let me begin by saying that i first came across this product at the Guerlain Spa in NYC when I had a facial there. it's been a hot and extremely humid summer here in the Northeast and my oily skin was maxed out: breakouts galore and unwavering shine. nothing i did seemed to help.
when i described my issues to the aesthetician, she recommended this product. i admit i was very skeptical: a thick day cream moisturizer to help my shiny, extremely oily, broken-out skin? really?
REALLY. within a week my skin calmed down. my skin feels and looks soft and younger. my breakouts dissipated then disappeared, even though the humidity continues to go strong. it's been over a month now and there is a marked visual and textural improvement to the skin on my face overall.
it's a lot more money than i would normally spend, but, my goodness, i will spend it again and again.

I love this product line. It is pricey but I feel it is worth it. A little goes a long way. Leaves my skin feeling silky soft and moisturized. I will absolutely be purchasing again.

I have oily skin but still need some moisturizer when the weather gets cold. Also I almost never pay big money for skincare since I thought they just have good looking jar and smell good. After hearing some good feedback about this stuff, I decided to splash on Guerlain Super Aqua. Well, I must say that this cream is pricey but it is sure worth it. It has more than what I want: a good moisturizer but leaves no sticky/oily feeling. It sinks right into your skin and nourish it, results in smooth, radiant and youthful skin without stripping it off with AHA, retinol...or something like that. It is such a gently treat. Also the cream is a bit cool and smelling like rose. Love it so.

Quick Take: just right
I like this. It smells good & feels good on your skin. I am really likin' all the guerlain products I have purchased this winter. My skin has been so strange the last few years. Really dry yet I get more pimples than when I was a teen. This cream takes away the dry, taught feeling my face gets after a shower but is not too heavy or thick. I would buy it again.

Super Aqua day moisturizer is a light, hydrating moisturizer, but it was nothing that did 'wonders' for my skin. It was hyrdrating, but throughout the day it seemed that it did not absorb well and would flake off in little blue 'flakes' after a couple of hours. I tried wearing after good exfoliation as well, but I wasn't impressed. You're better off saving a bit of money and getting Biotherm's Aquasource.

Guerlain's Day Refreshing Cream is too heavy for my oily skin. At first it felt great, but it caused the oil to come up in no time at all. I ended up using about a whole pack of oil blotting papers that day. I returned it without a second thought.

I have combination skin and many other moisturizers I've tried have left me oily or my skin tight and dry (Lancome, Boscia, Peter Thomas Roth, etc). So far this is the only one that leaves my face feeling hydrated and not oily. It is definitely the most expensive moisturizer I've ever purchased though. Nice scent.

super aqua day is the top of the tops. the only negative point is its price... and its only 35 ml...
