Good, but not great- 11.11.09
Quick Take: oil-free, long wearing, smooth, pricey, nice scent
As someone with oily skin I've been actively seeking a foundation that doesn't make my problem worse. The YSL oil-free Matt Touch Foundation allows me to go hours without looking like I'm melting (unlike other foundations I've used in the past). Other reviewers have mentioned flaking but I've yet to experience that issue.
The downsides of this product are the lack of coverage and price. I could get past the price if the product was better but I have somewhat uneven skin tone (I have issues with redness due to previous and current acne problems) and I felt this foundation didn't solve my problem that much.
If you ALREADY have "good" skin I recommend this.

Wonderful, unique product- 11.09.09
Quick Take: oil-free, long wearing
This foundation has a texture that resembles a gel, so it goes on lightly, blends easily and doesn't feel at all greasy or heavy on the skin. In fact it is weightless - yes somehow gives great coverage for my ruddiness and broken capillaries! I don't have any problems with flaking that other reviewers mention. Wears well and works beautifully!

Great Concept...Lacking in some areas- 10.21.09

I bought this less than a week ago, I love the texture and matte finish it gives but today I noticed when I put it on that it did indeed flake off. I thought it was left over pieces of cotton from toning my face. But I didn't use a primer this time and I think I didn't use enough of the foundation so it didn't go on a smoothly. Also, I notice if you pick at your face before hand (which leaves cracks in the skin) this does amplify the uneven texture of your skin, but I find that with other foundations. So I am not deterred and will continue to find ways to make this foundation look the best it can. Overall it is a good mattifying foundation.

this is a great foundation for my very oily, acne prone skin. i have tried just about every foundation out there and this is by far the best! i use the matt touch primer with it and it's great, too. give it a try..you won't be sorry!

I've used this now for a couple of weeks. I can find no fault with it except maybe the price. but its doing the job so i'm ready to sacrifice to buy it again. it covers and it lasts all day. it looks smooth and natural. i'm in love with it.

I have very oily skin and have tried for 20 plus years to find a foundation that doesnt look cakey or oily on my face. Matt Touch was suggested to me by a makeup artist. She was soooo right. What lovely makeup. It has a light texture and gives good coverage. It does not oxide or make my face look cakey by the end of the day. Hallelujah, hallelujah!! Thanks YSL!!!!

This is a great foundation that doesn't look cakey or streaky. The "sand" color is terrific for fair/light skin; it adds just the right touch of color without looking too dark or orangey. The finish stays matte all day without looking dry.

This is my favorite foundation! A little moisturizer and a dab of Matt Touch and I'm good to go. The coverage is light to medium depending how you apply. It stays put all day and blends SO smoothly. Its matte finish keeps me from shining in the T zone but doesn't dry out my normal areas. I'm a fair girl with a bit of a tan and Sand works out great.

This foundation is absolutely amazing! I have very sensitive/complicated skin with large pores and a very oily t-zone and this foundation not only evens out your skin tone but shrinks the large pores and provides a mattifying effect with out over drying! Love it!

I've been looking for a matte foundation for several years now (that actually works) and I can finally say, I've found "the one". The silky texture of this foundation makes applying this a breeze. I like it that it's not heavy, that it fills in my pores, and stays put all day. I only have to touch up once a day. Once it sets, my complexion looks flawless (do note, that I brush a little bit of mineral powder over my face, too).
