I have 5 different Laura Mercier shadows/eye liners in my cosmetic drawer that look identical unless you open them. I bought this and put in 3 that I use every day. Much more convenient. I wish you could buy the shadows/eye liners without the case--would be less wasteful and hopefully less expensive.

Quick Take: nice for organization
I purchased this to organize the many separate LM eyeshadow compacts I have in my makeup bag. Even though this only took care of three of them, it is still nice to be able to put the ones I use the most in a single, easy-to-find compact. The only gripe I have is that it's a little large, making it awkward in my hands. Also, not all of my colors were compatible--you'll want to be sure you have at least three shadows that are removable from their single cases for this to be of any use.

Good but needs an aplicator storage

Very pleased with the convenience of taking my eyeshadow with me, however there's no place to store an applicator for touch ups ... so then have to carry separate brushes or applicators. It's easy to use and switching out colors is super quick.

EASY WAY 2 CREATE PALETTE FILLED WITH MY FAVORITES

Quick Take: allows me to create the perfect palette for me, keeps favorites all in one place
I've been depotting and repotting eye shadows and liners and blush for years, creating my own customized palettes. I'm so glad that manufacturers have recently been offering consumers products that fit into specialized palettes. It works so much better than trying to depot a shadow (sometimes by melting glues with blow dryers) and then sticking the potted shadows into magnetized trays. It looks much better, too, when a product fits exactly into a space its exact same size. Laura Mercier's Custom Eye Compact fits shadows, liners, and blushes perfectly. LM makes two empty palettes - a three well and a six well - although the three well is apparently the only currently available at Sephora at the time of this writing. While I prefer at least four wells (a shadow, highlighter, liner, crease/darker shadow), three wells may be all you personally need, especially if you use a primer that doubles as a highlighter, such as some of the UD Primer Potions. When I use a six well palette, I can add an additional liner for a total of two liners, a shadow that can double as highlighter, and three additional shadows, including a lighter shade, a mid-range shade for lids, and a darker one that can be used for lids, crease, and/or liner. LM's excellent Tightline Cake Eye Liner fits into these palettes perfectly.
I'm really pleased with these Custom Eye Compacts. It makes travel a breeze, and it's also a nice way to have products I use more frequently in one compact, in one place.

Just what I needed - I don't understand why all cosmetics companies don't make something like this so that you can just buy the eyeshadow colours you want and still end up with only one case for your shadows ... and then they're all colours that you'll actually use!

It would great if all my Laura Mercia products could be transferred to the compact case, but it turns out that only 1 of the 3 items i wanted to put in it are "removable" from their original cases. So, check your products to make sure they can be popped out of their original cases before invest in this little compact.

Very, very handy! I filled one well with eye liner, another with shadow and another with blush. I pack it with travel brushes and it works fabulously. I also use everyday--makes getting ready quick and easy!

I love Laura Mercier custom eye compact it eliminates the clutter in my makeup bag. and I can customize the color trios IE: day eyeshadow & night eyeshadow. I also love the mercier eye shadow I find it stays true to the colors I use without changing color during the day.
