Quick Take: very helpful in reducing breakouts, easy to use, great when googles are used as well

I received the blue light therapy head about two weeks ago. I already owned the device with the red head which i used to maintain younger looking skin. I have been using the blue head for 9 minutes each morning for the past two weeks and have definitely been seeing a decrease in the number of new breakouts. I paid 3000 dollars last year for laser treatments for my acne along with blue light sessions of 20 minutes after each weekly treatment. I had about a year of much clearer skin but right at the one year mark all my acne came back. I decided to go back to blue light treatments but could not afford going to a location and paying. This product definitely appears to work just as well and I am sure with continued use along with my salicylic acid wash and benzoyl peroxide on the few new spots I have, I will be at a much more manageble level-with much less need for makeup to cover and hide. Adult acne is the worst but this definitely seems to be helping and is worth my investment of money and time.

Acne Lights - Very Good!! - 06.14.09
@ 1st I hesitated because of the price...and because I've tried so many things did don't work...I was so surprised -they really do work!! ....& almost immediately!!....I am very happy with this product...definately worth the investment.( I don't use the lotions-just the lights because I use Dr. perscribed Retin A (for Acne) & Hydorquinone (for Hyperpigmentation).

My young son is using this product once a day. It does seem to dry up the acne, but the healing process still takes a couple of days, and by that time, he's broken out with more acne. Shaving off the acne heads, using light, & acne astrigent seem to help.

Quick Take: good for acne prone skin, blue light is friendly on the eyes

I purchased this to test it out along with the system that I already had for the Anti-aging skincare. This blue light head seems to do the job as far as taking care of large acne. It took about a week of using it and the large acne diminished almost to nothing. There were a few small ones that seemed to surface in the process, but eventually they, too, were gone. I had to return this head, however, because I noticed that it was beginning to dry my skin. Perhaps it's because of my age (48) that this was happening. I was also using the anti-blemish serum along with this head. I liked the blue light as opposed to the red light. The blue light didn't bother my eyes like the red light does. The head itself is very easy to attach and detach from the body of the system and easy to clean with kleenx dipped in rubbing alcohol.
