Quick Take: lengthening
I know it's not supposed to be waterproof, but it is less so than your average mascara. Don't even try to use it on your bottom lashes, as you are guaranteed purple raccoon eyes. I like it enough that I would buy it again though. It's worth it just for all the complements on how pretty and green my eyes are. It's not super obvious that you're wearing mascara, it's very natural. And the plum color is not in your face, you cant even tell it's purple when it's on. But you can see that it enhances your eyes. I love it, and will continue to use. If you have green or hazel eyes, buy it, and enjoy the complements.

Quick Take: subtle
Benefit products consistently impress me, but this failed to do so. This mascara is so subtle that you can barely tell its there. At the start, my tube was also extremely dry and took a solid 3-4 coats for any visible coverage. While the color is nice, I don't think its worth the price.

Quick Take: lengthening
i love benefit so much, i use almost all there products, and i even do my brows at the browbar, the lady suggested to me that i have such lovley green eyes that purple would make them pop! and i agreed, (i've heard this all my life, friends, family, magazines) so i bought it and twenty something dollars later i realized the plum wasent bright, it was very dull almost brown and make my eyes less vibrant if any effect at all. it did make my lashes long, but the color-eye-popping effect is just a sales gimmick.

I was so excited to use this product. Plum mascara is supposed to make blue eyes pop, but I did see much difference. I have very light colored eye lashes that are very thin, but I've got a lot of them. So when I put it on at first, it's a deep purple, which I was expecting, but as it dried it turned dark and just looked like normal mascara. The reason I bought this mascara was for the plum color, and it looked just like black/brown to me. Also, the brush is kinda difficult to use on my lashes, so the mascara would turn cakey after applying two coats, and the brush didn't seperate my lashes either.I was so excited to use this, too. I'm happy with the formula, just the color and brush were disappointing. I will be exchanging this for different mascara.

This product seemed to slide right off my lashes. I ended up with purple racoon eyes, even after using a lash primer. Just didn't work for me.

I bought a brand new tube of this and was excited to use it because I love plum colored mascaras on my hazel eyes. This was horrible, I was disappointed because I normally like Benefit products. The mascara was really dry and I couldn't get it to coat my lashes nicely no matter how much I used on my lashes. Once I got some on it was barely noticeable and proceeded to flake all day. This is going back for sure!

Great Alternative to Brown & Black Mascaras

Quick Take: defining
The plum shade is very subtle which makes it a perfect choice when black is too intense and brown doesn't match your coloring. I have very dark brown hair which is often confused for black so I usually use black mascara (as brown is too light for my eyelashes and I think it looks weird when your eyelashes are lighter than your eyebrows & hair). I wanted a mascara that thickened and defined my eyelashes without darkening them - and I found it in this mascara. It does a lovely job of making my eyelashes look naturally dense. The brush is a little larger than I prefer and the formula seems drier than the regular BADgal but it's possible that I just got an old tube. If you really want to plum to pop, I'd recommend layering Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum underneath.

Love this mascara. It adds amazing length and makes the blue in my eyes pop. It creates good definition so it's still fairly natural looking. Great purchase

I wanted to love this one, and for the most part I do, but it has one fatal flaw; it migrates to my under eye area, making me look like a zombie. I love the color, it looks so good with my hazel eyes, and the brush is nice and easy to use. But it is def. not waterproof, and if I rub or touch my eyes at all I get purple smudges. Could just be me, though, as I have oily lids.

I have pale skin and black mascara always looks too harsh on me. This plum color is dark enough to accentuate my eyes while still being warm against my skin tone, and I think it makes my eyes look greener. I'll definitely buy it again.

Quick Take: good
I like mascaras that are natural looking and not over the top. So, I'm quite happy with this: it doesn't flake or clump and applies very easily the first time. However, the purple color isn't very intense. I actually like the subtlety of this, but if you want a more intense color, you should probably use an eyelash curler and several coats.

I was excited to try this because I love a hint of plum around the eyes. Unfortunately, the color is barely visible. It doesn't lengthen or thicken nearly as well as the Benefit They're Real mascara. I will definitely not buy again. I only use it when I'm running errands. If you're thinking about this one, don't buy it. Go for the They're Real. It's amazing. I've been stopped by strangers to ask about my lashes when I wear it.

BAD GAL the name says it all! I love the way this plum mascara looks in the day time! Really makes my green eye's stand out. I think it's Good for any colored eye's to be honest. Never clump! Overall my favorite mascara!!!!

This plum is actually quite natural looking, brings out the green in my eyes, doesn't look purple. Love the brush, gives thick full lashes, not clumpy, doesn't flake. Use almost everyday, alone for natural look or top with black for more drama.

I love this mascara, and I hope the company continues to make it. I pair this with the Clinique Last Primer that gives my lashes a lot of length. Then this mascara over that gives me beautiful, long lashes that are never clumped together. I love that the color makes my green eyes stand out more. When I wear this mascara, I always get compliments on my eyes. But it's not a fake look; it's a very soft, natural lash. I highly recommend this product.

I have green eyes that stand out even without any eye make-up so the only reason I bought this is because it's not black. I was initially looking for a brown mascara but it just doesn't seem to exist. I don't know why black is the only color mascara seems to come in since there are people out there (like me) that doesn't wish to turn the natural color of my lashes (brown) to black and look like I'm wearing mascara which anyone who's natural eyelash color isn't black looks like.
Anyway...this mascara is perfectly not black. It doesn't show plum either. On me, it actually looks like I have naturally thick, long, perfectly separated, not clumpy, soft, brown lashes...SCORE.
