Great blender but tends to waste product.

Quick Take: great blending tool, soft comfortable on the skin
This is the most excellent blending tool I have ever used. Initially, I began by putting the product in my hand and applying it with the blender sponge. I noticed that wasted a lot of product, so what I ended up doing was putting my tinted moisturizer on with my hand and using the sponge to blend it in. It also works great on cream blush, eye shadow and concealer.

Cleanser Tip!

I've already written a review, but if you're like me you've already run out of the cleanser and don't want to pay $18 for more. Instead of using thick shampoo and body wash (like some reviews say), use watered down hand soap. I noticed that the cleanser it came with was rather watery, it wasn't thick like shampoo or body wash is. Now I'm no scientist, but I think that watered down hand soap works because it's watery and is able to get down in there.

I've never written a review before, but I HAD to for these sponges. They are AMAZING!! I'm a makeup artist and I've never used anything that blends foundation so seamlessly. Just follow the directions that are given and voila: perfection!

I use this with my (cream) foundation stick by a brand that is not sold by sephora, but is available at high end dept. stores. I get a wonderful 'my skin but better' finish with this sponge as opposed to a heavy cakey look. When everyone says that this produces a dewy finish: believe the hype. It seems sturdy and washes clean. I also apply both cream and powder blush as well as bronzer with this multitasker for a well applied/blended professional, flawless finish every time. The egg shape allows you to maneuver the sponge easily.

I love these things!

This gives amazing coverage and helps your foundation look really blended and not streaky. You wet it, then "bounce" it on your skin. The foundation ends up looking just like your skin, it is great. The pointy tip is great for blending concealer on your eyes. I was using the Target version of this sponge for quite a while, which worked well. I had no intention of buying this more expensive version. However, after a while the Target sponge would not come clean (gross) and started to fall apart, as in little chunks of sponge would come off on my face (extra gross). I tried the beautyblender, since the two pack is really not much more expensive than the other sponge, and the quality really is better. The Beautyblender sponge is much softer,lasts longer, and comes clean when I wash it (yay!). So, I will continue to purchase this product. I love it, you will be surprised at what a difference it makes w/ your foundation.

Solved my lifelong problems

My god, this thing is WONDERFUL! It blends like whoa, and doesn’t soak up too much goo. It used about the same amount I use with a brush or with fingers. My skin looks like SKIN! No streaks!!! I put the foundation on the back of my hand and spread it out a bit, then dab into it with the Beautyblender and apply. This saves the sponge soaking up too much.
They say each sponge lasts 3 months but I don't use foundation every day. I just rinsed mine under hot water and squoze it a few times, and it looks OK. About every third application I use the Beautyblender cleanser with it.
It's made of foam like the new earplugs are made, and it's actually a bulb, not a flat teardrop as it appears in online photos. This is a true winner. However, if you try it with powder foundations (loose powder or minerals), be prepared for disappointment. It works, but not spectacularly; it doesn't give as good coverage that way as it does with liquid/cream foundations.

I wish I found this years ago. It makes powdered mineral make up application soooo much better. The mineral make up looks better. I also use it with liquid foundation and concealer. It's just fabulous. I've seen that Sonia Kashuk (Target) has a similar sponge and Sephora also has one. They are both cheaper, but I've never tried either. The pink will keep me sold on this one for a dumb reason - it's just my favorite color. I like the cleanser that goes with it, but I don't think it's necessary. Sometimes I just use my hand soap and everything comes out fine. I've had mine for maybe three months and it's still like new. I will never be without this product again. Get one!

Truly, as a professional make-up artist it saves money, time & product. Great for cream blushes & highlighters.
Not sure what all this talk about, "Washes out pink water."
I have TWO Beauty Blenders and neither one has ever done this to me. You may have gotten defective ones. Or maybe you thought you were smart by not buying the cleanser (Which, BTW lasts forever.)

I like that it smooths out makeup its a great texture not like your typical sponge out there. Its hard to explain but works like a charm. I love the tip also cause you are able to get in the corner of your eye.

Cannot live without!

Quick Take: perfectly bouncy on skin, doesn't miss a corner.
I have never been able to use sponges to apply foundation. I figured I'd give it one more shot (anticipating this might be a return). NO WAY! This sponge is PHENOMENAL! I have tried it with fluid foundation, cream foundation and even tinted moisturizer. All go on so perfectly with this pink little miracle. Once you get the hang of it, you will not regret spending the money.
