Quick Take: good value
Two-Timer Mascara: This mascara is different from other mascaras. There's actually the same mascara in two mini tubes with two different types wands to either create two separate lash looks or to combine for one look using both brushes. And for anyone who only turns out to like only one of the brushes/applicators, use that brush in one mini tube and when the first mini-tube is empty, just switch brushes, insert into the other side, and you'll have an unused new mini-tube to use. I've used this mascara (reviewed on 2/15/10) and it's pretty good.
Balms Away: I've been using a make up remover cloth that comes pre-moistened with my favorite makeup remover. It can be used on both my face and my eyes. Ii take the sheet out of the pack, and clean my face with one side, and my eyes with the other. I guess I've gotten spoiled, because I tried BalmsAway, and although it's good, it's more trouble than it's worth, at least to me. It means getting out either a cloth or cotton pad, and then dunking it in the product (which is sort of like a petroleum jelly, similar to Vaseline) and then wiping it across my eyes. BalmsAway does remove the makeup, but when I'm finished, the area around my eyes feels like it still needs to be cleansed. That's probably the hydrating moisturizing component of the product so that's not necessarily a bad thing. Since I'm already using an eye cream once my makeup is removed, I want the area around my eyes to be totally free of product. I feel like I have to still wash/cleanse the eye area once I'm finished using this because there seems to still be some residue or remains of the BalmsAway. However, this is probably really good for people who are not following it up with an eye cream, which is why I gave it five stars. It definitely has moisturizing/hydrating properties.
If you're looking for these two products, you can save a lot of money with this duo.

The Balm has some of the best eyeshadow I have ever used. However this kit shows they also have the worst makeup remover and mediocre mascara. This eye makeup remover did not remove ANY of this gloppy mascara. Its a ridiculous combination.

The mascara was only fair, and the balms away didn't work at all on the non-waterproof mascara, even working it in for over a minute. I usually wear waterproof mascara so this would REALLY not work on that!

I actually purchased this duo having never used either one of these products before. I must say that I was disappointed in both. I wrote a review for each product individually, so please see those reviews for more details on why I was displeased with each one. These products just weren't for me.

The Balm- 11.19.08
I'm very picky when it comes to mascara. The Two-Timer is a good one but the eye makeup remover that came with the mascara is terrible. It DOES NOT remove the Two-Timer at all! I had to use my other mascara remover. That is why I only gave it 2 stars.
