Quick Take: foamy
I have used this cleaner for over three years and it is the only part of my beauty routine that has not changed in that time period. It gives me a deep clean that I have not experienced with any other cleansers, without over-drying. I use it with a Clarisonic facial cleansing brush and believe the two are a perfect pair. The cleanser develops into a foam, so I know it is working. From time to time, I suffer from mild acne. I truly believe this helps keep my acne under control, because as soon as I switch to a different cleanser, I begin to break out and come running back to Clarins. I recommend this to anyone.

It's true, it foams so you don't need much. I use cotton pads with it -- it's one of the best cleansers I've used. My skin is stubborn and sensitive, so it's difficult to find good products.

Initially, I was a bit hesitant to pay so much for a cleanser. But it's so worth it. It's a foamy, creamy luxurious cleanser. I know foamy and creamy together sounds contradicting, but that's really what it is. It foams up, but has this really soft creamy texture. You'd expect it to be drying due to the foam, but it's not. This cleanser is really gentle, takes off everything and leaves my skin soft and comfortable.
Highly recommend this for people with combo skin.

I finally broke down and bought this after reading so many great reviews. This product has done wonders for my combination/oily skin. My skin is softer and is becoming less prone to breaking out with each use. I also feel like I don't need to use nearly as much moisturizer as I used to (I know, its odd for someone with oily skin). All in all, I will be using this cleanser forever!

I absolutely Love This product And Love it even more when I use it with my clairsonic. It smells great and it's foamy so I feel like it gets all the days oil and makeup off my face. A little will do the job and my face doesn't feel tight after. It's wirth the price.

This has so far been the most gentle, yet most effective, cleanser I have ever used. It foams up very well (it helps to add a splash of water to it to get the foaming action started) and cleans up every last bit of dirt, makeup, and oil! I don't know how but after I cleanse my face immediately LOOKS smoother!
No, this cleanser does not contain any anti-aging or anti-acne ingredients, but since it's a cleanser, why would it need to? You just rinse it off your face anyway!
The smell is incredible, like pure cotton (probably due to the cottonseed!) but it doesn't linger after you wash it off. For $22 it's a great product, and since it's from Clarins I know I can trust what's inside it!

This cleanser is a miracle! Great as a makeup remover and also for people who have oily skin and want to feel that extra foaming and extra clean! It keeps the ph balance on my face feeling nice and refreshed! I feel extra clean and not overly dry when using this! I have used all the biotherm products and tons of other anti shine products, none have done the trick like this one! Another plus is it last double the amount of time as most cleansers because u only need a pea sized amount to foam up good! Even with lots of makeup on. Highly recommended!

I received a trial size and then purchased it, that's how much I love it. i have combination skin, somewhat sensitive and suffer from breakouts. Love how this product feels gentle and does not irritate yet cleans completely. My skin feels super clean and oil free yet does not feel dried out. I have tried numerous cleansers and this is by far the best. A pea sized amount goes a long way, foams up quite nicely and has a real fresh clean scent.

I got this product when I visited the sephora while on vacation in San Francisco on kind of a whim. I asked what cleanser she'd recommend for combination skin and this is what she came back with. I LOVE it! and I've been through the gamut of cleansers. Some are too drying, some make you break out, some don't leave your face feeling clean. This is the first cleanser I've really felt answered all my issues. My face feels clean and oil free but not over dried and irritated. Other thing that I appreciate it a little bit goes a long way so this product lasts. It's foamy and cleansing without a ton. A pea size amount does fine for me.

This is my favorite cleanser EVER! I have normal skin and this cleanser is just perfect. It doesn't dry out and it removes everything it should. They used to make the same one but with shea butter (which worked the same way but smelled better), but it got discontinued. I will always be using this!

The cleanser pictured to the left is one of 3 foaming cleansers that Clarins makes. The one pictured is the one with cottonseed and it is formulated for normal to combination skin. It is the one I use most often, though I do have all 3 (one for dry skin with shea butter and one for oily skin with tamarind "beads"). The Cottonseed one is my favourite - it is a thorough but reasonably gentle foaming cleanser that washes off leaving my skin feeling fresh and truly "clean". It's not the best for removing heavy duty waterproof foundation or long lasting concealer or eye makeup (but I generally do a separate step to remove heavy makeup) but it is very effective at cleaning the skin at the end of the day or refreshing it in the morning (Clarins suggests using cool water to rinse in the a.m. but I don't do that - I still prefer a warm water rinse no matter the weather or time of day). A little of this goes a long way - even a pea sized dollop is too much! Very effective and enjoyable product to use.

I got this as a sample from Sephora. A little goes a LONG WAY - even with my heavy-duty makeup - so I still have quite a bit left.
VERY reasonable price, even for a cheapy- like me. Got all my makeup off, and my face felt GREAT. Have even been checking out their other skin care stuff.
I have used SO MANY face washes - and this one is GREAT. Hence the 5-stars. Will continue buying.

Love this product. I get black heads and need to keep my skin really clean and this does a nice job. I still use an exfoliator 2-3 times per week but this is great for every day - non-drying and effective.
