Improve the packaging
-06.13.13
I got this instead of my go to anti-shine gel, urban decay's de-slick in a tube, when my local Sephora was out of UD. The product is pretty comparable to UD, its a little thicker almost like clay so a small amount is required, then smooth it out on your t-zone. Both products are color/fragrance free, great for any skin tone.
My complaint over PTR's product is the packaging! Its hard to get just the right amount out of the top they used and the past couple weeks I keep noticing tiny BLACK dots on my face after I use it- turns out its the lettering on the bottle rubbing off on my fingers when I squeeze it, so annoying. I'd repurchase if the packaging was different. At this point, my next buy will be UD again.

Love it

I recently tried this product and have received many compliments on my makeup looking "different". I have somewhat oily skin, but with this my makeup lasts all day and my skin feels great.

As others have said, it's not really a gel, which makes it kind of hard to apply. But it does work. I'm not sure I would buy it again though.

Amazing Product!!
-03.26.13
This mattifying gel does exactly that... It works wonders for shine control! My face tends to get shiny in my T zone maybe about 2hrs after lunch. I keep this in my purse to control the issue! If also tried mixing it in my palm with a tiny bit of foundation- that works too. Goes on smooth and velvety but finishes light, not heavy. It's a miracle!

Best Anti Shine Product I Have Tried
-03.15.13
Quick Take: does what it says it will
And I have tried them all. You do not need to use much so even though it is a small bottle it lasts. I use it just where I need it & usually under make-up.

Should be voted best Anti-Shine product!
-03.10.13
I purchased this product quite a few years ago and use it everyday under my make-up. I get compliments everyday on how flawless my face looks.
As time has gone on I have tried others and always returned them to Sephora and always went back to my faithful Peter Thomas Roth. Worth every penny!

Great product, bad packaging
-02.24.13
I love this product. I have oily skin in the t-zone and this product has worked the best so far for me. However, it's expensive for it's size. I haven't reached the bottom of the bottle yet, but I fear when that time comes it will be difficult to get much of the product out. It would be better if this product came in a tube.

Keeps the shine to a minimum
-01.13.13
Quick Take: mattefying, minimizes look of pores, smooth finish
I like this. I noticed that it does help to control shine longer than other primers I've used. After applying it and wearing it for two hours with my makeup my skin still looks matte. I do have to touch up in the middle of the day but this is a hardworking little product. Just wish it came in a bigger size.

Fabulous for minimal-makeup days and touch-ups
-01.12.13
I've been using this product on and off for three years. You don't need to use a lot, and it gives skin a matte and satiny finish and can also go over makeup later in the day instead of powder.

IT'S TRUE!
-01.04.13
I have a shiny T zone so tried this product out... It really works! The consistency is thick but when applied, it lightly smooths over the skin's surface and truly mattifies the skin instantly. Sometimes I mix it into my tinted moisturizer or foundation and other times I apply on top. I don't apply if I've just laid powder down- that's the only time it hasn't worked so good. Highly recommended if you need shine control!

great anti-shine mattifying gel
-12.30.12
Quick Take: great anti-shine minimizing pores and wrinkles, great product but the container needs improvement
This is the best anti-shine/minimizing pore gel. I use this products everyday for few years already. The only drawback from this product is the bottle. It's not very user friendly, when it's half empty, it's really hard to get gel out of bottle so I couldn't use until it's all gone. I suggest Peter Thomas Roth switch from plastic bottle to tube. Thanks

Holy Grail Mattifyer
-12.28.12
Quick Take: mattifying
I have been plagued with very oily skin my entire adult life (both a blessing and a curse) and this is the ONLY product (after trying pretty much everything else) that keeps my skin matte and shine-free for 8+ hours. Not only does it give me flawless matte skin but it also reduces the look of pores. The best part is that a little goes a long way so while the initial price investement may seem steep, it will last you for easily a year if not longer.

Not gel consistency
-12.25.12
Quick Take: mattifying
A disappointment. Contents in bottle are lumpy and not at all like a liquid gel. Product is possibly old and formulation changed. Have had other gel mattifiers before (Lancome) that I loved. Unfortunately that product is no longer available. I do not recommend.

My miracle product
-12.25.12
Quick Take: peter thomas roth anti-shine mattifying gel
I have always had an oily T-zone. With this product the shine is gone--for over 24 hours, if you need it. It also minimizes my forehead wrinles. It's a small bottle, but it lasts a long time because you use so little. And it doesn't make you break out.

Anti-shine, not oil absorbing.
-11.26.12
Quick Take: mattifying
This has a cool weird feel when you apply it, but i never feel that the strange soft/slick feeling of the product goes away. It just sits on your skin instead of melting into the skin or being absorbed. I have EXTREMELY oily skin, this product helps with shine, but doesn't help with my makeup sliding off my skin. my skin still develops a sticky, oily, gross feel to the touch after a couple hours. I think this product camouflages oil, it appears matte, but the skin still produces a lot of oil. So, yes it mattifies, but no, it does not control oil

Love this product
-11.07.12
Quick Take: great for oily skin
This gel is great, the way I use it is that i pat it lightly on trouble areas after my bb cream, it lasts all day and keeps me shine free, and makes my skin look airbrushed. The only downside is that you can not touch your face or the product will ball up.
