Quick Take: clearing, effective, gentle, evening
I bought this looking for a product that reduced the size of my pores as well as helped control my skin as I tend to be very congested in my t-zone. I am using it 2x a week versus the once they recommend and I have seen amazing results. My skin is definitely clearer, softer, and just a more even overall appearance. I do have very congested skin and it is difficult for me to keep it under control at times and this has just done wonders. I can't say enough good things about it. I didn't experience any dryness or irritation as I have with other peels. This is my third Kate Somerville product, and although her products are a little pricey, they are well worth it.

This product is not as good as I had hoped it would be. I don't feel any tingling going on, and haven't noticed any help with the fine lines or sun damage spots I have.

I've used a ton of product in my prior life but nothing really seemed to work that wonderfully. I couldn't justify the cost of expensive creams/lotions that didn't do a whole lot. This product definitely delivers results! This is the only thing I use outside of my regular lotion and I don't feel like I need anything else. I sometimes mix this with my nightcream and I feel 5 years younger when I wake up! Worth the money!

Quick Take: hydrating, exfoliating
This product Gently exfoliates my face leaving no redness or burning sensations, but a smoother, softer feel. If i had to compare it to other KS products, though, i would say that i prefer the results and smell of ExfoliKate.
It does smell a bit odd and I am not a fan of the pump mechanism on the bottle. The first time i tried it, the product shot across my sink and onto the mirror. The second time, half of it landed on the sink, so thats improvement i guess.

Quick Take: hydrating, exfoliating
I am on my second bottle of this product and I would never want to be without it. I use it once a week to really clean and exfoliate my face and have had great results. Leaves your skin soft and smooth with no redness or burning/tingling. My skin tone is even. Glycolic peels are essential for aging skin so doing this at home once a week saves me time and $$$.

Uncertain results

I have been using this product for about 6 weeks now, so perhaps I'm judging it's effectiveness to soon. I don't really have bad skin; I bought this product to reduce trips to the spa for facials.
I mainly wanted this to lighten some very pale sun spots I have on my face & also help reduce pores & improve overall skin tone.
While I've only been using it once a week for 6 weeks, I can't say I've seen a marked change in my skin. Perhaps it has gotten a tinier bit more even & clear, but that's debatable!
I'm very uncertain I will buy this product again. The hunt continues!

This keeps me from breaking out. I have also noticed smaller pores and smoother overall complexion. It lasts me for about a year so the product is well worth the cost.

Used this product at least once a week...sometimes twice a week and I use a GENEROUS amount. Not the pump or two for me, at least 4 or 5 on my cotton ball and used on my neck too. I don't have horrible skin by any means, but I have had outbreaks recently in my late 20s of acne and have some scars. This has made my skin look flawless. I use high end face products too, but every time I used this it would be within a day that I got comments on my skin. Moisturize GOOD after use!

U can see ur dead skin fall off!!!! it stings a little bit but omg, after 5 minutes when u rinse and PAT dry, ur skin feels literally like GLASS!!!!!! Ive never seen a product where u can actually see the dead skin fall off!!!

I got a sample of this product just to try it out..see what it's all about. I have adult acne and am also taking oral antibiotics so I was looking for a product to reduce scarring I have and lessen breakouts. after the first use, I already noticed a difference. my skin was soft and I also used the KS antioxidant serum after. the two work so well together and after a couple of weeks, I noticed a reduction in my scars, redness, and inflammation. my skin looks and feels great!! highly recommend this!!

Quick Take: gentle, effective, kinda stinky, anti-acne, anti-aging
I took a leap buying this because the KS sulfur treatment LIT-rally had zero effect on my acne. Been using this polisher about a month, once a week. Four pumps on a round cotton pad, swipe it over a clean face, wait 5 minutes, rinse and moisturize. Smells funky (like rotting fruit) and I have a little (very mild) redness afterward, but no sting at all. The crazy-good part is that each week, my skin has looked better than the week before. I've never had results like this with any product so I am motivated to write this review. Tighter, smoother skin and even my (giant!) pores are noticeably smaller. Stupid adult acne is at a minimal level and my face overall honestly looks better than it has in at least a couple of years. If you like ExfoliKate, you may like this as well (ExfoliKate works nicely for me, and this is like professional-grade ExfoliKate with the results to match.)

I have had blackheads on my nose for years. I've used scrubs and peels and nothing works for long. After using this product once, my blackheads were either gone or loosened enough to extract gently. I will use this once a week for as long as Kate Somerville makes it!

I have been using this product for about 3 months and WOW has this made my skin look amazing (I never thought I'd be able to say that!)
I have a very uneven skin tone, due to cystic (severe) acne that I had when I was about 15 until the age of 18. I have always had acne but the cystic acne really put my skin through a lot. I have used so many different products claiming that they help with brightening the skin tone and helping with scars but nothing has ever worked for me.
I bought this product on a whim. I am in love with Kate's products (I have used many... including her amazing 9!! kit and exfolikate, which I LOVE). So I bought this because I had read somewhere online that this can help with age spots and discoloration. In the beginning I used this 2 times a week (YES I know it says use once a week). And I did that every week for 3 months... and I would use 1 pump each use (so 2 pumps of this product a week). This one bottle will last you a VERY long time... seriously. I still have the same bottle that I bought with plenty left.
I wish I would have taken a before photo so I could show you how drastic my skin has changed. This stuff works! My acne scars are pretty much gone, they have lightened from a dark red to almost my skin tone (which is VERY, VERY fair). My mother came over to my apartment and caught me off guard and asked me what makeup I was wearing, because my skin looked so good.... well needless to say, I wasn't wearing any makeup! My mom about passed out because she knows what my skin use to look like (very blotchy and uneven).
This product not only has made my skin tone look even and "normal" but it makes your skin feel like a baby's bottom. It makes your skin so smooth and soft. This stuff is literally a miracle in a bottle and not only has it made my skin look great but it has given me a boost of confidence that I didn't have before because of how my skin looked.
All in all this is a fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone who wants to get rid of discoloration or just wants to treat their skin to something good. Love this stuff!
P.s The smell honestly does not bug me. It does have a very distinct smell almost like a sour fruit? But this stuff works and I don't care if this smelled like dead fish... I would still use it because IT WORKS!

I am a 33 year old with good skin. Now I look like a 27 year old with great skin. I don't understand people complaining about the smell, I didn't really notice it, but then I am used to Perricone products and those are stinky! I was worried this would be harsh but it wasn't at all. When I rinsed off my face, it was soft and white, and I swear it took years off. I will use this at least twice a week.

I remind myself to always sample before purchasing, but I did not this time..... I will re-remind myself of that again. I never would have purchased the product had I smelled it first. It does smell like ginko fruit in autumn. Not good! I am determined to use it to completion, though after the investment. I am not convinced of its effectiveness, either. There is barely a tingle on the face. I was not aware there was no percentage of glycolic product. I will not purchase it again.

This has a very unpleasant odor. Really it stinks. It rem ends me of Ginko fruit in autumn. Yuk! I am not sure of it's effectiveness. It barely tingled when I use it. But I am determined to push on with it.

I've had good results with glycolic + lactic peels at the medi-spa before and was happy to find this one. Others I've tried at Sephora either didn't give as much results or else were irritating. This one is relatively gentle (it is a peel, though) and makes my skin very soft and ready to absorb other treatments like anti-aging serums.

Quick Take: helpful but not huge difference
I haven't seen much change and I have used it for longer than the 2-5 minutes on the instructions, about 10. I am not sure what the percentage of glycolic is, if it isn't at least 10% that's the problem. Scent is not very pleasant, but overall a good product.
