I finally found a powder i like. I have nice skin ... all i need is a tinted moisturizer. Finding a powder that doesn't look like im wearing something. I was using mineral makeup and it was nice for special occasions but didnt like it for everyday use. This is exactly what i wanted. It feels so nice on! Because i can;t see it. Plus my skin feels nice. Love IT!
This powder has almost no color to it and is non drying. It is perfect for setting my foundation. I have oily skin and moderate to mild acne, so using a powder is a must to fight shine and to set foundation. The powder might be a bit too sheer to use alone over moisturizer if you are looking for coverage. Also, the case is beautiful and includes a mirror.
I'm usually not a powder fan, but I really like this one. It's very light without looking chalky and doesn't strip the dewy finish I like from my tinted moisturizer. It has something in it that gives you a nice sheer finish but makes it a little sparkly??? Not in an obvious way, but a good way.

Quick Take: sheer coverage, lightweight
This powder gives a lovely, sheer finish which allows your natural skin tone to shine through. This is perfect if you're looking for a slightly polished finish without looking airbrushed. If you like more coverage or prefer a more made-up look, this is probably not the powder for you.
I love how lightweight it is. Generally I can see powder on my face easily. This one actually blends in nicely and doesn't look cake-y or chalky. I prefer applying it with a kabuki brush but the included pad is decent for on-the-go touchups.
It is never easy to find a product that is good ON you and good FOR you, and does every label claims it does. This is perfect product for touch-ups (very easy to apply and need very little), that absorbs oil in my T-zone. Even though, its on a pricey side, I expect it to last for quite some time, as very little goes a long way. And the finish is beautiful, not dull and does not look like you are wearing make-up at all. Works well on bare skin too! Highly recommended.

Compact design faulty- 08.08.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
The actual powder was fine - I would say nothing exceptional compared to other brands. I would have kept it but the compact would not close after the foam puff was placed inside the compactr. Combined with previous experience and a busy life plus concern of bacteria - I did not have the patience to use a product that does not close properly and is left open to flake into the my make up bag and to easily gather bacteria. I already have challenges with break out and did not want to risk this product plus spend 30 some $$ on a product that was going to frustrate me. I need a product that is easy to use and carrying a separate type of powder applicator does not work for me. I returned the product.

Beautiful- 07.23.09
Quick Take: nice texture soft color
Since I'm trying to make the switch to more organic and less chemical products, I thought I'd give this a try. It gives a very velvety texture, although i wouldn't call it matte or very shine-controlling, but let's face it, that looks like a mask anyway and it's summertime. I get compliments on my skin even with breakouts.

Quick Take: sheer coverage
This powder is very sheer and very translucent, looks a little bit chalky on my face. I have an oily t-zone and this powder is not very oil-absorbing and shine reducing. I just got Sephora oil-free double compact mineral powder SPF 10 and I like it much more.Also, it costs less, only $22. I am considering returning this $30 powder.

Great to control shine, very natural. Worked well even on my very shiny t-zone.
Josie Maran's pressed powder is excellent. I have very oily skin and this powder has definite oil-absorbing properties that keeps the shine at bay for hours. I still have to use oil blotting sheets, but not near as often with this powder. I use this as a finishing / setting powder over my foundation and it gives a nice matte, silky finish. I use a stippling brush to apply over my foundation which helps to give it that airbrushed finish. The only thing about this powder is that it doesn't do real well for touchups once the oil has started breaking through...it tends to look cakey. But it holds real well through the oil blotting sheets so I really don't need to touch up with the powder itself. This is an excellent powder...worth every penny.

Quick Take: reduces shine, translucent finish
This is the best pressed powder ever! It has a very nice translucent finish that is natural looking because of the slightly beige color that does not end up looking cakey like other powders. Highly recommended for those who want a sheer powder to take away shine.
