I have long been looking for a greatly looking matte that feels good on the eye. I use this color every single day as a highlight on my brow bone and upper lid. I like that it feels good on my skin (as all clinique products do) and blends well with my skin tone.
I think it provides a nice, subtle highlight to my eyes so that I look natural but still put together.

Quick Take: natural-looking, smooth
I bought this in French Vanilla -- perfect neutral shade, not too white, not too pink. I couldn't give it 5 stars however, because I don't find it to be long-wearing as described. It fades rather quickly, even with primer underneath.

strange uneven application

I loved the color of this eye shadow when I purchased it, but was disappointed when I applied it to my outer crease and it was dark on top and didn't show up in the crease. I tried applying it with a brush, the applicator included, and my finger, but it never went on evenly. This isn't a blend able or pigmented product.

I have the Stone Violet color and its okay. Its not very long lasting even with primer. The color also isn't very dark once applied, and it wears off very quick.

i returned french vanilla because it came out yellow-ish on my fair skin. the color was even though and the product was high quality. should have checked in the store before purchasing, i only didn't because there wasn't a sample out.

I purchased Denim. Nothing "denim" about it. It's more of a very dark charcoal - almost black. Hated the color! I was looking for a blue a little deeper color than Clinique's Colour Surge Eye Shadow Super Shimmer in Blue Lagoon. Big waste of my money! I'll keep looking.

Stone violet too red in hue

I bought Stone Violet because I had purchased it in Clinique's cream shadow, but this version is a bit too red in undertone; it looks more pink-violet than blue- or brown- violet. It definitely makes me green eyes look greener, but against my pale skin and red hair, it gives me too much of a ruddy-eyed look. It does stay the day, however, for better or worse.
