Quick Take: long wearing, soft, glides on easily, beautiful color
I searched for lip liners through the beauty section and was surprised at the scarcity of choice. Beauty is ephemeral. Lip liners are the one constant in my beauty regimen. Yves St. Laurent is very expensive and is worth sacrificing for. The pencil is perfect.

Very versatile

Quick Take: a keeper, quality product
This product has a nice sharp point and goes on smoothly. On me it has lasting power. I have used it with several different colors and it has gone with all of them very well. It is very close to the color of my own lips, but helps with lip sticks that tend to feather.

My Favorite Lipliner

I am an over 50 woman who feels that I need a lipliner even though they are apparently not "in". I find that the YSL no 13 beige nude gives just a hint of liner and keeps my lipstick where it it should be. Not hard on the lips, nor so soft that it becomes runny, just right.

I like this lip liner, it goes on very matte. The thing I don't care for is how thin it goes on, but for some that might be a plus!?

I have purchased two of these YSL lip liners in different shades. Neither one has pleased me. It is a struggle to get them to make a line around the lips, even after they are freshly sharpened. I have gone back to the MUFE brand which I love.

I am a big fan of YSL. Especially the faux cils mascara. If you love the mascara you will love their lip liner. Matched perfectly with my Sephora long lasting. I would recommend this as a amazing fall/winter color. Definitely will make you noticeable!!!

Good but pricey

Quick Take: soft, glides on easily
Sooo I just almost had a heart attack when I realized how much this lip liner is. A sephora employee used it in my makeover, and I bought it along with a buch of other stuff. Unforutnalty I never asked how much it it, thinking it is probably in the teens.....well it is almost $30! It is good, yes. I got the nude color, which looks great on the lips, but I think you could probably find something very similar for half the price.

I love this lip liner!! It's a must have!! Very smooth, but you will have to reapply... Have it in 6 Natural (a light pink) and in 1 Wine (a darker red).

I took a chance. I love YSL lipsticks & glosses. This is a winner. This lip pencil does not need much sharpening. I use it daily & only have to sharpen it about once a week. It lasts a long time on my lips; need to reapply after I eat. I thought the color might be too light, but since the natural color of my lips are light, the 13 nude beige is perfect. It doesn't alter the (red, berry, pink, nude) color of my lipsticks or lip glosses I put over it. I also have the 6 natural, which is too pink for my lips. I'm more limited in the lipstick color choices. The 13 nude beige is well worth the $.

A little goes a long way. I've been using it for over 2 weeks, 2x a day, & still don't need to sharpen it yet. My only complaint is that it's pinker on my lips than I was hoping for.

Awesome color on my olive skin tone

I always wanted a pink color and could never get any liner that suited my olive tone. This one is awesome with the perfect color. I just use the liner with a gloss and don't need a lipstick. Love it. It is also very soft and glides easily. However, it doesn't stay long enough and need to reapply.

Fantastic Lip Liner

I have reviewed many products however this is the first time for a lip liner. I have been using YSL lip liner for many years. This product lives up to the typical YSL standards. It is extremely long lasting and enhances the longivity of your lipstick/lipgloss as well. Additionally, it effectively prevents any bleeding from your other lip products. When I'm in a hurry, I just line my lips then smoosh them together to blend the color and I'm out the door. The color lasts for hours!!! This product is creamy and never gives your lips a dry feeling. If you give this product a try I'm sure you won't be disappoined. #13 is a great color to start with. An excellent neutral that blends well with many shades.

#18 is a true brown. It does not turn orange once applied to lips. This is a very hard pencil and makes it very easy to create a sharp line.

This pencil goes on super easy but does not come off super easy, which is a tough combo to find in lipliners. Only problem is it is a little on the lavendar side versus the rosy nude it is described as. Still works pretty well with pinks.Other problems is it is way pricey compared to other lipliners
