Quick Take: good for shine/gray hair
This really makes gray hair shiny and beautiful! I only use it once or twice a week, as it does tend to be drying.
My only complaint is the packaging. I wish they had a traditional squeeze bottle like most shampoos. It's hard to take the cap off, pour, etc. But the product delivers and is just great!

Quick Take: brightens grey
I was disappointed that my local stores (DFW area) no longer carry this. I had to get it on-line. This makes getting grey easier as it brightens those strands.

Not just for grey!

I have "ombré" highlights with my natural dark golden blonde hair color on top and blonde on the ends. A year ago I had crayola red hair, so my highlights were starting to look extremely brassy. I was recommended not to purchase this by several staff members at both Sephora and Bluemercury. I use the phyto line and I am familiar with purple shampoos from when I was platinum, so I went against their advice and gave it a shot anyway. It is by far the best toning shampoo I have ever used. My natural color now glistens and my blonde is bright and brass free. I rarely write reviews but being that the product is not advertised for my shades of hair color I thought I would share my great experience!

Most whitening for platinum hair!

I've tried a LOT of high-end shampoos in an attempt to make my salon-platinum hair as close to white as possible. Although I agree that the formula is quite runny, it makes a NOTICEABLE difference if I leave it on for 3-5 minutes (you won't see much in the way of results if you just apply and rinse.) I sometimes mix it with a more viscous shampoo to help it last longer, and you really must use a good conditioner afterward. At the end of the day, it's my favorite for color maintenance and enhancement.

This product really brightens your white hair to make it appear like a highlight. Leaves hair super soft and in my case, super curly for a couple of days. Wouldn't use more than once a week.

Quick Take: gentle, a great shine product for grey/white hair
I don't have a lot of grey, but I like to use this shampoo once or twice a week because it makes my grey (which is actually white) really shine. It sets it off against my dark brown hair.. It is a runny shampoo, so be careful when you pour it out. People complained here about the smell. I like it. It is kind of grapefruity. Not bad at all. I am so happy to have found this shampoo. As my hair transitions to increasing grey, I know it will always look great!

I found that this product is effective and meets my needs. It brightens my hair removes yellow tones. I only use it once or week or so. It might be too drying if used more often.

Great for silver or white hair

Quick Take: a little runny but it does what its supposed to
I recently grew out my dyed hair and am trying to make my silver look as good as possible. This stuff really works, my white hair around my temples sparkle after shampooing with this shampoo. It is a bit thin, but all these blue shampoos (and I've tried several) are thin, so be careful the first time. And don't use it more than once a week or you end up with blue hair. But it works, pure and simple. I wish the lid were a flip top, my only complaint.

I tried to shampoo out of my hair. Still changed texture of my hair. Went to my stylist and she could feel the difference even though I did not mention shampoo change. Will not use again.

Quick Take: gentle
I lemon-juiced my hair to a yellow shade, but after a while the yellow got old. I wanted to achieve a white shade without bleaching my hair. An online source told me to try a purple or blue shampoo, so I walked into Sephora and was immediately recommended this product. After about 4 washes, my hair was of a desirable white shade. I didn't have to bleach my hair after all :) The only downside about this product is the price.

Quick Take: gentle, foamy, not good to use too often., use a good moisturizing conditioner.
My hair has definitely gotten whiter and shinier from this shampoo. With chemically treated hair I tend to be a little careful about what shampoos I use, but this is gentle although a little drying. A cautious note; use sparingly. My hair had a definite blue tinge at first. The chrome evens out after shampooing with a regular conditioning shampoo. But the white hair looks platinum. I am pleased and love it..

My hair is silver and white and I have well water, with high mineral content. No matter what I have tried my gray hair has always had a yellow cast untill I started using Phytoargent shampoo. It has become my only shampoo. My hair, especially around my face just seems to get brighter and brighter.

I use this once a week or so to tone down the brassiness on my highlighted hair. It doesn't smell great and it takes a while to get used to the consistency, but I don't mind those things because it's more important to me to not have yellow-ish hair!

I usually buy this shampoo for my mother who has completely white uncolored hair. It takes away the yellow color. As a result, her hair is silvery shiny white.
I tried 'stealing' this shampoo from her once and used it for myself. I have brown colored hair. This shampoo took away the brassiness, which is always a plus in by book.
For all of you trying this product for the first time, make note that this shampoo is blue (just like ink) and very runny, but it works GREAT!

I buy this shampoo for my mother. Her hair is all natural pure white. This shampoo does not let her hair turn yellow. It gives a nice silvery sheen.
