Great little makeup tool - 02.24.10

Quick Take: sponge

I use this more for evening out concealer and dabbing excess foundation, but it's perfect for what I use it for. The angled point is perfect for getting right below the eye, corners of your nose, and around the lip, etc. And for the price it's def a good buy.

Great Little Sponge! - 02.24.10

This sponge is lightweight and not too thick. I use to apply my laura mercier tinted moisturizer. The egg shape is good because it is easy to hold and you can get into smaller spaces with the pointed tip. Nice price too.

It was a good product until I washed it. Maybe I was too rough in trying to get the makeup out because after the first washing it seemed to lose its firmness and became rather flimsy.

Quick Take: perfect applicator

This sponge is excellent! I have used many others in the past, but love the way this sponge applies liquid makeup and blends my concealer. They are a bit steep in price, but mine have held up very well.

Quick Take: finely textured, bright colored, easy to use

Sephora's Multi Purpose Sponge is a step up above drugstore brand sponges. Simply put, it gets the job. I have used the sponge to apply liquid foundation as well as cream foundation. The rounded tip of the sponge can be used to blot the eye and nose or other areas that need a bit more attention. I like that foundation doesn't "sink" into the sponge like other sponges, which makes me feel like I'm wasting the product. Also the bright color is great and fun and easy to find!

I had a similar sponge (for too short a time) that I loved, but it accidentally fell out of my hand landing in the sink in a public restroom along with probably countless germs. I had to throw it away. The other sponge was a bit more money, so I'm pleased to have located this one. I love the shape of this sponge because it allows me to apply creamy products right up to my lash line and around my nose with ease. (Sephora's fan brush perfectly complements this sponge - use this sponge to apply the creamy products including concealers, foundations, highlighers etc, in the area under your eyes, then apply your facial products, including blush or bronzer, and then use the fan brush in the adjoining areas under the eye/at top of cheekbone, to blend it all together). This sponge is really good because it's antibacterial, so it can be washed with only soap and water or you can use cleaners made for sponges. Either way it comes out fresh and like new. It just needs to air dry, and that's pretty quick. Professional looking makeup applications usually look that way because of professional applicators, sponges, tools and brushes. Those things are all long lasting investments that make the products look better. You'll really appreciate this sponge.

Quick Take: quality!

I use this for any cream/liquid based makeups. The texture is phenomenal, and they are hearty enough that they stand up to washing them once they get a little "funky", so you don't go through them super quick.

Good Sponge - 12.28.09

It's a good sponge. I use it everyday now and I like it so far. But it's a bit pricey though. And I agreed that it absorbed more than expected foundation... otherwise, it does its work quite nicely.
