripping away any of its natural moisture. It also smells lovely, almost like it was cleaned with an orange peel.
This cleanser works so great that even my boyfriend uses it now. The only drawback with the container is that it's not very travel friendly. It kind of explodes on the airplane, for easy cleanup wrap it up in its own ziploc bag.

I recently bought the small travel bundle with this cleanser, the invigorating gel, the truth serum and sheen moisturizer. I have been a long time loyal customer to philosophy facial soap, however, I have made the switch to this African Red Tea Cleanser! I love the clean fragrance, I no longer need to wash me face and THEN use mascara remover- it removes all my make-up! And just in case your wondering- yes I wear WATERPROOF mascara and it removes it!! I have always been self conscious of my old acne scars and reddish spots on my face (to which is the reason I NEVER go anywhere with makeup on), & my husband recently told me how smooth and pretty my skin looked! Okay ladies! We all know it takes a lot for our men to notice anything new on us, that was just what I needed to continue with this line of skincare!

good but didn't work for my sensitive skin

I bought this cleanser because I appreciate that Ole Henriksen products use few chemicals and this cleanser is paraben and phthalate free. It gets the job done in terms of removing makeup and it doesn't dry our your skin - huge pluses. The smell is pleasant and citrusy - like a mojito. Unfortunately, I think it was this fragrance that made me react within the first week of use. I got red bumps on my cheeks and jawline that made me look like I had razor burn - a definite negative. I should say here I frequently have bad reactions to fragrance in products and this is probably something most people wouldn't experience. If you don't have problems with sensitive skin you might really like this, particularly if you are trying to avoid cleansers with harmful chemicals.
