Breakout and allergic reaction

I have somewhat sensitive skin but have used a variety of products before without every having my face break out and redden like it did with this product. After 4 days of use as a night time cream, my cheeks broke out and turned very red. The product is also very heavy and I would only recommend this to someone who has dry skin. It was too heavy for my combination skin even when "warming" it up between my fingers before use. The smell is positively delightful.

Moisturizing well but...

Before I bought this cream I did have very high expectations for Jurlique productions especially this Day cream due to its almost 5-star reviews. But now it becomes a hate-love product for me.
First of all, I'm a dry skin, so I'm always looking for various kind of moisturizing products. When I applied this day cream first time, I applied it before sleep. In the next morning, it really showed its power of moisturizing. I felt my skin became more tender and softer and when I touched my skin, my face felt like every cell drinks enough water.
However it also has something I don't really appreciate. First of all, the texture --- it appears a little too rich or thick for me even for winter, which makes it harder to apply comparing to other silky feel moisturizers. Secondly, it says the cream will provide nature glow on your face which to me looks more like oily shine. It is a really rare feeling and result because as a dry skiner almost every moisturizer on my face will be drained quickly. Because of this shine, I ended up with only using it in the night. And the last one, the tube was broken in the middle after using it for 3 months and there were still half left so that every time when I use it I get cream from two places---the hole on the body of the tube and the front...

Too Heavy

Not too happy with this product. It's heavy and you think it would be doing something but it just sits on top of your skin. It doesn't penetrate and the smell is way to flowery. I will continue using it because it was a pricey item. I don't want to throw it away.

Woodsy smell

Quick Take: slightly disappointing
I would give it 4 stars for its ability to moisturize but I couldn't get over the subtle but lingering woodsy musty smell that stayed on my face the entire day. If you like that kind of smell, then you would be fine. As for me, I much prefer a clean or fruity smell vs. woodsy/musty.

thick texture, lovely smell

Your skin must be clean, slightly damp when applying this lotion. It is quite thick and does not spread easily. That said, I happen to like the texture and thickness plus the sweet smell. others, maybe not. different from light, day creams.

I NEVER leave reviews. Never. This product is that great. I had tiny whiteheads around my lower cheeks and would get pimples on the same spots on my cheeks ALL THE TIME. Every beauty store/brand I stumbled upon suggested I use products for oily skin because my breakouts were clearly from too much oil production on my face. NOT.
I was first attracted to this by its smell and my initial, very pleasant experience with jurlique's rose water mist - I gave this one a try.
Little did I know what I was getting myself into.. this is an obsession. Not only it is an amazing treat every morning and night (yes I put it on at night too) to put this on my face, but also I just look forward to washing my face just so I can feel how amazing it is on my skin.
It clearly ALL MY WHITEHEADS and I no longer get those regular pimples that used to end up scarring my face. Like everyone else said, it may feel too thick when you first squeeze a pea amount out of the tube, but once you warm it in btween your fingertips and press onto your skin, before you know it, your skin is drinking it all up and you feel absolutely hydrated and refreshed.!!
I cannot ask for more. I am obsesssssed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very rich and intense moisture. My dry skin is balanced and smooth after only 1 week. I received a sample of this cream in my birchbox and I couldn't be happier with the results. My skin hasn't looked or felt this good in a long time. I just purchased the full size and am eager to try other products in this line.

I finally found a fabulous daily moisturizer. I used to have problems with my cheeks feeling dried out by mid-day. This cream goes on so smooth and feels so rich, I was afraid it would be too oily, but it's not. Now I put on this cream, then my foundation, then my powder, and no more dry cheeks in the mid afternoon. This is so wonderful!

I've been using it for almost a week now and I LOVE the way my skin feels now!
I felt really dry living in Canada made my skin super dry and flaky at times and I thought my skin is just getting older. BUT really what I need was a GOOD moisturizer and This cream improved my skin quality so much better in brightening, firming and moisturizing not to forget about the amazing smell( herbal scent). This cream gives you beautiful healthy dewy glow once you put it on makes foundations goes so well and love the way it looks with my foundation!!
This was my first Jurlique skincare product and I am really glad that I discover such a great brand!! I am excited to try more skincare from Jurlique in the future! :)

I am 62 with dry skin, and most moisturizers give out before the end of the day. They leave my face feeling like a prune. This gets me through the coldest of days. A little bit goes a very long way. Plus my makeup blends well with it.

A little goes a long way. I used one pearl sized amount for my face. It does not dry out even at the end of the day. This product works wonders. Even my boyfriend was amazed at how baby smooth my skin feels. It moisturizes and locks it in your skin and no awful smell or greasiness at all!

This is quickly becoming an HG product for me. Its the only moisturizer that soothes and moisturizes my dehydrated, super-sensitive skin. I was trying hard to get Dr. Hauschka to work for me (Rose Day Cream, Cleansing Cream, etc) but was getting nowhere...then along came Jurlique! Great natural principles with amazing, time-tested products. I trust European/Australian ingredient standards far more than the free-for-all we've got going on in the US (nobody regulates the cosmetics industry here...crazy!). Anyway, have tried a few other things from this line (exfoliating cream, replenishing foaming face wash and skin balancing oil) and l-o-v-e them. Also, they're generous with samples if you write to the company, which is how I made sure everything was right for my skin before purchasing. The line is somewhat pricey but a little really does go a long way...

Love it - Better for a night cream

I instead use it as my "go to" night cream - it's heavy, takes a while to sink in, and smells a bit strongly like roses. That said, my skin looks gorgeous in the morning. A little goes a long way too.
Buyer beware, while it's listed as "natural," it still has Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) in its ingredient list - which should be avoided during pregnancy.

Expensive but worth it! I use it as a night cream because it doesn't have SPF for day time. I always wake up with the best skin. It feels so smooth that it's like i have mask on overnight. Great product! the best I've had so far after I found out that I was dry skin. I was using the wrong products (for comb skin type) for so long bc i hated the greasy feeling of most of products for dry skin-type.

This is the best cream ever. I always get compliments on my skin when I use this. It smells heavenly. It is very thick and difficult to get used to at first. It works best if you either warm it up on your fingers, or dot it on your face and let it warm up before patting it in. It keeps my face hyrdrated more than any other moisturizer I have tried. Get it if you have dry skin. You won't be sorry.
