My holy grail mascara

Quick Take: volumizing, defining
This is my HG mascara. It makes my lashes look thicker and longer. The black is extremely dark (it looks a little gray on the wand but is amazing on the lashes), and the texture is creamy and rich. It holds a curl well (I don't notice any curl increase due to the mascara itself, but it doesn't make the curl fall out of my lashes), and it doesn't clump so you can put two or three layers on -- I don't find that I need to, however.
The main reason I got this mascara was for the ball wand, and while the mascara is amazing, the ball wand is really what makes this product the best mascara I've ever tried. I have very, very long blonde eyelashes and the applicator allows me to reach each and every lash. With each of my lashes coated individually, including the little ones in the inner and outer corners, the effect is amazing -- my lashes look long, thick, and very dark, and my eyes seem bigger and brighter.

$30 mascara should not rub off on your eyelids. By the end of the first day wearing it, I looked like a drag queen after a knock-down, drag-out fight. Anywhere my lashes touched-- my skin had mascara smudges. My lashes are long, so it was under my eyebrows and under my lower lashes. Don't bother.

I really like the brush on this mascara, it reaches every lash and doesn't make my super curly lashes more curly. The formula, however, is soooo hard to get off. This isn't a waterproof mascara, but I have to wash at least twice to get it all off. I wouldn't buy this same formula again but I might try a different one with the same brush.

I asked a sales associate to show me a mascara that looked like I had fake eyelashes on. She showed me this one: Givenchy Phenomenon'Eyes Mascara. I LOVE IT! It does define and lengthen my lacking eyelashes and make them look special! HOWEVER... the mascara does something that makes my eyes burn. I put it on exactly how she showed me, but I still experience the burning. They also burn the day after I take the mascara off, too. I really love how it makes my eyes look, though. :(

I wish this mascara stayed on my lashes. I have oily/combination skin and my eyelids tend to get oily throughout the day. This mascara was amazing, it did in one coat what my usual mascara does in 3. Unfortunately it smudges so much! I've tried everything to salvage the find, but to no avail. I had to return it even though it produced lovely results the mascara would not stay on my lashes.

I have tired almost every mascara including European & Asian brands not available in the US. This makes my tiny, straight Asian lashes look like I have on falsies. It real does give it a good curl too. I do not need to curl my eye lashes like I do with other brands. Plus the color is one of the darkest blacks I have ever seen. Definitely not for day time wear unless you want to look like you are wearing falsies to the office.

My va va voom night time dramatic mascara. Makes my eyes look very mysterious and alluring and i love it. I suspect it will stay so very a very long time, i bought it when it first came out, and i don't see me purchasing another glamorous evening mascara anytime soon.

Quick Take: lengthening
This is my go to mascara! I learned how to use the wand by watching a demonstration by a make-up artist. You use it by going back and forth like a windshield wiper across your eyelashes. it picks up all the small hairs in the corner of your eye. Love it!

I love mascara and have tried many of Sephora's top rated/best selling mascaras but I really have nothing good to say about this product. The applicator was very difficult for me to use and I clumped lashes together. I got better with the appicator which stopped the clumping. I did not see volume, maybe lengthening. My lashes looked thin and long. On top of that it smudges like no other mascara I've ever used including drug store products. It would smudge just below my brow bone where my lashes hit when I looked down doing paperwork. Very disappointed for such an expensive product.

I'm not sure if I got a dud or what but i feel like I'm the only one who's kind of on-the-fence about this mascara. It clumped my lashes. I love the darkness of the product but it doesn't really do anything to my lashes. It just loads them down with product and makes them really dark. It looks like my same ol', same ol' lashes except darker. I had high expectations for this mascara, but I'm disappointed.

I tried this mascara based on the reviews, which was a huge mistake. The wand is more like a scary torture device. I was so afraid I was going to poke myself and take my eye out. It does not distribute the product well and is very hard to use. I do not understand what is so revolutionary about this hard to use wand. I had to use it with another expensive mascara. This definitely went back to the store.
