Quick Take: exfoliating, drying
2 weeks in and I'm still applying every other day. I can't imagine using this every day. The lotion is harsh on my skin. After 1 application my skin was dry and flaky (looks like dandruff but on my face), my sensitive skin is even more sensitive (feels like alcohol on raw skin when I apply my usual lotion and sunscreen). I haven't seen dramatic results but have read that it comes with consistent use after 6 weeks. I'm not there yet but have noticed subtle differences - tighter skin (might be because it's drier) and my skin tone is *slightly* more even. I'm a 42 Asian female with medium/light complexion.

Quick Take: really good
I love this retinol lotion. It absorbs quickly and using it every other night has made my skin look smooth and firm. I really think this is the best OTC retinol on the market.

Totally worth it

I started using it every other night, and within a few weeks I had two people asking me if I had changed makeup or something because my skin looked great. It is expensive, and I don't like to spend a ton on this sort of thing, but this one is totally worth it. I do recommend using moisturizer in the AM after using this

Greatly minimized acne!

Quick Take: effective, nourishing, great for acne
I have moderate hormonal acne sometimes not even during my period. I also have combo skin but my skin is sensitive too. This really helped controlled my acne without hurting my skin. Really diminished my scars and my skin glows the next day after I had it on overnight. I use it every other night with sun screen in the day. I no longer have to use makeup to cover up!

I used this for about a month and returned it. To me, it did nothing and was overpriced. I did give it two stars because it did not break me out, which is always a plus with my sensetive skin.

I hadn't heard of this product until I was given a sample in store. It felt nice and sounded good. I'm so glad I purchased it. It has reduced my fine and deeper facial wrinkles and generally tighten the skin on my face and neck. I'm really impressed.

Quick Take: exfoliating, brightening, balancing, correcting
I have been using this product for about a year and don't plan on stopping any time soon. I have very sensitive and difficult skin- oily, dry, blemish and acne prone, eczema prone, and dermatitis prone. However, after using this product for about six weeks there was a dramatic change in my skin. It was brighter, breaking out less, and overall much more balanced. It did take some getting used to though. I started out but only using it every third night, and combining it with a moisturizer. After the initial "retinol shock" with some mild irritaion and dryness, my skin has adjusted to it and I use it everynight along with a night cream.

This product is not good for sensitive skin, strong alcohol irritated and burned my skin. Fortunately I only got the sample but not spending 75 bucks on such a waste. Never trust and try this brand again.

Quick Take: miraculous, acne demolishing, prompts skin compliments
This is a very active gentle but effective trratment. I used lots of benzoyl peroxide and salicylic even peeled layer after layer of my skin off with jessner peels. THIS product, with no downtime faded pits and dark spots from past acne.smoothed my forehead its a miraclefor aging and the best thing ever for acne. i get compliments everyday!! Im not making this up!!

This did nothing for me. It didn't dry me out or make me break out, so I gave it 2 lippies for that. But otherwise, it was expensive and not too effective.

This product, out of all the range, appears to work. I like that it isn't harsh at all, I still have hydration in the morning. I kept this out of the other products that I returned. Great to use in conjunction with IPL's

Quick Take: exfoliating, improves skin clarity tone and texture
I use this product regularly. It has dramatically improved my skin texture, reduced fine lines and reduced dark spots. It also seemed to reduce the dark circles under my eyes.
One note of caution. If you are going to be out in strong sun be careful using retinol. Sunscreen is essential. My skin became dry and irritated despite a multi day break from the product and use of spf 50 sunscreen.

Smoothes face, no irritation.

Quick Take: effective, smoothing
This product was recommended to me by a Sephora skin care specialist. I was looking for something to help combat the very pigmented skin above my lip. I've been using it for about two weeks, going from every three days, to every other day. So far, I've been very pleased with how well it's smoothed my skin. Slight fading on the pigmentation, but I'm optimistic over time there will be a more obvious lightening. I haven't experienced any redness or flaking, just some small, barely-noticeable bumps on my chin. I use it at night and don't apply any other products along with it. I'm happy with my purchase, although time will tell if it's effective enough to repurchase.

This stuff works!!

I have creepy skin under my eyes, and was told that only a laser could get rid of that. I was so determined to get rid of this that I paid 1200.00 for the laser treatment. The Dr. performing the treatment assured me "although they could not guarantee" that the laser would get rid of the creepiness,and my eyes would look like they did in my 20's again. Not true! I went through a lot of pain and swelling for nothing, not to mention spending a lot of money for no results. I took a chance and bought this product 3 weeks ago after reading the reviews, and started using every other night. My under eye creepiness is almost gone now, and my skin is glowing. I'm not going to kid you the creepiness did get much worse when I started using this, but stick with it. It will go away, and you will be amazed with the results. I have also had flakiness from using this, but I just use a exfoliating bath mitt and gently cleanse my face in the AM. I can't wait to see what my skin is going to look like in 6 months!

DERMAdoctor's Poetry in Lotion is my holy grail of products! I use three times a week in addition to the Wrinkle Revenge Line from DERMAdoctor. This is the go to ingredient dermatologists use, Retinal, for their anti-ageing prescriptions and it works! It's so gentle, no peeling of skin, just smooth and ageless! A must have product for all woman who want to look ageless because you will with this product.
