I would go to the ends of the earth to find this product. I live a country life, but when I go out, I need some quick and pretty, natural-looking polish that is gentle on the nails.. This is the best there is for an active woman who doesn't have hours for a full-blown manicure, but wants a touch of elegance on demand.

This product is just a thin white nailpolish, that doesn't even apply evenly. Not what I thought it was at all. If you're looking for something to help give your nails brightness look elsewhere.

This product does not brighten nails...I tried using the thinnest possible coat, but I can see the white streaks on my nails regardless of how much I use.

Disappointing product

The Brightener Nail Treatment by OPI was not really what I expected. The formula is a liquid(y), thin consistency which results in a streaky, uneven application. I thought the texture would be more like a base coat.
I applied a thin layer to my bare nails today. It helps somewhat to cover the orangish tint left on my nails from wearing color all the time. So my nails looked a bit even overall, but since this Brightener goes on streaky, my nails don't really look 100% beautiful.
This is one of those "glad I tried it, but won't buy it again" products.

I got this because I adore OPI's lighter shades (such as The Way TuTu His Heart) but have a problem with the lighter shades streaking. This does seem to take care of that problem.

I really wanted to like this product because it was by OPI but it does not perform well at all. It is streaky alone and when you put polish over it you get streaks in that as well. Sorry, not a repeat.

Sephora by OPI Nail Treatment - Brightener is really good. I like to change my polish almost daily, because so many polishes are now fast drying. In order to save time, I don't usually bother with a base coat, since it would only add to drying time. This Brightener leaves my nails looking really healthy. In the summer, it's nice to go without polish occasionally, and this Brightener is a great way to help my nails look great.

Great sheer color but dull

Quick Take: easy to apply
The color looks like it has a purplish iridescence to it in the bottle, but you don't see that when applied to the nails. It's a very sheer color, so this is great if you just need a base color to make your nails look healthy. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't have a shiny finish and actually looks very dull like you accidentally rubbed the nail before it drying so I apply a clear coat on top. I don't know if this 'brightener' helps decrease yellow nails, but it helps lighten them a bit if the nail polish is on. Also, do let it dry completely before applying another coat, as it does streak.

Painting my nails yellows them, like most people. However, when I use this as a base coat, that doesn't happen! It's great, and as an added bonus, it makes my polish last longer.

When I saw this, I bought it without a second thought.... 2 weeks later, I was like "wait, how do I even know it's going to work?" Polishing my nails every week really yellowed my nails and I hope this did what it was suppose to do. There were no instructions so I had to guess.... 2 tries later and I realized a SUPER thin, non-existence coat is what I suppose to do. After 2 days I took off the polish and looked at my nails.... a little brighter... so I did another thin coat and let it stay another 2 days and then took it off. I did this 3 times... and my nails are not as yellow anymore.... it works.... just on a turtle slow pace.

I had extremely yellow nails after letting a green polish stay on for too long and decided to get this. Worked great and the opaque whitish/yellowish color did not bother me. I took it off after 2 or 3 days and my nails looked great with not a hint of yellow.

I love a product that does what it is supposed to do! One coat of this nail brightener makes your nails look clean and healthy, great for between manicures. As other reviewers have noted, 2 coats looks murky. I suggest using OPI Hydrator as a base followed by the Brightener for a really polished look in minutes. Looks a little like a French manicure and lasts all week!

I'm very pleased with this product - I needed a polish that I could wear with professional suits without being too bold with color, or too subtle like clear nailpolish, and this is just perfect for everyday wear. It also lasts a long time without chipping, which is great for busy women on the go. Highly recommended.

Quick Take: a waste of money.
I wish I could give it no stars. This is the last time I will buy something based on the recommendation of a Sephora employee. I'm not sure why this is a "brightener," it's really just an off-white with a pearl finish. The problem is, it's not a completely solid color so it just looks sloppy and gloopy unless you do 3 coats. Rather than making your nails look shiny and "fresh," they end up looking dirty and dingy. I hope they will take it back. Sephora used to carry a really great product - hardening and strngthening serum. It was a purple-ish clear coat that really did make your nails look "bright." Unfortunately, they seem to have discontinued it... too bad.
