After I first used this mascara I tossed out my drugstore brands. This color is beautiful, not really extreme but enough that you can see the burgundy. It lengthens, makes me look like I have super long eyelashes. It smells pretty applies nicely and it doesn't clump, I will absolutely continue to buy this I'm in love. I especially like the burgundy since I have blue eyes and blonde hair/lashes.

This mascara, while being expensive is very high quality. It doesn't flake, it lasts all day. And has excellent definition. I have been looking for a new mascara with the same quality as the smoky lash mascara from make up forever for cheaper and I would say this is the same quality but obviously more expensive. I would recommend but will not purchase again because I'm determined to find the same quality for under $20.

The other day I put on a drug store brand and lemme just say, and I was reminded that my Yves mascara blows this away. It's literally 10x the lengthening, thickening than ANY other mascara I've ever tried. I have burgundy, which isn't even my fave (oh Sephora, can't you carry the navy color?!) but it's so incredible, it doesn't matter. Definitely worth the price. No question.

I find this mascara to be quite liquid and makes my lashes clump together. Also it's a VERY bright purple. The tips of my lashes are blonde and it almost looks pink. I ended up ordering blinc and like it a lot more.

Quick Take: lengthening, thickening
So, I really wanted to try something new and fun that would show off my green eyes and THIS IS IT! I was hesitant because of the price (yowzas!) and the style of brush, as I typically gravitate toward comb brushes. The actual product is smooth and just slightly on the thick side. But not in a bad way because it glides right on and gives good coverage with the first application. Just remember to wait to do a second coat until the first is dry or it will start to clump. The color is dark and not as bright as it looks on the brush but its really nice and I recommend it to anyone looking for a subtle touch of color!

Nice color and not cartoonish. Removes easily with eye makeup remover and creamy enough to be gentle on the lash. No broken lashes, long wearing, no irritated eyes or skin, the look I want, and easy to remove.

Pretty eyes not just a pretty product

I bought the violet. I have light brown eyes and it really makes them pop. I wear this during the day on the tips of my lashes over my black mascara. It doesn't look purple that way, it just magically makes my eyes stand out more.

I purchased this mascara in black and loved it. Also purchased in burgundy. I guess I was expecting more of a color payoff. It applies the same as the black, but the color is a bit subtle for me. I guess I was expecting more color. Therefore, I am giving it four stars.

Perfect mascara for redheads

Since I have red hair and naturally blonde eyelashes it was always hard to find a mascara that doesnt make my eyelashes look too dramatic and fake. This color is ideal for making my eyelashes look more natural. I also love how long and full this mascara makes them look.

I've been using this YSL burgundy colored mascara for a few years and really like the very subtle color it imparts to my black lashes. And if my makeup gets smudged, it leaves a little bit of soft burgundy smokiness around the eyes -- not a bad thing at all.

I've gone through more tubes of mascara than I can count - and this one is BY FAR the best. No clumps, no flakes, no weird smell. The brush is perfect (for some reason I hate the non-bristle brushes - the ones that are kind of plastic-ish) and my lashes are super soft!

I buy this in the violet (deep purple shade) color. It's less harsh on fair skin. (I have blue eyes) It will enhance any color. It is a bit expensive, but it is an unusual color that can't be found easily. I receive many compliments!
