Pretty Pearls- 06.17.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
This illuminating pressed powder is so cute :) I love the different tones and colors, plus they all are packaged so cute! Plus, who knew that this helps under eye circles disappear and giving you a luminous glow.

For a look that's out of this world- 05.28.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
This product does what it says it does and more. The colors meld together and then radiate on the skin. I don't know what Guerlain does that is different from other brands, but this product makes the skin tones have a universal glow--one that is subtle and yet catches the eye, making the skin look young and fresh. The compact is twice the price, so this product gives the same look at 1/2 the price.

Meteorites beige- 05.27.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I like this one better than the original. I find the original to be a little too "white" for my face. Not every white face looks good with "whitening". This color is not. It still shows as illuminating, but with a slight beige color.

Very nice, but not great for shine- 05.22.09
Quick Take: color correcting pink
The color of this works great for me, since I have super pale skin, and I tend to look "dead" without a pink powder base. I do like this powder, though I will also need something else to help with shine, as this does not help at all for that. In fact, the irridescent look makes the shine factor slightly greater, but it does make me look more "alive".

Just okay- 05.21.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I have VERY fair skin that is really clear to begin with. I was just looking for a product that would really make me glowy. Well, I was not that impressed with this powder, and decided to return it. It is good, and smells nice, but made my skin look a bit chalky, which is something that I see a lot of when using powders. I will be returning it.
Ok I am changing my mind.... 3 weeks ago I gave this product a very negative review because I found it to give me a ghostly effect. It looked too pale on my bare skin. On my bare skin, it didn't give me me the even tone that everyone raved about. It just looked ghostly and shimmery. Well over the past few weeks I have been trying it over my liquid foundation and it is absolutely perfect, beautiful, luminous, and amazing. I think in my case since I have pale skin, I need to pair it with a nice foundation to get the full even effect (I use Neutrogena even-tone liquid foundation that is slightly a shade darker than my skin). Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder is an AMAZING FINISHER. I normally have redness on and around my nose, and when I sweep this product on my nose after I have applied foundation it creates a goregeous even finish that lasts ALL DAY!! Also, when I sweep it under my eyes after I have applied under-eye concealer, it creates a soft luminous glow under my eyes that makes them pop. Incredible. This is worth the money. When I think of all the money I have spent over the years on pharmacy powders that are matte or pore-clogging, I realize that this pricetag is totally worth it because I don't know how I lived without it. My skin looks like a million bucks. When I leave the house everyday I feel like I look presentable, finished, and pretty. Thank you Guerlain. This summer when I am in the sun I plan to sweep it over my Proactive sheer tinted SPF 15, and I am sure I will have this perfect even glow even when I am at the beach. Whoo hoo!!!!

Advice- 05.10.09
First of all, it would be great it before writing a review, people would mention which colour they bought.
I had the first one ('Mythic') - just like the balls of this colour - it does nothing to my pale skin. However, i love the 'beige' one as it gives soft hint of tan, which looks so natural on my skin! Love it! The only problem is the price which hurts the wallet :)

Makes me look pale- 05.07.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I ordered beige 03. I am blonde with fair to medium skin, and I am always on the lookout for something that will give me a healthy warm glow. I hate being pale. The reviews for this product were amazing so I finally gave in to the CRAZY pricetag and asked my husband to buy this for me for Mother's Day, with the matching Meteorites brush of course. Unfortunately it seems to give me a "ghostly" glow. Something about it gives me a very subtle pearly-white cast to my skin. I can understand why some women like it... it is pretty luminous and beautiful, but like i said I hate to look any more pale than I already am. When I brush the product onto my face, my face looks noticeably paler than my chest and neck. I am wondering how this product will look on my face this summer when I get a tan. In the dead of winter I probably would like this paired with a rosy lip gloss. The smell is delicious... it's like candy violets. Maybe I will keep it and I will learn to like it.

I love this pressed powder and it is long lasting, but I haven't decided yet if it is worth the price.

Great- 04.13.09
Makes the skin look fantastic - the only minus is price for the amount of product (uses much faster than the powder balls).

Good product; VERY sheer coverage- 04.05.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
Product was NOT glittery as some reviews stated; top layer did have some shimmer, but the majority of the product is not shimmery at all. Coverage is VERY sheer, so there is no cakey affect like with some powders.
Since I'm on a budget (and this powder is fairly expensive) I was worried that it might not live up to the hype. But it's now a permanent fixture in my makeup bag. I don't know how it works, but it simply evens out your skintone, minimizing the look of imperfections and concealing redness. My skin hasn't looked this perfect since I was a kid! This really does make a visible difference and is well worth the splurge. It also has a very delicate violet scent to it which adds to the luxuriousness of the product.

Not for me- 03.23.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I liked the idea of this, but it has too much sparkle. This is more of a highlighting powder than a powder to be worn alone.
this product can even out my skin tone, it really works! the best finishing powder ever!

Average powder...- 02.02.09
Guerlain's Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder did basically nothing for me. I tried it as a highlighter and as a luminizer. I tried it all over my face and I tried it on strategic spots, but basically no matter what I tried I just didn't get any good results from this powder. I guess it's just not for me.

Glow within- 01.18.09
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine, glows
I was argueing with myself if I should buy this product at all, and I was searching for a highlighter which wouldn't be too shimmery and I have found it! I have fair Asian skin and this the myth parfait gives me a perfect runway glow and it makes my face look awake! It's quite expensive but wayyyyy worth the money! You don't even need makeup, just dust it on and people will just focus on looking at the radiance you have on your face!
I've used several Guerlain products and like them for the most part! This powder gives a nice sheer coverage. I bought the mythic parfait one with the green in the middle for counteracting redness, which actually did little for the redness...although I like the coverage....i agree with the reviewer that likes the regular meteorites beads it's much better.I also bought this one for travel. the scent is a little strong but not horrible many Guerlain products have a fragrance!!!!

Lovely Finishing Touch- 01.02.09
Quick Take: balancing & lightening
I know that today the look leans more towards "fresh," but being in my late 40's, I come from a time when a soft, matte finish to a complexion was most desired. This powder does the trick without ever looking chalky or "powdery." Personally, I prefer the sister product, Meteorites Powder For The Face, but I purchased this one for travel, or for carrying in my purse or cosmetic bag.

Skin gets dry and old looking- 12.29.08
Quick Take: reduces shine
It was my first Guerlain purchase of Meteorites. Despite many others love them, my combination skin gets older look after applying it because it gets dry. Not a good size for a compact-too big of useless space, and not even has a mirrow inside. On a plus side-it is not illuminates much. I didn`t use any primer or foundation as I don`t like heavy makeup; for those who does apply it, it can be a different story. Not a keeper for me, unfortunately.
