Best foundation EVER- 11.18.09
Quick Take: moisturizing, natural
This foundation is very moisturizing without being oily. It contains a lot of water and feels great on the skin. After applying the foundation I have a dewy glow that looks very natural. Didn't cake all day and required no touchups when set with a powder.
The colour I got matched my skin perfectly! I would highly recommend going to your local department store to find your shade because the online swatches are a bit deceiving.
All in all well worth the money and time!

Top Of The Line! Excellent!- 10.16.09
Quick Take: moisturizing, evens out skin tone
Like the previous reviewer, I also have oily skin and have never used liquid foundation until my sister introduced me to shu eumura. I love it! I especially love the color which suits me very well. I've always have had trouble matching my skin color to many foundations and I now will stop searching. My face and skin looks great. It's not full coverage foundation but it's just about right. I highly recommend it.

Love it!!- 10.07.09
I've always been afraid of liquid foundation because I was scared to apply it and thought it would look cakey. Also my skin is very oily so I have always used powder. I love this foundation! I use the uvc underbase mousse as well, after my moisterizer has completely absorbed and then I apply the foundation using su uemura's foundation brush. I use the foundation power to set it and for touch ups during the day. Love it!

Quick Take: great coverage but light in feel
This foundation feels very light, but still covers all the "bad" spots that I need covered. I consider this just as good (or maybe even better) than the $115 foundation I've tried

Great Smoothing and coverage- 08.26.09
Quick Take: moisturizing, feels light, great coverage and smoothing
This is not a heavy foundation but it manages to deliver everything you want from a foundation. Great Coverage, but the thing I like the most is the smoothing formula. My pores don't look as enlarged and my skin condition better even on bad patchy days.

im in the 45 age bracket and i have tried all kinds of foundations but this is the best it matches my skin and it doesnt dry it out and works with my t zone my nose and chin area so it works like a balancer and it feels wonderful on and very natural i give it a five stars for sure!

good for a full coverage foundation- 06.29.09
if you want a full coverage foundation, this is your product. it has lots of pigment and is still not cakey. it is a good foundation to use over blemishes, and also the range of shades is perfect for people of color.

Awesome Coverage- 06.22.09
Quick Take: versatile
I love this product because out of all the foundations I've tried, this one is very buildable without looking cakey. It is non-drying and can be used as a concealer also which lends itself to being very travel friendly!

Wonderful Texture, But Best to Purchase in Person- 05.26.09
Quick Take: moisturizing
This foundation is light and natural and has a beautiful texture - the only problem is that the color choices are highly unreliable as portrayed online. The color I chose turned out to be much lighter when applied than it appeared online. Since I use a bronzer in summer, I can deal with the color difference - but if this were for winter use, it would be far too light. Best to purchase in person.

It has pretty much all I expected from a foundation. One problem is it is very hard to choose the right color. I have the 764, which is not bad on my fair-medium asian face. However, I will continue looking for something better, since the color turns orange on my skin.

The best- 05.04.09
Quick Take: moisturizing, blendable
I've tried so many different foundations, and this is by far the best. The color I chose actually matches my skin, and the texture makes very easy to blend. I've also found that it's easy to layer without it clumping up and making it obvious that you have makeup on. I was hesitant to try it at first because of the price, but a little bit really goes a long way with this product. It's definitely worth the money.

Sephora does NOT sell all the shades --- BOOOO!!!- 04.30.09
This line is not carried in any Sephora Stores. Boo. Sephora.com only carries 10 of the existing 17 shades that Shu Uemura makes of this foundation - Double Boo. I am the fairest shade #784 ---- (the numbering scale is horribly confusing - Triple boo)... but that's SU's fault.
All those boos aside. This foundation is wonderful. Lightweight, buildable, probably the closest thing I've found to Giorgio Armani's Lumious Silk Foundation --- which Sephora doesn't carry either. Geez.
With that said - good luck figuring out your color - the shu uemura website helps a bit.
But this foundation is WONDERFUL. If you've got the right shade - I think you'll be happy. :)
Now let's see all the colors in a Sephora please!!! or bare minimum - online!!!

Porcelain is the perfect color for me. Feels good on the skin. Looks very natural, I can use a second layer on my ruddy cheeks, Score would be a five if it had medium coverage. My skin loves this!

this foundation looks really natural and it leaves your skin smooth and never feeling dry. the coverage is on the lighter side. shu uemura is a great choice for foundation colors, because other makeup companies tend to overlook minority skin tones, especially asians.

Best Foundation Ever!- 03.24.09
I am very picky when it comes to makeup, and I like natural looking makeup. This is the only foundation that I have not taken back and will continue to purchase. I have a very oily T-zone and large pores and this foundation controls my oily T-zone. And not to mention what incredible job it does at creating a natural and smooth face with incredible coverage.

This is a good light foundation. Did not irratate my skin and has not caused any breakouts. It is however not good enough alone and did not hide acne scars, you must use a good concealer. Overall I like it, it goes on very smooth and the color match is very good for my skin tone which is pale with pink undertones. I purchase #164 and it is a perfect match.

Awesome foundation! The coverage is light, but that is what I wanted. It stays on all day. Looks really natural. If I have a blemish, I use the concealer on top of the foundation. To me this is a much better look anyway than looking like I have a mask on with a heavy foundation. My favorite!
