I own all Kat Von D's eyeshadow Palettes and this one is another hit for me. The brown shades are perfect for blue eyes. Highly pigmented colors and with the help of Urban Decay's Primer Potion colors stay put all day without fading, creasing, or flaking. Now, like so many others, I'm just waiting for her to put out one with reds and blacks!

Quick Take: good value
Ludwig is the first palette that I bought. I now have all 5. Out of all of them Ludwig is my favorite. I wasn't too happy about green being in the palette. But when I tried Orbi and Dimebag I loved them. The shadows go on really smoothly. The only bad thing is that the brushes that come in the palette are small. But I had already bought the Kat Von D make up brushes.

Wanted to hate it- 11.03.09
Quick Take: good quality, nice colors
But I love it. I wish the black came in a single color instead of the palette- quite possibly the best black I have ever used to date. Kat Von D is over rated but i do like her eye shadows, In this palette in particular the shadows are almost creamy but they are powders, The palette does fit into my makeup bag but I wish I didn't have to carry all of that with me when i only use 1 or 2 colors.

Quick Take: portable
I bought this online and am not happy with most of the colors. I do like the greens. They all look really rich, but when applied, they are not the richness I expected...more like a drugstore brand. I wish fewer of the colors had shimmer. The case is beautiful, but hard to open. I will make sure to check the other color sets when I'm in the store

This is my 4th Kat Von D palette and I love them all so much. I have beethoven, true love, the 500 point beauty insider palette, and this one of course. This palette is great for everyone because it has browns, greens, golds, and blacks. It has a variety of shimmery, satiny, and matte finishes. Although most of the colors are brownish, I would not consider them neutrals because they are so versatile and intense. You can create so many looks with this palette alone. You can go from day to night, subtle to smokey, and neutral to colorful, depending on the look you're going for. The greens are so gorgeous. Lucifer, the matte black is a universal color that everyone needs to darken up a look and make a smokey eye. The light green is so gorgeous and shimmery and looks great all over the lid. The darker olive green shade works great in the crease or as an eyeliner smudged on the upper and lower lashline. The pale, shimmery gold shade makes a beautiful highlight color for the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes. The light beige shade looks great all over the lid for a natural, bright-eyed look. The medium beige color looks great all over the lid too. The darker coppery bronze color is very shimmery and gorgeous. It really makes the eye color pop and looks great in the crease, as a liner, or all over the lid. The dark matte chocolate brown shade looks great in the crease or as a liner for the upper and lower lashline. The wonderful thing about the browns in this palette is that they are universally flattering for all skintones and eye colors. I love Kat Von D eyeshadows because they are highly pigmented, long lasting, and have a very blendable and easy to work with texture. The palettes are such an amazing value since you get 8 large sized eyeshadows for only $34, which is such a steal, especially considering what great quality they are. The compact is very adorable with a white rose design and it comes with a large, convenient mirror that is perfect for applying eye makeup on the go. It also comes with two eyeshadow brush applicators, although I would not recommend using them. Overall, this is a great palette and I think there is something everyone will enjoy in this palette.

Quick Take: good value, portable, luscious
Bought after I saw demo on youtube using this palette. While I can't duplicate that look, I love the shades in this and use all except the two lightest ones in the middle, they just don't show up on me and one is too glittery for a highlighter IMO. Bonus, they last most of the day on these super oily eyelids of me, which is a definite plus.
Love the colors, the darker green is to die for! Nice amount of makeup for the money.

Quick Take: good value, portable, great color payoff
I was a bit skeptical about getting the palette because it just looked so bland compared to the ones I already have (Metal Orchestra & Gypsy). But god, was I wrong! The colors are absolutely gorgeous! Especially the browns and there's some amazing color payoff. Definetely recommend it. =)

When I first saw thee palette (the ones with the greens and browns) I sad "wow!! whata deal, 8 shades for $36" I honestly love this palette its my "GO TO" palette, thee only thing i was unsatisfied with was the shadow CLAY, it was as if the color wouldn't stay. Maybe its just my eye thats my only negative feedback on thee palette other than that,... what you waiting for?? GO GET IT!!!

I love this palette so much. Kat Von D is an amazing tattoo artist, so when i heard that she had a makeup line for sephora i was completely excited. i looked up reviews on for this and almost everyone raved about it so i knew i had to get it. well im glad i did, i use it almost everyday and absolutely love it. the ludwig is more neutral so that you can use it for everyday looks.

All of Kat's palettes are must haves. But this palette is great because alot of her palettes have dark colors and this one is very neutral. You can build them light or build them to be dark. They are very wearable shades for even the most timid of makeup lovers. Her shadows are pigmented, blendable, wearable, coordinated shades, affordable, everything you could ever want in a palette, Kat has given us.
Keep them coming Kat and Sephora!! And expand the line!

Best eyeshadow ever!- 10.24.09
Quick Take: good value, portable, great price
If you're hesitating on buying this product -- don't! This has the consistency of a MAC eyeshadow. It stays on, the pigments are rich in color, and the best part is to come -- it's a billion times cheaper! One MAC eyeshadow is around 15 dollars. You get 8 of these for 34! On top of that, MAC eyeshadows have about 1.5 grams of shadow in it. Each of these have around 1.3 - 1.4. Pretty much the same. Theres no reason to go buy expensive eyeshadows anymore; Kat Von D has made portable eyeshadow with GREAT quality and and even BETTER price. I have three palettes, and I'm waiting to get my last one in Gypsy Gypsy. It's a great buy, don't miss out!

Amazingly Coordinated Colors- 10.23.09

The colors in this palette are beautiful. Not only are they expertly coordinated in sets of 4 colors for lid/crease/outer v/highlight colors, they are highly pigmented and go on smooth. I barely have to touch my brush to the shadow to get enough color to apply to my lids. Very cute and portable as well. The brushes that come with it suck so I use my own but these would likely be suitable for touch-ups on the go.
