What it is:An illuminating pressed powder. What
it does:The latest member of the Meteorites family,
Guerlain Meteorites Pearls Compact draws its inspiration
from the classic pearl. This high-tech powder
accentuates light, conceals blemishes, and brings out
radiance, without shine. What else you need to know:Each
compact contains an array of four complementary shades
that create a luminous glow, the correcting color in the
center can be used to conceal redness, cover blemishes,
or tone down dark undereye circles. Swirl on the
corresponding matte and pearlescent hues to touch up
your look with a subtle iridescence.
i really love this powder....it is light but covers great for a smooth finish and brightens your complexion at the same time...the only complaint i have is that i wish it had a powder puff/or brush and mirror in the compact for a quick touch up during the day!

AMAZIN'- 11.02.09
Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine
I was hesitant to purchase this product because of the price...i think it was around $55 or $60...ouch! BUT IT IS SOOO WORTH IT! This is what Smashbox, Bare Essentuals, Pur Minerals strive to be! Ladies, no matter what your skin tone...this will make your skin appear as if you have a natural glow. Not shinny, glittery, sparkly...just eminates a glow. SOOO worth the price!
I have the loose powder ball version in Beige and wanted to try this in Mythic so that I would have two color variations and a powder I could travel with. I am fair to light complexioned and both color versions work for me. The Beige gives me a slight glow so I don't look like death and I was worried that Mythic would be too light but I love it too! The first usage was too glittery but after that time I haven't had that problem. It gives me a semi-matte, slight glow without being garish/sparkly.It works great to finish and set your makeup without looking makeupy. Lastly the packaging is gorgeous and is a fabulous treat to take out, use, and admire.

Too Sparkly/Glittery- 10.23.09
Quick Take: sparkly and glittery
I really wanted to fall in love with this, but it's just not happening....far too glittery for me. I don't find that it gives me a "glow" as other reviewers have described it - I feel like i'm wearing something my 13 year old daughter would wear - way too sparkly for a 45 year old...i'm just not comfortable in it....has lovely scent though :-)

I love this product...Its such a great powder and gives you a subtle glow. The price scared me at first, still think its a little too much, but the plus is that it lasts a long time.

Better than the meteorites (and I like them a lot)- 09.29.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, reduces shine
I love this pressed powder. I am fair and tried the beige and it works very well with my foundation. I am well pleased with this product.
I got this in the 01 color. I think it smells great, and gives your face a luminous sheen. I don't think that it was ever too glittery or too shimmery, but it just gives that finishing touch to a look. I use it with the meteorites brush and it goes on perfectly. I would definately recommend, if only it wasn't so expensive I would try the other colors!

Slate- 08.29.09
Quick Take: reduces shine
I just bought this liner in Slate to go with more of my blue colored eye shadows. I think that it's an okay liner, but I have used ones that I liked more. I can't seem to get more of a thin line, it always goes on as a thick line. It does go on very smooth and I like that a lot, and it smudges really easily, but if you smudge too much it will completely wipe off the liner. It definately not my favorite liner, but I will continue to use with certain eyeshadows.
This powder is so fine and glows very naturally! It seems to control oil better than most oil-control powder, although it doesn't advertise for that function. It may be a bit dry for those with dry skin.

Best in show.- 08.05.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, reduces shine
First let me start by saying that the pressed powder is a 100 times more convenient than the pearls. The pressed powder does the same job (if not better) and you don't have to struggle with the case as you would with the pearls. Also, i get the impressed that you waste less product.
This is a daily must for me, my last step. I just brush it all over my face. It's unifies everything and makes it more matte. It's also illuminating, as the name tell us, but it's not too much. It gives that dewy, glowy look.
When you first open the case, you'll notice that its really has lots of luster. I was worried I would have a same intense effect on my face, but don't let that scare you, one stroke of a brush and that luster is gone.

Spectacular!!!- 07.27.09
I would give this 6 stars if I could! My favorite new makeup purchase in a long time, and I am a makeup junkie. It smooths out and perfects imperfections!

Quick Take: sheer coverage
For the $70 I paid for this, I'm mostly satisfied with this product. I love how this powder is shiny & gives your skin a radiant glow when applied. But I don't think it's worth the $70, there's nothing special about this luminizer - besides that it smells good & of the name.
This illuminator works great for me. Gives a glowing radiance without the cheap looking shine that so many other products give. I am going to buy the 02 shade for the summer time as this 01 shade is a bit light for my summer tan.

love the compact- 07.12.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, luminious
I have the loose pearl version and I got this for travel. It's a bit more shimmery than the loose pearls.. but I love them both. I've been trying various things to make my skin look luminous and this Guerlain is the ultimate one. Love it!
I don't use foundation. I usually just put on my SPF lotion then I does on some translucent powder to cover the shine. And being shiny is definitely not the same as glowing. This is great!

This illuminating pressed powder is so cute :) I love the different tones and colors, plus they all are packaged so cute! Plus, who knew that this helps under eye circles disappear and giving you a luminous glow.

For a look that's out of this world- 05.28.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
This product does what it says it does and more. The colors meld together and then radiate on the skin. I don't know what Guerlain does that is different from other brands, but this product makes the skin tones have a universal glow--one that is subtle and yet catches the eye, making the skin look young and fresh. The compact is twice the price, so this product gives the same look at 1/2 the price.

Meteorites beige- 05.27.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I like this one better than the original. I find the original to be a little too "white" for my face. Not every white face looks good with "whitening". This color is not. It still shows as illuminating, but with a slight beige color.

Very nice, but not great for shine- 05.22.09
Quick Take: color correcting pink
The color of this works great for me, since I have super pale skin, and I tend to look "dead" without a pink powder base. I do like this powder, though I will also need something else to help with shine, as this does not help at all for that. In fact, the irridescent look makes the shine factor slightly greater, but it does make me look more "alive".

Just okay- 05.21.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage
I have VERY fair skin that is really clear to begin with. I was just looking for a product that would really make me glowy. Well, I was not that impressed with this powder, and decided to return it. It is good, and smells nice, but made my skin look a bit chalky, which is something that I see a lot of when using powders. I will be returning it.
